Eating is mostly with hands, which was fun, though it took some getting used to, but the injera is set up great for that. I also didn't think the flavor was anything exceptional to justify the price and in fact like the Doro Wot at Abyssinia much more. I also won the TooGoodToGo . On PLNT's IG, they advertised that the special Thai shake would be released on Sunday (February 16). Thank God I didn't make the drive because it was not available to choose from on the app on the day of release. I put a public message on PLNT's IG asking them about this and I left a VM at this local establishment. I did not receive a response from either the rest of the day from about 1130 AM until me writing this review at least. I saw the Thai shake on the app the next day and finally ordered it ahead of time. I kind of wish I ordered 2 because I loved it so much- the flavor and creaminess but that it was surprisingly still vegan. They do a great job with their fish similarly as well and if they still use Mind Blown, I am a big fan of their frozen vegan crab cakes and so are some friends who love seafood in the Outer Banks: I was unable to pick up my TooGoodToGo because the staff said they don't do this anymore: It was frustrating because you have to take the time to win the bid and then I have to make the drive which isn't right there for me. Thank goodness in this case, I was planning to go here regardless. The staff here was friendly despite the hiccups I encountered. All the trouble I had during this food experience reminded me of negative social experiences- particularly the assumption that social coddling is okay. While they aren't the same at all, the hiccups felt comparatively the same. I decided to include this part because it is relevant to the main reason I write reviews- because I enjoy quietly showing off the food I like, earning free access to exclusive events in this manner and as an emotional release for myself. I won't go into detail unless you ask privately because most people reading this don't want the specifics. The irony, is that, I could say the same for the review community I am in now to a degree but the opportunity to experience exclusive events is not something I want to jeopardize for myself if I can help it either. I am thankful for these continued opportunities that I would have never imagined I could ever be a part of. If you can't be truly nice and respectful, just leave people alone because otherwise any aggravation you have to deal with is all on you.
