I got my eyelash extensions done by the owner Jenny. I asked for a hybrid set for $65! It took a little under 2 hours and I felt very comfortable while getting my lashes done. Lasted me a good 3 weeks which was just what I needed for the holidays. Jenny is very nice and talkative! I recommend getting lashes done here Her and her husband own the place. They are both very nice people! They have a 20% off special so come in while it lasts!

Very happy customer, I have been coming here for years now. Brian is an expert doing my nails. Versus like other places that have cause bleeding around my nail cuticles . I can get 3d flowers, or just show him a picture from Pinterest. Jenny is amazing at putting my eyelash extensions. And they last a long time. I have been to other places where they make you become a member, and get disappointed because you can barely see the difference between your eyelashes and the ones they have put on you. And if you want to actually see them it's like paying for a brand new MK purse. But not at Taffy Nails , prices are so competitive! I always leave a happy customer!

Brian did my nails, and I absolutely love them! I will definitely be coming back. He was super accommodating and made sure that I loved the design before moving on to the next finger, his patience and skills are unmatched. I would say the only problem I had here was scheduling and having my appointment bumped to be a little later than planned. Other than that it was fabulous!

MIKE IS AMAZING!! I have been getting my acrylic nails done for 10+ years and been to 100s of nail salons in Southern CA but no one is like Mike!! He can get you any design, shape and color you want. His work is not only amazing, but it's quick. I will drive any distance for Mike. However, I don't have to because he's conveniently located right off the freeway! Also, everyone else at the salon is great. Pedis, manis, gel nails plus eyelashes. A one stop shop for me :)

I decided to take a chance on Nails & Spa by Taffy about two weeks ago - they are absolutely phenomenal. I do not regret my decision by any means! I use to live in Los Angeles County & GREAT nail techs were easy to come by, but not when it came to working in salons. They were usually independent & booked for months out. Since moving to San Diego, it's been hard to find great salons & trust me, i've tried countless. Nails & Spa by Taffy is BY FAR the best one i've been to since moving. They have amazing nail techs & theyre all perfectionists. your nails (& lashes) will look AMAZING!

First time trying out this salons lash extensions services yesterday. I was pretty upset throughout this experience. The lady that was assigned to do lashes got there late even though I had a set appointment. Then was talking to her coworker during my whole session. Keep in mind this room is small and 3 to a room was already uncomfortable given what times we're in. She'd take long pauses and then rushed through the last few minutes because one of the girls up front informed her that her next appointment was waiting. She had me dry my own lash extensions while she tried to clean up. Not sure I'd recommend this place after all.

The owner's wife Jenni is TERRIBLE. Gave me attitude from the start. I tried to ask for advice on best nail shape and stated she did not Know nail shapes. If I could give a 0 I would . Absolutely disrespectful to people of color. I went in to book an appointment while son was at son , was told to come back at 2 pm. Came back at 2 pm and was told my appointment time was booked and I can wait another hour or leave with a cold shoulder . I told her that I didn't have time to stay because of my son and she said leave. Don't waste your money here if you're black ...Taffy is the one that handled everything . read more

I have been going in regularly for the last few months for gel manicures and pedicures and I very pleased. They do get busy so I either call ahead for an appointment if needed or stop by to see if they have time. Everyone has been very nice and has done an excellent job. Brian is the best ! Always kills it at his work and always making my inspos come to life . He takes his time and when I have too simple of a request he is bored and likes to do my complex inspos. Super unprofessional! Jenny who normally did my lashes is just so rude! I had been going to her for months and I texted her trying to make an appointment for lash fill & she said she can't see me for a fill because I supposedly made an appointment with her and didn't show up when I had just gone a week ago to see her then says "so sorry it was a misunderstanding" then I texted her asking her for a lash fill and I've told her several times my availability due to being at work and she offers times that I am not available. The worst part is she texted me 2 times asking if I can come in certain day/time, 3 minutes later she says "sorry someone took it already" why would you offer me an appointment if she already offered it to someone else ? read more

Just had my first appointment and I did a gel manicure and pedicure. My nails look really great and for the first time my toes look also really good. I asked for a Christmas tree, since today is XMas Eve, and the gentleman added the cutest tree on my nail. Loved it. Pricing is good and technicians are very nice. I definitely recommend this place and will be coming back again. Thank you I'm updating my review, because I've now gotten my eyelashes done by Jenny and acrylic nails were done by Mike. I am so happy to be able to get my mani, pedi and lashes done in one place AND loved that all their technicians are well versed and do an amazing job! Best nail salon! read more

Best nail salon in San Diego, I've been to many around town, so happy to have found them! Brian is amazinggg with acrylics, he's great at shapping, keeping them thin/feminine but not fragile, the grow out is so clean and they last me about 3/4 weeks before I'm due for a fill. After moving south down into San Diego, I still come here with my bestie to get my nails done! The prices are so reasonable, I never pay more than 40-48 for my fill even when I get cool designs. My nail tech even cuts my cuticles and never rushes, he really takes the time to make them look ABSOLUTELY perfect. His wife always fits us into our mani/pedi appointments together and the whole staff is nice and personable. He's very talented and I always recommend this place to the girls at work! I was booked with Jamie for my Brazilian and let me just say she is god sent! She does an exceptional job, she's funny, and she takes her time to make sure everything is completely clean so you know it'll be perfect! The vibe itself is so cute, and everything is extremely sanitary. There was cleansing wipes for you to use inside the room before they see you and I think small details like that are what make for the best experiences! I agree with another reviewer that this is not a relaxing facial. Sabine is witty and funny but will talk the entire time about how great she is at waxing, skincare, etc. It was slightly offputting. I am absolutely furious with my eyebrow wax. I declined multiple times because I prefer to do my own. She insisted she would not change the shape and would just clean up. My eyebrows are completely ruined. She overly thinned them, shortened them, they're different lengths from the center, reduced my arch, and have completely different angles. After crying most of yesterday because it's my face, I'm just livid every time I look in the mirror. I'm mostly angry at myself for letting her pressure me. I'm just hoping that they grow back nicely and not patchy so I can fix them. Now, I have to deal with months of the awkward growing out phase if they grow back properly with any luck.

Thank goodness I found Taffy. Her and her staff were great! Very accommodating. I got married in the San Diego area, but I live in Nevada so I had to find all my vendors on-line. This was challenging since no one could recommend any places for me (that I trust), and I had to do a ton of research and hope to God that everything would work out on everyone that I picked. After much research for who to go with on a spa/nail day with my bridal party, I went with Taffy. I scheduled an appointment for 9 people -- all pedicures and manicures (with some sets) weeks in advance. I was nervous because I didn't know what to expect and we were getting our nails done the day before the wedding. When my bridal party and I walked in to the salon, there were 9 technicians waiting and there was no other patrons in the salon. Taffy had the whole place closed down for my bridal party and me! Every single technician was attentive to my bridal party's needs as well as my own. The massages were great - the technicians actually took their time - and nothing was rushed. Every one loved their nails and the prices were great! I could not have had a better experience at a nail place. If I lived in the San Diego area, I would definitely use Taffy for my pedicure/manicure needs. The place is clean and Taffy and her staff really care about their customers. Great place! read more

I needed to get my nails done today they were in terrible shape as my usual nail tech had been out of town this weekend, I decided I would try a new salon. Skeptical of course as I haven't gone to any of the salons in escondido as I saw no quality in any of the salons. I turned to yelp and found Nails & Spa by Taffy. After reading the reviews and looking through photos I figured why not. I contacted Jenny via yelp. She responded quickly and I told her what I was looking for and she setup an appointment with me for the same day on a Saturday this is usually not an option. I went in the salon was very clean and calm not to loud. I had my nails done by Brian and I have no bad things I can say. He was very welcoming and patient with me knowing I had to be out by a certain time, he did my nails beautifully and efficiently! I am typically extremely picky and difficult when it comes to my nails which is why I have been going to the same place and same nail tech in Santee for 6 years. However driving from escondido to Santee has been a nightmare sometimes and I am so happy I have found a new salon 10 min from the house that did an amazing job and I can't express hoW happy i am with the salon and my nails . After going to a favorite nail salon for 10yrs customer started to fail. I found this one on yelp said Why not. After a few visits I was able to see how they do business!!!! If your late 10 min after making an appt weeks ago, they just take the next person and don't bother to call u. Great Customer Service!!!! After my second pedicure I had the girl do my ingrown toe nails she absolutely made it so much worse. Don't ask to do something and the totally F it up. While she was doing my pedi she then cut me and said you must of had that when u came in. NO I didn't you would felt this cut since was fresh and it hurt like a B!!! the owner noticed this and did nothing and did g even offer to waiver fee. I would recommend his place keep trying other spots Ladies!!! read more

I go to this place often, and I've never had a complaint. I even bring my parents here when they are visiting. They recognize me when I call. They are always friendly. Heck, my dad had a blast chatting with the ladies while he got his pedicure (my dad's first time). If I want to chit chat with them, they'll talk with me, but most of the time I'm content to relax and read a book while they work. I can hear them chatting with other customers, so I know that they are friendly on that end too. Their pedis last quite a while. I can usually go a month without getting another pedicure, and I play beach volleyball which can be hell on a pedicure. I'm sorry that some folks have had a bad experience here, but I think your odds are very low. read more

I have been coming here for awhile to get my eyelashes done with Jenny and she is a goddess! She is quick, professional, and does AMAZING work. I moved to downtown SD and still make the drive up to escondido every few weeks because i love her work so much. More recently I started getting my nails done with Brian and he is so gentle with my hands and shapes my nails perfectly. Never leave this place disappointed with any service! read more

I have been coming here for over 10 years, everyone is professional friendly and I have never had a bad mani or pedi. They know me by name and always make me feel taken care of.
