I spoke to Melissa who was so sweet and knowledgeable, she asked me a couple questions and was able to get me in right away, I knew I had insurance, but didn't know the name of it she asked who my employer was and she actually knew right away what my plan was ( I work for a large corporation) I then knew I was going to the right place. I came in and saw Dr Steve and also met Dr Mike both were so amazing and helpful, unfortunately I needed a root canal Dr Steve started right away and I was amazed how everything went , completely painless! In past visits, with other dental offices, I've always felt everything they've done in my mouth, but knowing that things had to be done, I just took the pain. Dr. James was patient, and allowed the medication to work properly before he would do any work to my teeth. In my 47 years of living, that's the first time I left a dental office with no pain. Even today, a day later, I feel fine. No pain or sourness. AND the staff... They are all kind, friendly and very accommodating. I'm definitely going to continue to go back!

I've been getting Botox treatment to alleviate my jaw clenching and it has improved dramatically. I didn't even know this was a thing before coming to Dr Kim! They validate parking here too which makes coming for your appt super easy (especially in Ktown!) and they offer an affordable membership for those who don't have group dental plan insurance - a great option for me as a freelancer. Being a member offers you member discount prices off of services. Totally worth it! It's always so peaceful and relaxing here. If you're looking for a new dentist, look no farther!

Update - they replied to my review but still have not sent me my x-ray individual scans…read more ----------------------------- I went in for a routine check up and cleaning. The dentist seemed to be in a rush. As such, it was the fastest cleaning I've ever experienced. She said she found many cavities and suggested filling all of them (which would have been out of my budget). I asked her if there was a way to prioritize certain teeth but she refused to make any adjustments, instead suggesting a payment plan. I probably would have gone through with her plan if it wasn't for her also pushing for teeth whitening and Invisalign even though I never expressed any dissatisfaction with my teeth's alignment and coloration. Pushing extra elective procedures made me uncomfortable and suspicious of the necessity of all these interventions so I got a second opinion from two other dentists that some friends highly recommended. I understand that different dentists have different approaches, but both of the other dentists were shocked to hear that Dr. Kim wanted to drill big holes in my teeth to fill cavities that were too small to even work on. In fact, for over half of the teeth she wanted to fill, the other two dentists said they do NOT recommend me to fill them right now. This was all complicated by the fact that they would not send me clear X-rays to share with the other dentists. I had to go through multiple back and forth emails with the highlight dental studio and though the initial emails were polite, their communication became quite passive aggressive after I stated my wish to get second opinion. They even tried to use parking fees as leverage for my X-rays when it is my legal right to get my own medical record. In fact, I'm still waiting on the individual scans from them and I'll come back to update once/if I get them. I get that they provide small thoughtful services here and there like the weighted blank and stuff, and maybe that's why they got all these 5 star reviews, but the foundation of their care needs to be with focusing on good dental care, without pushing expensive elective procedures and without allowing their personal feelings to dictate their interactions with patients. P.s The only star is for the dental hygienist who was patient with me.

The nurses and staff were also very friendly and helpful. One thing I really appreciated was that I could communicate with the office through KakaoTalk. It made scheduling and asking questions much easier and more convenient. Another great thing about this dental office is that they provide both root canal treatment and crown treatment in one place.
