The intention was for her to have a relaxing, special, and truly pampering experience. That's not what happened. From the beginning, the orientation was practically nonexistent. They didn't properly explain the process or what she was supposed to do. They simply told her to go into the sauna, without any further instruction. Upon entering, she realized that the saunas weren't separated for men and women. While she was in her swimsuit, a man entered wearing only a towel. This made her feel extremely uncomfortable. The man even started talking to her, when all she wanted was to relax and meditate. Because of the discomfort, she decided to leave the sauna before 10 minutes had passed. Then she went to the showers, where she again encountered a complete lack of privacy: open and uncontrolled doors, making it possible for anyone to see her while she showered. She couldn't relax or feel safe. She had to shower in her swimsuit for safety. The facial itself was performed, but the entire experience was already compromised. At the end, upon seeing the alcoholic beverages, she asked if they were included and was told they were. However, she was never offered the glass of champagne that was specifically included in the package and was one of the reasons she purchased this combo. Overall, the service was cold and disorganized. No one guided her, no one attended to her with care or made her feel pampered. It was as if she had to figure things out on her own, instead of receiving personalized attention. For almost $300, the experience was completely unsatisfactory. It did not live up to its promises or the level of quality and privacy expected of a place like this. I would not recommend it.

Although school got in the way, I finally managed to enjoy my gift today! The entire place smells really good, very relaxing dim lighting throughout and soothing music. My facial was done by Paula. She was super nice and easy to talk to. You are assigned a lounge bed before the facial begins and you return after for a drink of your choice (wine, water, champagne and whiskey etc) and snack (hummus or wrap). The facial took about 1.5hrs. You are offered heated hand mittens (do it!) I felt brand new after the whole experience and would do it all over again. Oh and the place was very clean.

She was very polite, wrote down my name and number and told me to come back in 20mins. Upon returning, the receptionist was not in front. I walk in to find Emily. I inquired about the appointment I made 20mins prior which she seemed very unkeen about (almost as if my appointment was an inconvenience). She sat me down and asked what did I have in mind for an updo. I wanted something chic however easy to do so I asked for a high sleek ponytail with the pony straightened (provided a photo reference). She carried on combing my hair only to say with an unhappy face "you have a lot of split ends". I expressed I was open to suggestions so she went on and recommended a braided crown. Sure, let's try it out. She did exactly that however, I was not impressed with the loose braid and asked if we can try it tighter and closer to the hairline so the crown is noticeable from the front. Which she did. She stepped away shortly after, came back and asked what did I think.... again, I was not impressed. She proceeded to slap her hands down and then say very rudely "you have to let me know then". Well, I thought I did? When I showed you what I wanted only to tell me I have split ends and that "that's not cute". Moving on, I asked again, what do you suggest other than a braided crown. She ignored the question, proceeded to unbraid my hair to then say AGAIN, very rudely.."you have split ends what do you want me to do with that?!". That was the moment I decided to walk out and not compensate this woman who insulted me THREE times. For a small establishment, I would expect the hair dressers here to provide better quality customer service especially when the charge for an updo (without a wash and dry) is $50.
