We stopped by this small restaurant on a quiet afternoon. The waitress was friendly and thoughtful, and her recommendations were tasty and well-portioned.

Nama has re-opened. The hours are 11:30 - 9:30 daily. We will review the fare next time we get a meal here.

Excellent service. Good price & value. This place became my go-to place for sushi in White Rock/South Surrey. We were all so surprised by size of sashimi! So thick and fresh. I really loved their tuna tataki roll, so refreshing and delicious. You have to also try their aburi sushi and oshi sushi. Oh, forgot to mention their salmon carpaccio was something so unique and delicious with that truffle oil!!!

Truly, the only way to leave a sushi plate when the food is this good

Fresh, fast delicious with friendly staff. We had katsu chicken, a crunchy shrimp roll and the Godzilla roll. All exceeded expectations.

The bun was incredibly fresh, light, and pillowy, while the pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender with the perfect balance of richness and tang from the kimchi. The pickled vegetables added a bright crunch that tasted incredibly fresh. We started with the salmon tartare, and it was phenomenal! Rich, buttery, bursting with flavor, and so good we were literally fighting over the last bite. And the scallop? Order one for each person. Seriously. It's far too delicious to share. It had just the right amount of heat, leaving the perfect lingering warmth that immediately made us want another. Do yourself a favor and give yourself enough time to work your way through the menu, because every dish we tried was outstanding. Each plate was thoughtfully curated, beautifully executed, and cooked to perfection. I like to call it the C³ trifecta: curated, created, and cooked. Without question, this is some of the best food we've had in a very long time. We can't wait to come back (when visiting) and continue eating our way through the rest of the menu.

Ambiance was great - super warm and welcoming which was magnified by the host. Super lovely. Then the wait staff. Whoever is hiring/training is doing a great job! Not drinking right now but the cocktail menu was super tempting. Every menu item sounded great. We got some help on ordering from our servers and Tanya picked ones she had enjoyed before. We also sat right beside the pick up window so it was fun seeing food come out! The food was fantastic. See pictures for what we ordered. Not sure if I can remember the names of everything but it was a perfect combo!!

We knew we wanted spring rolls and wontons, so we ordered that when brought water. We decided on the seven flavor beef for the meal to split. The two apps came out quickly. The wontons were SO GOOD. And the spring rolls were well done but nothing special - solid sauce. The beef came out at the perfect time, right after we finished the apps. And Woweee! It is so good! The beef is tender and flavorful with the crispy lettuce underneath and delicious spices. It went well with the rice, which was perfectly cooked average white rice. We had enough beef left to make one more meal with our own rice. We will 100% be back and are so looking forward to the beef, wontons, and perhaps something new!

The ingredients have always been fresh and cooked excellently. The last two times have been disappointing. The service remains fine. But the food has drifted towards bland and mushy, more like grocery store take-out. The Wontons in Chili Oil were as good as always. The Garlicky Chicken, one of my all-time favorites, was bland and lacking crispness. No garlic flavor and lacking any character or wok hei. The Sweet and Sour Tofu lacked proper preparation. The tofu had not been drained, rendering it soggy and almost tasteless and diluting the sauce. The orange chicken was likewise uncharacteristically bland. Not sure what's happened. New chef? I notice that they have gotten much busier---a good thing for them. They charge top-tier prices which I've been happy to pay until now. But I hope the quality of the food reverts back to its prior excellence.

Their menu is really easy to read and understand and they are very friendly and quick. They give you a buzzer you can take with you and go find somewhere to sit which is great. The potstickers also had lots of flavor and was the perfect texture with just the right amount of crisp. The donuts, oh wow. These are amazing! I would come back just for these alone! They were served hot and drizzled with a perfect amount of sweetened condensed milk, they were so good. The setup includes a couple of food trucks and a covered beer garden with seating. We decided to grab our food to go since the weather wasn't cooperating, but everything still tasted amazing back at our hotel. We ordered vegetarian dumplings, vegetarian fried egg rolls, chicken dumplings, pork Chinese buns, and chicken rice noodle soup. Every dish was flavorful and fresh. The soup in particular had a rich, comforting broth with tender chicken, noodles, and cabbage. Portions were generous, prices were reasonable, and service was fast. The woman working the truck was friendly and welcoming, even with the wind and rain coming down. We will definitely be back next time we are in Bellingham. If the weather is better, we will stay and eat in the beer garden. This place is a great find.

MaguroGuy had decent reviews and was not too far off the highway, so we decided to detour there. We overordered (as you can see from photos) but since we're used to things being tiny and unsatisfying, we had no idea what we were getting into. The lunch special is great, and my companion didn't need the extra rolls with it, though they were really tasty. I ordered a smattering of rolls, and was quite full. The fish is good, there are slightly heavier on rice than other places, but at least there was a good variety to choose from. We opted to skip the sashimi platter as it was $80, way higher than anywhere else we normally go. The parking is fine, it's in a lot, and it was daytime but had a decent number of lights. Service was quite friendly, and the ambiance of the restaurant was very cozy, despite it being a decent size. There are a hundred other sushi places in the area to try, but MaguroGuy was a solid experience and I would go back.

The hamachi nigiri was large, with a strange yellow/orange coloring (I have had hamachi hundreds of times and never ever seen it look like this). The texture was mushy, the flavor unlike any hamachi I have had before - a tough one. The salmon oshi was cold and the salmon tasted fishy/old (again, have had this many many places, so it isn't like I am judging against the first time trying oshi). Lastly, the old owner used to have a Banana Crunch Roll that was the bomb. Why this owner didn't learn how to make it and keep it on the menu is a head scratcher. On a positive note, the size of the fish portions were generous.
