A screen printer flashes shirts before screen printing to keep the dark fibers of the shirt from showing through the ink. When I went to ask Tammy for a refund, Tammy said her shirts look that way because I brought her shirts that were 50% cotton/50 Polyester blend instead of 100% cotton. Having 100 % cotton shirts does not have anything to do with how a screen print job comes out. I told her what type of shirts I buy and she never said anything. "Well, I didn't know that you didn't know that!" If you see the shirts in person you could easily see that the quality of the printing was inconsistent. She even used 2 different shades of red. I told her that the "P" was cut off on my "Pice Be Steel" Shirt. According to her no one would notice. It looks like trash. The ink is super thick on some shirts, too thin on others... I had to add a band aid to shirts so that I can try to recover some of my money by selling them as defects. I asked her why my name was bleeding together on the sleeves and why it was positioned so high when I showed her what I wanted. She said that that's how it had to come out. She also said that her staff is trained to keep printing shirts even if they don't look right. I swear. She told me that my order was large and they were just trying to get it done. I asked her why she didn't just tell me how many she could make correctly! These weren't shirts for a family reunion, she gave me trash merchandise that I'm now stuck with. She also charged me a rush fee but never told me my shirts were ready. Every time I went to get my shirts no one knew where my paper work was. The box was literally sitting there, but Tammy didn't leave any instructions for my shirts when she went to Vegas for weeks at a time to shoot pool. It took me over a month to get all the trashy looking shirts she made because I happened to catch her there. Next time I will find a print shop that will tell me that they're having a problem with my order. A normal business would be too embarrassed to let these shirts leave out of their shop.

San Bay was the one we selected because of (1) their willingness to use our existing electronic files to create their print patterns and stitch programs, (2) the samples the did for us looked amazing, (3) the prices quoted were very reasonable compared to the local competition, and (4) the speed of delivery was flipping amazing. On the final point, most of the competition was saying a 2-week minimum to obtain the finished goods. San Bay was able to deliver in a week. The final product looks really good, even in the intricate detail areas of our logo. We will be a returning customer.

They sell your basic sewing goods and patterns, and as a design student I've made many a hasty trip here to grab some buttons or boning before they close. I'm surprised the company hasn't opened a bigger store, like the one in Lewisville, here in Denton. We have two universities in town that both have fashion design programs, so I can personally assure them that it would be worth their time. They don't sell much fabric outside of the quilter's cotton prints and polyester/rayon "silky" blends. Please, please do not waste your money on anything that claims to be "silk" or "wool" on the label. These are made with what looks, and feels, like the lowest grade material and can cost 4x as much an Armani silk or Calvin Klein wool at Golden D'Or in Dallas. No, it's not the fabrics that make me appreciate Jo-Ann's. It's the fact that it's right around the corner from me, and when I'm out of fusing or whatever (like I am now) I can make a quick trip and be back to my sewing machine in 15 minutes.

The person working at the store was friendly and welcoming when I came in. When I told her I was just checking stores out she told me to make myself at home and let her know is I have any questions. As I looked around I noticed several artistically made items. From a set of glasses made from Topo-Chico bottles to handmade Chap Stick, this place had a nice variety of items to choose from. I also noticed while I was there that this place offers arts and crafts classes right in the middle of the store. They also keep some items out on the table to entertain children while their parents shop. It was nice and refreshing to find a store like this, and I plan to visit them on future visits!

We stopped by and I bought a Quilt Across Texas kit to make for my son. Before I left for home I reviewed the fabric quantities to confirm that everything was there, which it was. Fast forward 2 1/2 years. I was going over the directions and realized that although the quantities of fabric matched the directions, they were incorrect and I was short yardage for two fabrics. I searched in vain on line for the fabrics. I contacted Jill at Minding My P's and Q's and she went out of her way and actually found the exact same fabrics and shipped them to me up here! Which is good because we don't have much Texas type fabric up here! Excellent customer service, even long distance and years after the sale!!!

I was greeted when I entered, but after that, I walked around the store without anyone offering assistance or engaging with me, while I observed employees interacting with other customers. I don't expect special treatment, but I do expect basic customer service when I'm spending my money. Rather than make an issue of it, I simply left and purchased the scissors from another sewing store where I felt welcomed and was happy to spend my money.
