The food is okay and the staff is the same. We have been 4 times, thinking "maybe we just came on an off night" but each time the service has been super slow and not accurate. I ordered a glass of house red and I got sangria. I sent it back but got sangria again. My boyfriend ordered a Coors Light and got a Budweiser and then a Miller light. The boy who brought our food out (not our server) was amazing. He checked on us and refilled our sauces. This place isn't horrid but it wouldn't be my first pick. read more

We stopped in this bar for drinks after dinner while in town on business. They want to create a fun place for college kids. And I mean kids. There were three girls vocally telling people (including the staff) that they were 19 and 20 years old. That didn't stop them from selling them wine by the bottle for $10. The sushi is overpriced. The specialty rolls were very small for how much they cost. Typically rolls that expensive are filling and hardly fit in your mouth! The host wasn't very welcoming. Our server wasn't very helpful. The chef stopped by our table to check on us- tall guy, super charismatic! Loved him. He was the only good thing about the place. Great place to chill! We stopped in after dinner across the street. The first floor is a full restaurant and the second and third floors are a bar. We hung on the second floor and played all the games. They have shuffleboard, a giant connect 4, Super Nintendo (very fun and brought back some memories) and more. After a while we went to the third floor-rooftop area. It was really nice up there. There are plenty of outdoor couches and chairs to sit back and relax in. The area overlooks the "square" and is good for people watching. read more

I recently relocated to this area from Florida and since it's a small town, I often find it difficult to find places to have good drinks and food after work in a fun atmosphere. This is honestly my favorite bar/restaurant on the Square in Carrollton. I frequently come here and every time I do, I'm greeted with smiles and "hellos" from the hosts, bartenders, bar-backs, even the owners. Nama is a very friendly environment and the food is absolutely delicious. It may take a little bit of time, but that's because the food is hand prepared and cooked to perfection. The sushi rolls are beautifully crafted an very delicious. Nama is usually slightly busy when I come in, so my favorite place to sit and eat is at the bar. I've gotten to know the bartenders pretty well just from being there so often, so they make me feel like family. read more

Appetizer came out lightning fast and were very good. The main dishes took 45 min. To over an hour to come out. Good with good portions for the price but nothing to write home about. Terrible terrible terrible experience. We went after dinner for a few drinks and had to beg for service from the so called bartenders... Bartenders were very very young and clearly inexperienced/ over-whelmed. Overall terrible experience. Would be a very nice place if the staff handle their customers LOL. We came to NAMA for a Christmas party with our friends! Both of our servers were really nice and attentive to us. I tried a seasonal mule with cranberries and it was so good! For dinner I got some sushi and hibachi! All of our food came out together and quick and was very yummy!! I definitely recommend this place, we had so much fun! read more

I've visited here twice now both times we sat on the roof. Good music and it's very pretty at night with the lights. Both times we have loved the food and the drinks. I would have given them more stars if the wait staff were more experienced. I realize it's a new restaurant and so are they so I wont hit them to hard. I'm pretty sure all their food is frozen packaged food just heated up. We tried the tokyo fries, sesame chicken, pad Thai, and shrimp bowl. None seemed freshly prepared. They do seem to add a lot of salt to everything (and I mean everything). We're not a pretentious group by any means... but for a place called Nama, we expected a bit more class and higher quality. The wait staff were wearing cutoff jean shorts, which would be fine if this were a bbq joint. The booth tables are a foot shorter than the seats, which should have been our first clue that they skimp on quality here. Nice people, the quantity of food was good for the price but quality sucks. read more

Been here quite a few times. We normally have dinner in the dining room and then go to the bar to play shuffle board after. we normal get a few sushi rolls, we try to switch it up everytime. my favorite is the go west roll!! Their new cocktail menu is amazing, they have so much to choose from my favorite is the sake to me ( a must try). They also have really good hibachi and their portions are very generous for what you pay! overall this is a great spot for a date or even if you have a family with all the games upstairs!! excited for this summer so we can checkout their rooftop! read more

Nama was great when it first opened, but my opinion has quickly changed. My friends and I went out for drinks to celebrate my engagement. We asked the bartender if they could still make a Sake to Me fishbowl. The bartenders agreed and one looked it up on the system and said it would be $16. After making the drinks (which were half Sprite), the other bartender ran our cards and charged us $25 for each drink!! We told the bartender that ran our cards that the other one claimed it would only be $16, but she claimed that was a special price for a different day and refused to make it right. The drinks were poorly made and did not even give us a buzz unlike the $2 lucky punch from Applebee's. Nama might have good food, but the bar is below average and way overpriced. read more

Ok- I can be a pretty tough review. This place is hands down the best sushi quality in Carrollton. Excellent presentation and ingredients. Place looks nice. Good vibe. Thai noodles were excellent. They need to add Påk ke Mao! Only suggestion is add a weekly special or two and select music for everyone. Music most of the time was for 20 something's. Need a good mix of classics that everybody knows. Mix it up more. All in all very good. I will keep coming if this experience is consistent. read more

Wow! This place is delicious! I walked In and was immediately greeted by a welcoming host! The environment is very nice. The food is great, I highly recommend the Nama roll and the Go West roll! I have been twice, once for lunch and once now for dinner, and I will not return. The service was slow and lacked refinement and none of the servers or hostesses had their long hair pulled back, which is unsanitary. The sushi roll was the size of a quarter and topped with the most miserly slivers of avocado and fish. I have had better, fresher portions and better presentation from Kroger's. The pad thai was sticky and overcooked with pieces of dry chicken within. It was also unappetizing on the plate. We ate it because we were hungry enough, and, but for the price, it was what I would expect at an average mall food court. They also had no miso soup which our server suggested was because people didn't like it, which is ridiculous for an item so ubiquitous to a sushi restaurant, especially when it is so easy to prepare fresh and is relatively cheap. I had an edible portion of vaguely mushroom/onion flavored hot water instead, which was at best forgettable. The only thing this place has going for it is a roof top bar and a good location, but there's really nothing else to recommend going. read more
