I made 1pm appointments for me and my two sister's two weeks in advance, for manicures. When we arrived we had to wait for 30 minutes. Then only one manicurist was available. Three hours later our manicures were finished. We were upset. The owner was on his phone, didn't even help the two girls working. The spa had no AC on , it was 91 outside. A roach ran on the wall behind the manicure station. It was gross. Plus, all the polished we selected were dried up and gooey. This place is failing. Go somewhere else. read more

My daughter and I went for our nails and a facial to prepare for my daughter's wedding. They did a nice job on our nails but the facials were terrible. Nice lady but she rubbed lotion on our eyes for most of the facial. There was no exfoliating or pore cleansing. Real nice nails. I'm from Asheville so the nail techs are 2/10 but Garden Nails was really good. They were short staff but worked quickly and efficiently to get everyone through. June 10, 2016 I came in on the day of my wedding. Yes I was that bride, but not really. Any who I needed my usual coffin shaped nails but I needed something extra. I found a picture on Pinterest with glitter ombré. It was everything. At first Davy said he didn't have anything to make it. I usually get gel because to me for the length of my nails it's just better. I was a little disappointed because Davy has been able to do everything I've asked. Davy ended up making some glitter acrylic and make my nails look even better than the picture. I was so happy. He added to my day. The best nail salon in Wilmington...Hands Down! They are courteous, fast, and very knowledgeable. This is the only place I have gone that knows how to do coffin shaped nails right. They also do glitter acrylic and designs. Very affordable. Average nail salon. Color selection is okay. The mani pedi felt rushed and didn't pay attention to much detail. A lot of the polish/shelac was on my cuticles and therefore did not last very long (~1 week) before chipping off. The atmosphere is alright, no T.V.s or anything to look at. The only music playing was a random instrumental playlist. While I was receiving my manicure, one girl came in to ask if she could get one of her nails fixed (which would take ~5 minutes) and they would not help her at all, which gave me a really negative vibe of the establishment, especially since I accidentally mess up my nails frequently. Therefore, if you want a quick and relatively cheap mani/pedi, this is the place for you. If not, I suggest going somewhere else. read more

I went here after seeing pictures and reviews and I am BAFFLED after my visit. I will never return to this location. I came here for a pedicure and manicure. First off the pedicure. The lady was nice and my toes look good. However. The price sheet for a basic or number 1 on the list for a pedicure was 26 dollars which is fine. I read the description listed for what I was getting and thought that's a good deal. Only the lady didn't do a number of things listed, so maybe they did to update their sheet then if that's the case. I want know what what I am paying for and pay the correct amount for what I want and what I don't want. So I shrug that off no big deal. THEN after my toes finished the guy who was either a manager or owner was suppose to do my Nails had already started someone's nails so I ended up having to wait- and again I think okay no big deal. Only then I got fed up when the guy in the middle of his client LEFT the store to go Uber somewhere and was gone for almost an hour. So when he came back he still had to finish the client before me because he left her hanging. They ended up giving me to some other guy. (Who was nice) but I had to show them and tell them multiple times what I wanted and this wasn't anything difficult. It was just ombré nails with the same shape I have with some diamonds. I got at this nail salon at 1:13 and LEFT at like 4:36 They move at a slow speed on top of everything else. Don't waste your time. I'm not even fully satisfied with my nails nor did I mention the diamonds I didn't get because I spent enough of my time there and my nails are more rounded then I wanted. read more

I'm sorry but I am yet again disappointed. It's shameful because I gave this place a second chance since I saw the reviews but that was my mistake. First I want to point out that I feel as if they treat their customers based on race I just noticed a significant difference between the way I was treated verses the other customers . Secondly the nail tech didn't do as we discussed before he started. I wanted To get nail art but he started painting my nails . When he did I noticed the color wasn't even the same as the one I picked out. When I mentioned it he still ignored me. Once we were done he could tell I wasn't very pleased I even gave up on the pedicure because I was so saddened that my nails weren't turning out right . I feel as if I was tricked by the nails that they have posted as a review because my nails look NOTHING like those pictures. They are uneven and thick ( which they charged me an extra $5) for something I didn't ask for or had any idea he was doing it & guess what ?? They have no price sheet to verify their charges and he didn't take the time with shaping or filing them . Im not a picky person but one thing I truly dislike in a nail shop is a pushy nail tech and that's EXACTLY what I got , I was so overwhelmed and So disappointed that I didn't get anything I originally came in for ...I won't be returning. read more

After recently moving to Wilmington I had to find a new nail salon and decided to visit based on the great reviews. Unfortunately my experience was not nearly as good as everyone else who has reviewed. The salon was clean for the most part and they had a good selection of polishes, however the tech who did my nails was incredibly rude. After telling her that I would like my nails coffin shaped and need them fairly short due to working with my hands all day as a law enforcement officer, I was told that because of the shape they needed to be long because they would look ugly short. After telling her that I have had them short before and would prefer them short she continued to tell me that my nails would look ugly. After applying my tips and acrylic powder she began to file down my nails and I had a visible cut on my finger and asked her to be careful. While filing with the drill she ran over my cut and I once again told her it was painful and to be careful and she said that I would be okay. I should have left right then but I did not want to leave without my nails being finished. She then applied the nail polish and applied two coats, which would normally be sufficient however, the nail polish I selected was a dark color and was not very opaque. I asked her if she could apply a third coat because there were visible light patches where the polish had not adhered and she stated that their policy was to apply two coats. Once my nails were complete and I went to checkout I was charged $60 dollars for a full set acrylic. After telling her that was extremely high and that I had called prior to my appointment and was told it would be $35 she stated that they did not have a set price and it was based on how a client got their nails done. Needless to say I will never be returning to this salon again and I will warn anyone who is thinking about coming here. read more

So I hate to give a bad review but I just wasn't impressed with this place. The decor makes me feel like I'm in an Asian takeout restaurant and not a nail salon. They didn't give me a wait time they just told me to have a seat. My SNS just flat out wasn't good, very uneven painting at the nail beds and then my manicurist tried to fix it with a cuticle pusher to scrape off the extra color to make the nail beds smoother but it honestly made it worse bc it made them look grown out already. The one positive is the owner is sweet as can be, he actually did the last coat of clear polish for me as my original manicurist moved on to another customer. He was very friendly and personable and I've heard his work is extraordinary but as for the rest of the staff I just can't say the same. read more

I was trying them out. They were all nice and sweet. A little bit slow for what im use to. I originally want a mani pedi. But i only got a pedi. It took longer than expected so i didnt have time for my mani( really bummned out because i gotta go someplace else tomorrow) but the biggest reason i didnt give them a higher rating because the guy doing my toes kept couging all over my toes with out a mask on. Last time I left here with a crooked toe nail. Which should have been a sign not to come back! But me being me I completely forgot until I walked in. This time was just about as great as the last. I asked the guy doing my pedicure what he said and he ignored me,had an attitude, and spoke in Vietnamese under his breath. I asked him not to apply anymore coats of polish and he ignored me again! There were way too many coats! Maybe it's just me, but I like someone to be a professional. At this point I asked him to just not complete the pedicure, charge me for a clean up, gel polish change. Today I got my nails professionally done for the first time. After years of doing my own nails as a hobby, I was quite pleased with the experience. I was a walk-in customer and was promptly greeted by the 3 technicians on duty. I was sat down nearly as soon as I walked in. Wanting to keep my natural long nails, I opted in for a basic manicure with gel polish. After taking a few minutes sorting through the various colors they had (ranging from neons, naturals, glitters, chromes, etc.) I selected a silver holo glitter. My tech, Katherine, sat down with me and examined her canvas. She was very impressed how long and nice they looked, apart from the issues I came to see her for. Now, I haven't been keeping with my hobby lately. So, my cuticles we're terribly outgrown and my free edge was uneven. Not to mention I have a horrible habit of biting the skin around my nails. She noted my nails' natural shape and suggested to keep with their natural shape to enhance their beauty. I agreed and my treatment was underway. We chatted back and forth some. She was quite friendly and very sweet. She worked quick and efficient. She was very gentle with her touch. I experienced no nicks, snips, cuts, no ouchies of any kind! Even on tender sore places where I've bitten at my skin. The male tech working on the woman next to me was very upbeat and happy. You can definitely tell he enjoys what he does. Going into a business it's always a plus to see happy employees. The session lasted about 45mins-1 hour and my manicure ran me $25 not counting tip. (Bring cash for a tip or use the ATM in the shop.) I'll defiantly be popping in occasionally just for the pampering experience. They gained another customer! read more
