It's a no for me. First off my mani and pedi both look like shit. My friend was nice enough to take me, to what I thought, would be a nice salon to get pampered for my birthday tomorrow. I was rudely mistaken. Although my technician seemed very attentive and kind, she was not well trained and the manager had to step in to finish her job. Secondly, this manager last kept playing around with the charges of how much everything was. $10 for a mani but $15 extra for gel ? like come on. Secondly the decor is trash. The walls are half painted. There's no waiting area. Like nothing about this place said 'Namaste' or 'Spa'. Lastly even trying to pay with my debit card, they insisted that I go next door to an ATM. Don't come here. It isn't worth it.

I should have gotten up from the beginning. I used to go here years ago for mani/pedi. This time around, I went for a gel manicure. I already had gel from another salon and their removal process was so rough with a electrical tool that pieces of my actual nail was being scraped off. Then I asked the owner to cut three nails down to match the ones that had broken and she ended up cutting all of my nails super short. And the filing and cuticle removing process was a horrible. She was doing it without actually paying proper attention so my nails aren't squared and my cuticles were bleeding. This is the most sloppiest application of gel I've ever gotten because she was rushing, meanwhile there was no one waiting. Never going there again. Should've just made the trip to my regular salon instead.

WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. Worst gel manicure I've ever had, and one of the worst pedicures I've ever had. Pedicure: I have scratches on the back of my ankles from him scrubbing, none of my nails were cut, and it's already chipped and it's only been 2 days!!! Gel manicure: Right off the bat, I knew it was gonna be bad. THEY DON'T USE PH BOND WHICH IS ESSENTIAL FOR A GEL MANICURE TO LAST. So I told him "can I just switch to regular polish because I know this is going to last a day." And after me asking several times, a lady came over and took over, even though I said I still wanted to switch. So after they wouldn't let me switch, I said "I'll be back tomorrow, because I know for a fact this isn't going to stay." Sure enough, the gel peeled right off with absolutely no effort at all, so I went back the next day because it was $25, which isn't very cheap, and a girl redid it with regular polish this time, it still wasn't a great polish, and it's already chipping and this was yesterday. I asked them if I could get my eyebrows done since I payed for a gel manicure, and didn't get one, so that's why they're getting 2 stars and not one, because that and they said I could come back in for another free manicure. So at least they tried a little. BUT DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Not only were these terrible services, but the place is disgusting, and they have no polish selection. I hate writing bad reviews, but people need to know not to go here. It's not even cheap. $53 for a gel manicure and a pedicure with a 10 minute foot massage.

I hate writing bad reviews but I have too. After not being able to go to my favorite nail salon I came across this one and I really wish I just went into any other to be completely honest. After just one week of getting my nails done with acrylic it fell off because it wasn't properly glued on. So I had to come back and get them re done and the lady who did them did my nails so ugly, the nails didn't fit my size, too much gel and to make it worst she cut me the side of my nail to the point it wouldn't stop bleeding. She didn't even apologized. They're over priced for the service they provide and their massages are not good. They're too rough.

I've been here before and they just got new massage salon chairs. They use new tools that they open in front of you (I never trusted the blue light reusables) but if you want your own callus sponge you should bring it. Great price and the service was quick, the woman that tended to me was very professional and didn't talk much but I didn't mind because I just wanted to relax anyway.I did the gel pedicure, this is my 2nd time and it lasted more than a month.

I've previously rated this place 5 stars for eyebrow threading, regular mani pedi, and strong massages. I got a gel manicure on Sunday and was reminded of what happened when I got my first gel mani from them. Posting a picture showing the cuticles, this $25 mani is going to grow out looking terrible. This happened the first time I got a gel mani but I was in Vietnam for two weeks and didn't follow up with photos. On vacation I ended up trying to trim the grown out cuticle area after one week.

I got the basic gel manicure and regular pedicure, and it came out to $98 before tax + tip. I got my nails done with Jasmin, and she did a great job perfectly shaping my nails + painting. Also was so impressed with my pedicure (not pictured), as my feet were in terrible condition and they look soooo good now! It's been a week and my nails haven't chipped at all. Sometimes when I go to nail salons the paint job is a little messy, and when I do light colors I'm worried about it being streaky or uneven, but this place was really great about meticulously painting, and it looks great! They also give you a little moisturizer and hand/foot massage with the standard mani/pedi which was a nice touch. Everyone there was super nice and I like that there was a cafe attached where you could get something to sip on or eat while you waited. All in all, would definitely recommend, really high quality service and good value IMO, will be coming back soon!

When I approached, I was asked about my dialysis, and she stated she was unable to serve me due to my disability. I asked if there was any way to schedule help, but she looked at me and said, "No, there is no one here to help you." I scanned the room and saw multiple nail techs sitting and waiting. When I asked to speak to a manager--as she had been on her phone during our entire conversation--she laughed and stated, "I am the owner." I have never been more disrespected. Refusing service based on race and disability is illegal and completely unacceptable. Avoid this business.

When googling around I saw they had this service listed on their website. I just recently moved to a building two blocks over so I stopped by to make an appointment to have them removed. Everything after that was chaos. They had no idea what I was asking for and treated me like I was doing something shady or weird, when it's a listed service on their website with a price and everything. Halfway through the service, they asked if I also wanted a manicure. I repeated what I told the woman at the front desk: my nails beneath the extensions are too weak and damaged from all the fill ins so I want to let them grow out a bit, but I wanted to have them filed / trimmed / shaped etc once the extensions were off so the would at least look clean. They told me this would cost extra. I gave them some side eye because that should be part of the price but told them that was fine. At the end of the service, the woman told me I was done and could go. I was shocked. My nails were a mess. Not trimmed, not neat, with edges literally cracking and hanging off. They didn't charge me for the clean up service, but I couldn't believe they were going to send me on my way with nails looking how they did, super damaged and ugly. I went home to finish the job myself. Additionally, they treated every other customer who came in way different. Other girls were offered little stools to put their bags on while mine was put on the floor right next to old nail clippings etc. Even if it wasn't for the terrible service, I wouldnt go back for the poor treatment alone. I was treated so strangely for asking for a service that they say, per their website, they offer. Luckily, primp and polish is only a few blocks away. I've been going there ever since. The space is clean and bright, the staff are friendly, and the prices are comparable. I will never return to nail of the day.

It just been many misses the past months. I got this time a gel acrylic tip. I asked for short almond with a yellow French tip design. Everything was just so rushed and unorganized. They had so many people come in and they want to attend all but it's only three females working and all shuffling around each other. Literally all three woman did different things to partake in doing my nails and still they came out so bad. I'm not one to complain because I just feel so uncomfortable having to do so but even if I did I couldn't because they had already started working on 5 other people they said yes to while only being 3 workers working ! So I would've needed to wait even longer to get them fixed. My thumbs were two different shapes. And my nails just looked so bad they shaped them in like 4 minutes all my 10 fingers which I feel takes time but they didn't bc they all rushing and just taking on more than they can so my nails were all just not shaped or buffed out and smoothed out at all. Making the shape look so bad from the sides as you can see. And then the paint job was awful! It was so bulky and looking like waves on my nails which you can see in the pictures and especially on the sides how bad it all looks. I left so sad and defeated because I paid $60 for this job and left a tip to make it $70! Just to come home and remove it all. Then the past months I get a gel manicure on my nails very simple manicure of just gel and they start chipping within 5 days never did it use to do that but three times I've gone and that's what I ended up with so it's time for me to just not come here anymore they gone so downhill

As of December 2024:…read more I've been a client of theirs for almost 2 years now and adore their weekday deals and services! Honestly I don't have a go-to manicurist because, in my opinion, the ladies who have served me (usually) did an excellent job- minus some accidental hiccups. Overall, the employees are professional, can read the room, and do a nice job. The price is reasonable for the location (especially) with the weekday specials. The music is excellent as they play a playlist of lofi hits. Most of the clients also keep to themselves whenever I visit so the ambience is peaceful, especially for those who need a rest from NYC's busy life. The color variety and quality brands they curate are excellent too so there will be a color you can find even if the one that you initially wanted is discounted (I'm looking at you silver!!!). There are no fancy tricked out pedi chairs but I still felt comfortable and pampered. I went in after seeing all the great reviews since I was in the area and the receptionist told me it would be a 1/2 hour wait for a mani pedi. No problem. Because it's small and they seem to have a loyal customer following I had no problem waiting a bit instead of trying a few of the nearby places. I loved the huge variety of colors and brands, and especially that they carry Zoya polishes which are some of my favorites (they tend to apply very well and last), but you don't see them in salons very often. I got a really thorough but efficient basic mani-pedi. I was amazed at how quickly she worked and both my fingers and toes looked gorgeous after. Especially since my fingers had a pastel pistachio color that can sometimes apply streakily in the wrong hands. But nope, I got a flawless application. I stayed a bit longer to do an extra drying cycle because I didn't want to mess up the beautiful work I just had done. I'm giving it 3 stars because after only two days both the polish on my fingers and toes started chipping within 2 days. For fingers it's not that unexpected, even though I wasn't very active during that time. I was really surprised the toenail polish began chipping, since I've had good pedis that last 10-14 days unblemished and even longer and I thought the one I got at Freckle would be in the longer-lasting category. If I'm in the neighborhood I might try Freckle again because I walked out feeling great and my nails did look incredible from the start. It was just really disappointing that it lasted barely 48 hours.
