Nail So Good after thoughts: for the sake of 1st visit, no tech name will be given. As I waited did notice some very beautiful work being done on some of ladies that were nearing completion & was feeling very confident in the work I would receive. Place is older & felt a little dated in comparison to the other places I've used. I came for S&S Dip Powder nail work. To save time , I was prepped by another tech that did a good enough job. S&S powder work: cleaned the old work well but she did not cut my nails but filed them down, which I found odd. Powder dip was only done in two coats and the work was not even to the quality I am accustomed (see photos). I've been getting S&S work since 2021 & have a great comprehension of how the nail routine goes & this missed a few refining steps. Work is uneven & the shapes of surface of my nails have ripples & even bubbles in some areas. Recommendations: men should have the same quality work just as the women do. Refine the work especially at the finish. Please do not assume that men don't care about "quality," since we are still paying the same price. Clean the entire hand (check both hands - top & bottom) of powder & the tips of my nails should not feel rough & scratchy. If your customer is new, clarify the work they want done & not just color we want. "Nail So Good," is your brand name & unfortunately I left there not feeling so good. I was looking for a new nail tech, had positive expectations from reviews I've read. This experience has left me feeling unsatisfied. I put a lot of trust in any new establishment I visit in getting satisfactory or even just the stand job. For the guys who are looking for quality work, at this time, I would not recommend this place. I witness quality work but I believe it's only reserved for women. read more

I came here for a pedicure instead of going to my normal place b it was convenient while it was raining heavily. I sincerely wish I'd gone to my usual spot. The woman who did my pedicure barely spoke to me and clearly didn't listen when I spoke to her. She broke the skin on one of my big toes several times and didn't seem to care at all. I had to repeat myself three times about wanting all of the nails cut as short as possible. Then, while the woman was using the pumice stone on my heels, it broke and she picked up the broken piece off the floor and tried to continue using it on my foot. The last straw for me is that while putting lotion on my legs, she coughed on me. Not a relaxing or pleasant experience at all. Absolutely do not waste your time or money here. Despite the name, no one is happy they went to Nails So Happy. read more

I got a full set of tips with gel on top and BOY. I have never had a worse manicure in my life. The nails were going all different directions, we're not the same length, are not level and have ridges in them, and she didn't even cover my entire nail with paint, it looks so sloppy I had to go home and refile them and I'm still not happy at all. How bout NO, like just go somewhere else. I was in Jax on business and decided to get a mani and SNS and this place was close to where I was and someone said they weren't bad. When the guy cut my skin with the drill and shaved my nails down so thin that one broke I should have walked away, but I stayed. I don't wear false nails and pride myself in my healthy long nails but this man filed my nails so thin that one split and I could feel the heat from the machine on my nails. After that catastrophe the SNS process begins....now he dipped correctly but my nails were clumpy afterwards and he applied gel polish as a top coat and put my hands under the UV light...if I wanted gel, I would have asked for gel but it's my fault I should have waited until I got back home and went to an establishment that I knew and trusted. 2 stars for the pedicure lady, the nail guy gets negative 3 stars PS - pass on the red wine, it's red sugar yuck read more

This was honestly the worst pedicure experience I've ever had. I waited over 30 minutes to be seen, then waiting under 15 minutes in the salon chair. I kept asking the lady to at least turn on the water so I could soak my feet and she kept saying "give me some time." The technician had no skill and had no experience with in grown nails. She was very rough and kept pulling out bits and pieces. Sadly she called her boss over and he dug so deep in my nail bed that I started bleeding. They kept saying "that's normal to bleed." The tech also kept interrupting the pedicure and went to the front desk to check customers out. I told them this was the worst experience. I stopped half way through, gave the lady a 20$ bill and walked out. I was really looking forward to a pedicure but they absolutely ruined it for me. read more

My friend and I had an appointment for manicures at the same time. We had plans to get our nails done, get lunch and see a movie. When we arrived just before our appointment time, there were no technicians available. We waited about 10 minutes. They took my friend first so she could soak her gel nail polish off and a tech took me. He cut my cuticle and it bled. No other tech came to take my friend - she had to wait until my service was done, leaving the remover on way too long. When people make appointments together, they should be taken together and finish together. They take too many walk-ins without considering their appointments on the books. I hope I don't get a nail fungus from the cut - I've been dealing with one on my toe from another shop for over 2 years. read more

Sadly this was not the relaxing mani pedi experience I was looking for with my young daughter. I had been in here before by my myself and it was a great pedicure and a lovely employee. This time it was a completely different experience. The atmosphere is quiet and almost grim and no one talks to you (but all are talking to each other). The man who did my manicure was rude and the manicure itself wasn't great either. My daughter was unhappy as well and I should have left after the 10 minute manicures were finished. The pedicure experience wasn't much better and I know I will regret my decision even more when my overly clipped toenail nails start to hurt tomorrow. read more

I was very happy with the quality of my pedicure, I went with the second highest level so it was more than I was used to paying.. but totally worth it. Pedicure options are clearly detailed in a pricing sheet, which I love. Feet and legs were both given the royal treatment. Great comfy chairs, good for long legs. TV was on but not obnoxiously loud and the staff all seemed friendly. Two minor inconveniences: 1, the pedicure description said it included a complimentary soda which was never offered. Not a huge deal but it definitely would have been nice. 2, I absolutely adore the little leg pedestal things that are so popular down here. ya know, the little thing you can prop your foot on so they can scrub the bottom of your feet without requiring you keep your leg lifted for minutes on end? yeah.. I went in for a regular mani-pedi and the lady that greeted me (Sue) tried to upsale me a gel mani (as they always do) after I declined she lost complete interest and half did my services. During my pedicure she tried to upsale me again and after I DECLINED, once AGAIN, she did not buff my heels nor did she finish my polish job. She completely ignored my requests and handed me off to a gentleman to finish my polish and do my mani. She then proceeded to walk out of the door. During my mani, the gentleman repeatedly exclaimed how thick my cuticles were in between texting and answering phone calls. I could not wait to leave this place... Never again!!! read more

I popped in to get my eyebrows waxed and had a positive but odd experience. I was greeted at the door by a man who asked how he could help. I stated that I needed an eyebrow wax and he said that it would be a moment as he was working on a woman's nails with a tool. I turned around to sit down and before I could, he told the woman he was helping he'd be right back and took me in the back. Odd right? I lay on the table, he waxes my eyebrows and we're done in under five minutes. I pay my bill $8 (good deal) and he goes back to the woman. I felt bad that it seems like he just up and abandoned her when I was happy to wait a few minutes. Aside from the red skin my eyebrows look good and not feminine as can occur at times. This place is horrible. I got my eyebrows and lip waxed yesterday. The man in the back was so sloppy with the wax. He took off too much of my eyebrows. He waxed not only my upper lip but my lip its self and my checks, very uneven. I got up and noticed my eyebrows were different. He immediately went into defense. Then said he would fix it. Instead he pulled the skin off my left eye. I slept through the night and woke up with swollen skinless eye. Not to mention when I got to my car I noticed there was still wax on my cheeks, which I never asked to be waxed. He even had wax in my hairline above my eyebrows. He needs to be fired. I was a walk-in with my roommate. I'm seriously disappointed. I hate my nails so much I want to cry! I got a black matte (should be pretty simple) thinking this couldn't be hard to mess up, but it was a total FAIL! There are parts of my nail that aren't painted some of the polish didn't get fully covered by the matte coat she put on, plus the polish is bumpy and not straight! I have polish on my skin and cuticles and to top it off I'm now home and some of the polish has peeled off!‍ I shouldn't have paid for this. I feel rip off! Something that was supposed to be a good experience to help me feel pretty and relaxed before the New Year has totally ruined my day! I would've asked her to fix it accept she already had someone in her chair (probably her next appointment she rushed me out for) I felt rude asking her to fix and kicking this other woman out of her appointment she made. When my wife went to use it they accused her of changing the date on the certificate and wouldn't provide service until I showed receipt of payments. Don't know if my guy wasn't licensed or if it was his first time... I paid 40$ for one of the worst pedicures I've ever received that was done with DIRTY tools even tho I asked for clean ones. The man could understand me enough to know I was asking for different tools, I told him I wanted ones that came from a new package and he argued with me telling me they were clean and proceeded to pick up a cuticle pusher that was VERY obviously NOT clean, swished it in my pedicure water and continued the service. I didn't want to make a scene so I sat there praying I wouldn't get anything gross coming out of here. I went for a gel manicure and pedicure, and the second the woman turned on the water, it sprayed all over me and she could not get it to stop, another employee had to shut the water off, no apology was received. The gel is thin, uneven, and feels as though it's regular polish, and i can already tell it won't last. The white tips on my french manicure are uneven and choppy. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Cut my toe nails so short and then complained I had none to work with, told them I wanted the second package and only did half the service when I asked about the rest they told me I was wrong that I told them I wanted the basic one. I walk into the salon at 7:00 because I read online that they close at 8:00 on Saturday nights, I pick my color and sit in the chair, and my pedicure is finished at 7:12... They had already mopped the floor and had me walk across the salon in those slippery flip flops with a wet floor!! They slide my card, let me dry my toes for 2 minutes, and say keep the shoes, good night... They lock up the place and all haul out of there at 7:15... They literally kicked me out, and my nails weren't dry so now I'm sitting in the car waiting for them to dry so I can put my shoes on and continue with my errands next door. Not only was this unprofessional but very, very rude. I will not be back and I will be sure to tell all of my family and girlfriends about the awful experience I had. read more

I don't know why I didn't write my review earlier, I had such a BAD experience that I should of warned everyone when it happened, but here it is. Moved from Philly not long ago and needed a place where I could be seen quickly ( a new born was waiting for me at home) and I ended up not only with all the post-partum "pain/recovery" but on top of that with nails so badly done that I had to go to a podiatrist. Yes. You read right. A foot doctor to fix my toe nails ( both feet) because instead of cutting the cuticle, they decided that cutting the nail was better. I experience pain when the lady cut the nail wrong ( didn't know it was the nail that she cut)...But to be honest, I thought that she had just cut me and that it would Probably sting a little when using the nail polish remover, but oh boy was I wrong... 2 days later both of my toes were so swollen that it woke me up and NOTHING could touch my feet. I had never ever had ingrown nails, this was my first time, I even experienced fever!!!! Omg seriously, it was bad. Today, 4 Months later, I'm finally seeing the light since my nails are almost fully grown. If you can stay away from this place, please please do so. I don't want anyone to experience what I did. It took the man all of 15 minutes to place... they looked okay, but were NOT INDIVIDUAL AS THE WHOLE STRIP WAS CONNECTED. I was told they'd last 2 weeks. You have abundant of choices of nail salons in Jax, just stay away from this one. Came in for a simple fill, why charge $3 to cut them down? Lol The man was very rough with my hands, I cannot stand when a technician is done with your hand they rudely push it back. NEVER ASKED ME if I wanted to change the shape from square or rounded. And the paint job was uneven and terrible. Literally took him 20 min for fill and paint... (Other places take their time) NEVER AGAIN. He also had the nerve to put down the nail salon my existing nails were from, que? From my small experience of just a fill and I only expect a full set being garbage. You will be much happier at American Nail salon down the road, my mistake for changing up my salon.
