Do not waste your time or money. My friend and I went in to Mimi's for a pedicure and my nails filled based off her prior experience with a gentleman who did a full set of holographic stilettos. We were greeted with high energy and were told to sit in two pedicure chairs. My water was SCOLDING HOT and left my feet very red (even after telling her to please cool it down). About after 20 minutes my friends pedicure was already wrapping up. Meanwhile, my lady kept repeatedly buffing my toes then following with an oil. Not sure why. She did not cut them, clean underneath and scrub the dry skin off the bottoms. My pedicure took a total of 1 1/2 hrs (not including my fill in for my nails. I've never wanted to just get up and leave a facility before until this place. Oh, and no prices or health ratings listed. Didn't notice until I was already seated. read more

Great clean environment to get a manicure, pedicure etc. They have a wide selection of gel polishes as well as other on trend brand polishes as well. Be warned...they have a dedicated following and going on the weekend is iffy. Sundays are usually slower. I have not tried their other services. read more

I DO NOT WASTE TIME OR MONEY!!!!!!!!!! I went in with my friend to get a pedicure and to get her SNS fixed. We were both seated and lady's went to work on our feet. The older lady that worked on my friends nails had the water too hot(her feet were blood red)she had to repainted her nails 3 times and a guy had to fix what she messed up and it took an hour and 1/2 to finish her pedicure. My lady sped through my pedicure. I was finished in 20 minutes, the polish I messed up, she cut my nails too short and my feet look no different then when I came in. My feet are dry and flaky when she asked how I liked the color after they were done I told her that the polish wasn't even and I didn't like it. Then I was given attitude from the lady and she wanted to fix them(which I appreciate) she was very rough with taking off my polish(she only took off one foot) and I sat in the chair for 20 minutes without anyone coming to repaint my nails. I was charged $43. Not only is there no prices but the equipment being used was not new. Old files, not sterilized clippers. Too many apprentices working not actual manicurist..... read more

I've been dealing wit Mimi for over 20 years and she has never let me down her and staff treats they customers like family and I luv them

I love Mimi and Tom when they had their place off 72W. But this place is a big let down. Their were 2 other people already in the process of getting a pedi when I walked in. So once I picked my color I was told to go to a station, once there I was handed a list of pedis ranging from $45-$20. I picked one the $30. So not even 2 mins into my pedi 3 women walked in and the lady doing my feet told them 20 mins. WELL as I was sitting there I noticed signs everywhere along the side wall saying prices differ depending on if level of skills by an apprentice or whomever. So I asked my lady what her charge was and was told $30. So are you an apprentice? No I have my license. Then I looked up and hidden on the wall (yes, you will not see the health department rating because its not visible when you walk in). Their score was 80!!!!! I have never seen a rating that low for a nail shop. So the lady rushed through my pedi because I somehow get done before the 2 ladies that were there before me and the lady beside me got the same pedi. And my lady was done just in time for the 3 other ladies that walked back in. Overall, I wouldn't go back to this shop, I will stick with my nail shop by my house because they do better work. I wouldn't even rate them a 1. Star , this is the nastiest most unprofessional nail place I have ever been to in the city of of Huntsville , al and the way they treat African Americans is pure disgusting . I came to get my nails done and Wednesday@ around 6:30 p.m. , they broke off . I would go back that night To get them fixed up at the nail place but they closed so I waited till the next day which was Thursday to get that nail repair . The same guy who died the nail replace them , well Friday the nail breaks again , So again so I called before attending there to speak with management to see what the issue was , and see if they could fix them . The manager knows I drove here from Athens , al which is now my second time fixing after paying $50. The manager Mimi then assured me to come in to get someone else to fix. So I head to the nail place , as I'm walking and I said hey I have already called can I get my nail repaired , I am told by MIMI DAUGHTER, yes you may have a Seat .... well after waiting for a while someone else walks in abs they ask questions regarding prices , and wanting a full set and they sit her down and do her nails . Then after I ask the daughter how can someone who just arrives get their nails done ahead of a repair that's been waiting for 30 mins . Then MIMi daughter began to get loud , and argue with me , telling me that I still need to wait , both not seeking any support or understanding of the situation , then she lies and say I have to wait for the same tech to redo my repair , when after speaking on the phone I was told someone else would do anything it . I was also told that the nail tech who as doing the full set , can't do a nail repair . What sense does that make ? (They can do a fill in , but can't do a nail repair ) Even as I am explaining myself Mimi began to yell at me abruptly in front of customers even after I give her respect . I am a business owner myself , and the respect you receive here is blatant disrespect. I even told the manager I would be leaving a review after the disrespect I received she yells she doesn't care " it won't hurt her ", again this is a business owner speaking to a customer like this . Little do they know I am in the military , and will be sure to spread the word to everyone I know . NOT TO GO TO NAILS BY MIMI , there are way better places who respect there customers . People should watch how they treat others , you never know who your customer is , or who they know , and you can definitely hurt business treating people in such a manner . I have not had my nails done in years (I mean like 10+ years) and decided since I have many events to attend this summer it would be a great time to get my nails done and kept up. I have always heard about Mimi and the great things she could do as well as great things about the nail salon. When you walk in to the Mastin Lake location you can see the Health Department rating (100 for anyone who is curious) and a sign that reads..(paraphrased)....Everyone will be charged and extra $3.00 will be charged for file/buffer etc due to sanitary reasons...Well seeing those two things I'm sold! There were 3 people in front of me when I got there so I did not wait long enough for me to feel irritated (which is anything over an hour or so lol). I want to have a disclaimer that I went on a Friday morning ~10ish so it wasn't crazy packed when I got there as indicated above, but as soon as it was getting close to my turn the flood gates trickled then opened completely. The technician indicated that it was busier on the weekends so beware. Mimi was available first to do my nails and I love the way she asked along the way if everything was okay and if I wanted a tweek it was totally cool. The price for my full set (acrylic) was reasonable enough ($25, my tip was $5--best $30 spent today), although I did not see anything that was visible with prices listed. Overall, I had a great experience and will be going back again. read more
