I have been going here for about a year. I had always enjoyed my experience and service. Recently, I have personally felt somewhat less than welcome. This past weekend I took my young daughter who is working extremely hard to not chew her cuticles or bite her nails to get her nails done. I again felt less than welcome by one owner and the young girl who did my daughters nails was less than responsive and left a couple of cuticles completely untrimmed on my daughters hands and me honestly not wanting to come back again. I am bummed. This is a great location for me with my often challenging schedule..... I would rather find another place that is happy to have the business. read more

SEE LAST SENTENCE - DO NOT GO HERE! Clearly the yelp user who reviewed this place before me was drunk when she wrote this lol... No one offered me a glass of wine... or even any water.. But thats not why I gave the place 1 star... So I got a pedicure here and my feet were soaking in the water... all was going well. The person came over and decided to clean out the bottom of the water and pulled out hair and junk. Meanwhile my feet have been soaking in this disgusting water for like 20 mins. WTF?! AND the idiot did not even use a toe separator when painting my toe nails... i was like uhhhhhhh.... ?! so obviously when my feet were drying, one of my toe nails got messed up bc it touched another toe. When I looked at it closely, I noticed that all my toe nails were filed unevenly and were not evenly painted. It was quite disappointing. I figured there was no point in asking them to fix it, cuz clearly they suck. I want you all to know that it's been over a week and my feet are still extremely itchy and my feet are NEVER itchy. I have been going to Nails Venus as long as they have been open. I love every single one of the nail techs!! They are personable and fun to talk to. Have definitely made friends with them all. They celebrate life with joy and love the different personalities they deal with. I have never experienced a bad moment there and they always do a wonderful job on my nails and my eyebrows. Their family is like my extended family. So go see them - even during the COVID scare because they have been certified as clean - just please wear your mask. I went to Nail Venus while on vacation in Wilmington. I had gotten a cut and color at Solarhair next door and my styslist recommended this place for a pedi. I took a friend with me and we had a great experience. Everyone was extremely friend and my guy had us laughing the entire time. We had a glass of wine and sat back in our massaging chairs to relax whenever we weren't bent over in laughter. Atmosphere is nothing extraordinary and the price is on par with most places I go. No frills but really great service and pretty feet :) I'll definitely be stopping here anytime I need my nails done in Wilmington. read more

I have been going here forever. The owners know me by name and always catch up with me when I go. The staff is so nice. The male owner is so funny and comical. He does very very good acrylics. The female owner is so nice. She does the perfect mani. The pedicures are always relaxing and amazing. The nail polish last for at least a month or two months without chipping (I'm not easy on my feet especially in the summer where I'm constantly in a pool or on the beach) The prices are fair. They are pretty much the same as any other nail salon. The customer care is fantastic. I would highly recommend this nail salon for all your nail needs. read more

I went here to get a pedicure 5 days ago and my toes are still painfully sore. I'm pretty sure I have an infection and will probably have to see my doctor soon, as I thought this would have at least improved since it happened. It started with one side of one toe being sore, now both of my big toes are so sore that I can't comfortably wear shoes. And it is too cold for flip flops:( I'm really disappointed because I just wanted to do something relaxing for myself and it has turned into a disaster. I'm not really one to complain, and I don't even like writing this review, but this is pretty serious so I thought I should say something. I've researched how infections can come from pedicures and most of what I found said that improper cleaning of the foot baths and/or tools, and cutting cuticles too deeply can allow bacteria to cause infections. I would say in my case all of these probably are true. read more
