And the paint job was uneven and terrible. Literally took him 20 min for fill and paint... (Other places take their time) NEVER AGAIN. He also had the nerve to put down the nail salon my existing nails were from, que? From my small experience of just a fill and I only expect a full set being garbage. You will be much happier at American Nail salon down the road, my mistake for changing up my salon. I've gone here twice for a gel manicure. The first one was sub-par, other places I can get a gel manicure and it will last me three weeks (aside from it growing out, obviously). I decided to give them a second chance, thinking maybe the first manicure didn't last due to some fault of mine, and returned two weeks later for another. Even when I left the salon after the second gel manicure there were spots on my nails that hadn't been painted, I had chips by the next day, and two days after getting it two nails had just peeled right off. If I could give negative stars I would. Given this place a couple of tries and it fails. 1. The other reviews are true. If you get a pedicure they cut your nail crooked. Even if you mention. They also will not take care of any calluses unless you opt for the more expensive package. Nice, huh? 2. Took my daughter there - she has acrylic nails and has had them for awhile. All she wanted was a fill and a nice paint job with a design on FOUR nails. After sitting there for two hours and watching the guy struggle making a 'V' on her nail with utter failure she decided just to have them painted plain. There was no discussion on gel polish and he ended up putting gel polish on with a regular top coat. Unbelievable. When my daughter expressed concerns to the manager - he pretty much forgot how to speak English. I've been coming here for over a year because it's close to home. I've read many of the reviews and honestly I don't have any complaints. I make my appointment with the same nail tech all the time and the same one for my pedis. I'm pretty simple just a polish and French on my toes so I can't really speak on the capabilities of the art work- honestly I've never seen any but that doesn't mean they aren't capable of doing it. If you get a minor pedicure or manicure before you leave pay attention to the job they are doing. I got that when I left my fiance and I noticed many things wrong with his and my pedicure/manicure. I asked for a shine and buff she barely buffed, the nails were crooked on both of our feet and his finger nails were not cut even. We basically paid $100 for a leg massage and wine. We recently moved to the Bartram Springs area and were excited to try this salon out. It is a decent size, clean, and wasn't crowded at all when we went. I wanted a pedi and my friend a mani. The wait was really long for the amount of people in the salon. They seemed understaffed. The owners wife started my pedicure, while my friend continued to wait. She was nice enough, but she was extremely rough on my feet. She seemed to be rushing, and it wasn't relaxing at all. She cut my nails much too short. They were also crooked. There was no massage at all, and then a different girl painted my toes. She was messy, and got polish all over my toes. My friend was never even seen, and ended up just walking out because they kept taking other people. They tried to say it was because some of the employees weren't licensed, and that they all had their own departments. That never really made sense though, as my friend only wanted a basic manicure, no polish or anything. I've never had anyone at a salon do that. All that aside, I wouldn't go back. My feet ache and are very uncomfortable. A pedicure is supposed to be relaxing and make your feet happy...not so with this Nails So Happy! read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced in a nail salon. On top of that, I left wondering why I paid for nails that looked worse when I left than when I walked in. I paid to "upgrade" my pedicure and got a 20 second massage (literally) followed by a terrible paint job. Paint was clearly all over my skin and she did not do anything about it. The girl that did my nails talked to a co worker the whole time and let me sit there for five minutes after my nails were done. I had to ask if I was finished. I went in to change the color of my gel nails and they charged me over $30 because the guy made a mistake and removed the acrylic powder that was underneath the gel. They had to put on a whole new full set and then charged me for their mistake. Then they changed the shape of my nail from square to round. I've given them many tries out of convenience but will never go back. They also constantly up sell you to the point of feeling harassed. read more

If I could file a better business bureau report against them I would! Worst most horrific salon I've ever experienced and I've been getting my nails done for at least 15 years. I'm 4 months pregnant and I went to get my nails taken off because I thought it was just time for a change. I told them repeatedly to soak them off and they refused making me sit there literally bleeding and in pain while they used a fake nail to peel it off. All they could say was oh sorry! I had tears streaming down my face and my nails bleeding. The lady doing it pulled off huge chunks of my real nails and they are still healing from a month ago. This place gives the worst manicure ever! I came in requesting my gel to be removed. She puts acetone, cotton and these pink clips over my nails for 5 min and of course nothing lifts up on its own so she uses the electric tool to remove them. If that's the case she should have removed it with that from the get go. Even after using that I STILL had gel on my nails. So I stated I wanted a manicure but no polish. She must have asked me 10 times "so no gel" until I told her why. First off the manicure is $14 even if you decide on no polish. I didnt even want the hand massage because I just wanted to leave. After she completed the manicure I checked my cuticles and the sides of my nails, just horrible, extra pieces of my nail was there and cuticles looked unkept and hadn't been properly 'manicured'. I told her just that and wanted to pay. I couldn't be bothered nor did I want to cause a scene with then everybody in the salon watching me as entertainment. Only went because I had a gift certificate. Had a basic pedicure and a gel manicure. Pedicure was okay, not a very good polish job. The gel manicure is terrible! Nails were not filed even. The polish looks lumpy and uneven. Can't wait to get this polish off my nails and go back to my regular place! read more

Went to get a full set of pink and whites put on around May 10th. Was referred to this salon by a friend. Had the full set put on and all of the nails were left with a big lip near the cuticle so it would catch in my hair all the time. A few weeks later I came back to get a fill done and to fix the issue on the nails. The owner told me that this set had been put on wrong and I would need a new set. I explained that this salon had just done the new set 2 weeks ago and I paid $40 for a set then. He proceeded to cut my nails off for a new set lecturing me on how bad they had been put on. Once again, this salon had done the full set. Throughout the process of this new set there was nothing for me to rest my arm on while he was working on my nails so my arm kept cramping and shaking. So I put my phone or hand under the elbow of the hand he was working on to help with the pain. He snapped at me saying "why do you keep putting something under your elbow?!" It was putting something there because my arm was hurting. He then cut my cuticle/finger up with the tool he uses to smooth the nail out. I had to tell him that he was cutting me for him to stop. The whole process was terrible and not a way to earn someone's business. I have been getting my nails done for over 10 years and none of this behavior is normal. He was more concerned about being on his phone with phone calls and texts than paying attention to my nails. Will never recommend this place to anyone!! read more

Like others my rating would be even less if possible. I paid $48 for a gel fill and the owner who performed the service guaranteed the fill for two weeks. Less than two days later the polish began to chip off at the ends of my nails. I waited two additional days to see if it was just a "fluke". No fluke, a total of four days after the original fill, seven nails showed severe chipping. So I went down first thing when they opened so as not to go at a busy time and talked with the owner. He became very upset, said he would add a top coat sealer but could not redo my nails (so we are going to seal the chipped polish, I think not). After discussing his original guarantee, it was clear to me that he has no guarantee nor customer service. When I asked to see his license so I could get his name, he threatened me and pulled his license off the wall so that I couldn't see his name. I am a retired, senior citizen and cannot afford this type of verbal abuse nor the cost of shoddy workmanship. I personally will never return to this shop and will file a complaint with the BBB. read more

I recently went here because my usual nail salon is by my work which is all the way across town. I decided to stop by this salon by my house to get a quick acrylic fill and my toenails painted. The salon was clean and quiet. The same tech did my fill and my toenails, she was very rough and filed the acrylics down too thin. Within a week, three of my nails had polish chipped (never had an issue with this on acrylics before) and two of the acrylics had broken at the top. My toenails were cut and painted very poorly and I had to go get them recut because they were sharp on the edges and were hurting. Would not ever go back here. read more

My nails are not so happy. Today I went there for a fill. Tony was using the electric drill on the acryllics but when he kept drilling the same areas over and over, it hurt! So I told him he was hurting me and he said I should just watch the tv. I told him watching tv won't change the fact I'm feeling pain! He took 3 acrylics off that needed to be replaced, so I asked him to take them all off and asked him to just put gel on without the acrylic underneath. That's when he got so rough he actually ripped a chunk of my real nail off down to the nail bed and it was bleeding!! I asked for antiseptic and he ignored me! I realized at that point my nail was so damaged and bloody, he couldn't put gel polish on it. So he just took out a bottle of clear polish as a finishing touch on my other nails, and put a bandage on my injured nail. You would think he would compensate me for ripping off my nail, but he charged me and told me to come back in 2 weeks! Horrible place!! I hope I don't get an infection! read more
