I brought my sister with me for the first time, but I didn't love how my eyebrows turned out, so I wasn't planning to tip. When it was time to pay, I was charged $17.54 and was never given an option to select a tip. I was confused but paid anyway. My sister got the same service and was only charged $12.99, so I asked why mine was $17.54. She went through the transactions on her machine and said it was the tip. I told her I was never given the option to even select a tip. Then, in front of my sister, she said, "Yeah, I was confused too because you never tip." I was a little taken aback. Not only was that a very unprofessional comment to make in front of another customer, but I was also somewhat offended because I tip nearly every time I visit. I would have gotten over being accidentally overcharged this time, but being told that I "never tip" as a longtime customer left a sour taste in my mouth and made me never want to come back. I don't see how I could maintain a good relationship with this business after hearing something like that.

When I got back, I was late for the appointment but they didn't sweat me, since they just got done with the previous customer and needed to set up the station. When my stylist was ready, she was very sweet and really took care of me to make sure I get the cut and style I requested. The vibe of the salon was very personable and easy going. I really enjoyed the time care she put in to working. When she completed my hair, it looked exactly as I wanted. I also noticed she seemed very reluctant to assist with the placement of my finger during the threading, almost as if she found it unpleasant to touch me or to spend more time explaining to me. I've never experienced this before. In the end, we just let my finger be in imperfect positions while she threaded carelessly. The threading itself felt extremely rushed and turned out uneven. I didn't say anything at the time because I just wanted to get out of there--she made me so uncomfortable that I felt my whole body tense up.
