Possibly the worst mani pedi I have ever had. I wasn't expecting much because this is Clearlake after all, but I was expecting a basic level of service to be rendered. I wanted a regular pedicure and a gel manicure. Easy enough. Pedicure was so/so. No real exfoliation or massage. I had a Luke warm stone wafted over my calf. Messy polish application. I was then walked to my manicure chair, barefoot. Ew. The lady never asked me about length or shape and just immediately started cutting my nails all the way off! I said who too short! Too short but it was too late. I then had to argue that I didn't want gel anymore because it was a waste on short nubby nails. She then didn't cut my left hand so now they are medium length. Polish was ancient and lumpy. Top coat applied uneven. I was walked to the dryer (barefoot again) and left to my misery. In near tears I asked to pay. $55! $55! I feel violated. She was practically grabbing the money out of my hand while I was counting out. I tipped only 9 which I still feel was too much. Absolutely never again. Only giving 2 stars instead of 1 because Yelp filters out the 1 stars sometimes. read more

Today I had a callus treatment done and the technician used the callus remover tool too much in one area and it cause a super tender spot on my foot. I was a walk in, so I expected a wait and it was an hour or sooo they said. Ended up waiting an hour 1/2 which again I didn't make an appointment so I expected it. Not once did they acknowledge my presence and did not apologize for the long wait. They acted like me being there was an inconvenience. I explained I needed a fill and a pedicure they did my pedicure and took 3 more customers so I asked if they were going to do my fill and they forgot and told me to wait. Soo I waited an extra 45 mins to get a fill and finish up. Then as I sat there for a total of 3 1/2 hours I watched how rude they were to all their customers. And their card machine was down they decided not to tell anybody until end of services so customers had to go get cash again no apologies for the inconvenience. And because of their service there was a customer that didn't come back to pay and can't say I blame her after how rude they were to her specifically. Last time, despite making an appointment for a pedicure, I had to wait an additional 20 minutes before being seated in a chair to soak for longer than necessary. Today, after waiting nearly 30 minutes for my pedicure appointment, I was told to seat myself to soak and after 15 minutes, still didn't have anyone paying any attention. I decided 45 minutes (plus drive time) was enough of my time to waste. I received a call about 15 minutes after I'd left, saying customers come in and ask for additional services during their appointments, so that's why I had to wait for my appointment. They didn't even have the decency to tell me that had double booked and allow me to leave they just kept saying "10 more minutes" what a joke. Too expensive and not the best service for $40 a deluxe pedicure not much different from a regular $25 and not worth the money! And my heels still looked like they were not scrubbed when I told the person about it I was told oh you have to come four times a month to get that fixed. Not everywhere else I go! Also for $40 elsewhere I can get brows waxed, a deluxe pedicure with a foot wax, and a basic manicure. If you charge that much and you can't get the callus off of my heels why bother. I've lived in SF & NY and just moved to Clearlake. I've tried several nail shops in town and was never fully satisfied until finding Nails In Town. Tom put an ad in the church bulletin three months ago so we tried them. Now my mom and I visit the first week of every month for a mani/pedi. You girls know this is maintenance personal grooming not a luxury. The space is professional, clean, has good light, is nicely decorated and has a big TV near the pedi chairs. They also have waxing services besides the latest in nail options. Tom & Tina are gracious proprietors and nail technicians. Mae is a friendly and sweet part of the team. Absolutely HORRIBLE STAY AWAY! !! I went to cosmetology school and normally would do my nails myself but i didn't want to deal with it.so upon entering not only did I have to wait 45 minutes past my appointment time (they made other with appointments reschedule or wait as well due to accepting walk ins) the first woman who refused to show me her license (wasn't posted at station) glued three of my base nails on crooked then refused to straighten or fix them and proceeded to rudely tell me my nail beds are crooked (they aren't and I have never had this issue) then I was rushed to a different table where the next lady had just finished doing another person's nails and she refused to change the towel which was covered in the previous clients nail clippings and acrylic dust. I changed the towel myself and the lady proceed to file down my layers of acrylic placing each drill bit back in a container marked "clean" which was full of acrylic dust ( I'm assuming from several other clients) I was originally quoted 25.00 for the nails I wanted (i requested almond shaped they gave me squoval stating that almond shapes were ugly i personally dont give a shit because thats what i wanted) which magically turned into 60.00 because I requested an acrylic powder pre mixed with glitter rather than an old separated nail polish option, which if you do your own acrylic a one inch container of glitter for acrylic costs about 1.50$ Very rude, unhygienic, unprofessional, disgusting place. Perfect if you are fearless and want to try your luck with not getting a fungal infection or mrsa. They are breaking so many sanitation laws it's not even funny. My nail beds are ruined and my nails popped off after 1 week. Avoid this place like the plague unless you want screwed up nails or have never had your nails done by a real professional in order to know the difference! read more

This nail salon will not have my business ever. First time I had an appointment the man was 20 minutes late. I said ok get my manicure and pedicure new to the area he will work out the kinks. Well I had an appointment for 9:30 am today no one there I looked at the sign on the door and it says open at 10 so I thought ok he forgot to call me and let me know he changed his opening time waited until 10 no one there so I finally reached him by phone he said sorry did not realize you had an appt at 9:30 then why in the hell did you write it in your appt book and take my phone number. The reason for the phone number is to call me if there will be a change. So he inconvenience me I went to Lakeport and had my manicure there which I will continue to go to. First time shame on you second time shame on me. I hope no one else receives this kind of service maybe you should close this salon and stay in Clearlake I repeat you will never get my business and I will never recommend you to my friends or acquaintances.
