If appointments aren't honored, it makes you wonder why there's a system at all. On top of that, there was a child running around the salon barefoot, which really took away from the relaxing atmosphere you expect when getting a manicure or pedicure. The lady did not seem like she knew what she was doing all multiple people had to come check on her and from what i heard she seemed new. I asked her how long she's been doing them and she seemed hesitant. I tried correcting her many times on how i wanted length wise they made me far too long and made me pay extra for a length I didn't even want even after i asked multiple times to shorten it and all and instead of fixing it and doing it like the reference she kept adding extra charges. Mind you i paid extra for the half asses nails she did which looked nothing like the picture not to mention she made my nails bleed because she didn't stop when I asked. They looked awful. Mind you i wanted something simple and elegant and they made them sloppy crooked and like a child did them not even the cat eye was correct and i paid extra for all of this the price was insane for something that was supposed to not much and easy Make to a week or few later my nails start to hurt almost like grow super sensitive and almost broke twice and I hadn't even been a week. I go to get them removed and the nail tech at another salon goes to remove them and she noticed how sensitive my nail bed was She asked what products sun aura used and i said i wasn't sure. She said whatever product they used they did incorrectly or used the wrong sort of product because it practically melted and DESTROYED my nail bed. She said my nails were bleeding underneath and could have caused an infection. By the time my nails were removed it took hours to get them off my nail bed is completely ruined and bleeding to the point the nail tech didn't feel comfortable redoing them with gel or uv because she feared it would cause pain and get infected She recommended i get a refund because the person who did my nails completely ruined my nail bed to the point it wasn't natural. I hesitated due to me being a people pleaser but after a while my nails STILL hurt and the healing it taking longer then normal and keep reopening even when im at home not doing anything to cause it then splits are getting deeper and even cracking I am NEVER going to this nail salon again and suggest no one else does either. This salon use to be one that had bad reviews I didn't even realize until i saw the name of the salon when i called and recognized it from being one my mom went to and they did a god awful job on her nails wnd ruined hers as well Edit to review, not only did they not take accountability for the fact that they used a product on my nail that destroyed my nail but any attempt to be reasonable and professional with them were out the door due to the fact they are trying to gaslit my personal experience and call my experience a lie. When i confronted them about this instead of an apology or anything they tried to deflect the blame on the person that removed my nail and then blocked me when i called them out on exactly what chemical they allegedly used on my nail. I was serviced by Laura as a first time customer due to a referral by a professional contact. I started off small talk and we started talking about where one another were from. I informed her I was from Memphis and shortly after she stated "so how do you like Huntsville? I know it's better than being in Memphis." It caught me off guard, so I asked her had she ever been there and she let me know she had not. This is common stereotype from people so I blew it off. Later on in the conversation we are speaking about local establishments as I asked her about a former business that was in the plaza. She said she knew the owner and the conversation went on when it came to marketing. She then said she was talking to him about something and started what she said off with "ninja". I was so caught off guard because what she meant saying that was n***** I was so stunned that she said that to me as a Black woman. I would've gotten up and walked out, but due to the time constraints I restrained to get my service complete. The last thing was her talking about military people and veterans. She's going on and then says "you know y'all military people are crazy". I then responded because I'd had enough of the disrespect "You know people love the Black dollar but don't like Black people". She was silent the rest of the appointment. So she not only disrespected my hometown, but me as a Black person and a retired combat Veteran when you're in a city whose economy is based on military and government people is crazy. This was my first time meeting her. If she was this comfortable to say this in public who knows what is being said in private. Especially with recent events in the news. Do not support this business.
