We have been here many times and for the second time we had a less than good experience however this time crossed a line that warrants a review. There were two main issues; the massage and the charge. The massage was average at best. I was not asked about pressure, never checked in with, and a full body massage should never start with the feet. Skipping the hands is also not acceptable on a full body massage. We were given a gift card for two massages, apparently they raised their prices since our Christmas gift but that was not disclosed we had to logic it out ourselves. We were also up charged for something, we assume deep tissue which we asked about and did not request nor receive, but again we have had to logic this out. The tip was not negotiable and 20% was added at time of checkout. We were a couple not a large party and nowhere does it state this will happen. We anticipated tipping but ended up spending out of pocket nearly the cost of a full massage when we were gifted an experience here. Unfortunately this was not an experience we enjoyed. We've let our gifter know so they do not spend any additional money here and we will also look elsewhere for services. Worth noting that their recent remodel has left the lobby feeling cold. You are no longer brought back to a calming lounge area but seated in chairs near the door in a barren space. Client retrieval was a chaotic mess and checkout took several minutes as it was unorganized and messy with check ins and scheduling. They are no longer organized nor properly staffed. read more

We were staying nearby and booked here a few weeks out. My experience was meh, my friend loved Francesca and her treatment. We both had a 90 minute treatment for $175 which we thought was fair and included a foot therapy for 30 minutes and a 1 hour massage. The two ladies at the front desk were not friendly at all. It was as if we bothered them. My provider was too chatty and I told her which she did not like, she was quiet for massage. She asked about pressure and any need areas. Pressure was fine, need areas ignored. She spent a good 20-30 minutes on my neck which I said was NOT a need area. I woke up today with a tender neck. I went to Namti Spa regularly for pedicures with several different people. In mid February I noticed a split in the middle of my big toe. I filed it down and thought I had eliminated the problem. However, on closer examination I saw that my big toenails had been filed to the extent that both had major fissures down the center and were splitting in half. I went to a different nail salon and had those two nails coated with acrylic to protect them. I no longer will let anyone do my nail prep. Yesterday I called Namti to schedule a polish "change" but they do not provide that service. When I explained what had happened and why I do not want anyone doing my nail prep the woman who answered the phone said, "Well, I'm sorry you had that experience but we will not do nail polish alone. You have to pay for the entire spa pedicure." read more

Worse massage I've ever had in my life! Please read if you are planning to make an appt for a party of 3 or more and if you are not a local. I get massages almost every month, and since I was on vacation, I wanted to book a massage. Unfortunately, the resort we were staying at was booked and couldn't accommodate me and my 3 friends. So we did a search and found Namti. They boast that this is the place where locals go, so I figured, it must be good. Boy was I wrong. I am tempted to write the name of my massage therapist, but don't want to jeopardize anyone's livelihood. Plus, she was a nice woman, just someone who is in the wrong profession. My massage felt more like someone was rubbing me with oil for an hour. I told her I had a lot of tension in my neck and shoulder and even upgraded to a stone massage. She stroked the stone across my body, but didn't really do any massaging. I was still waiting for her to work on my neck and shoulders and then suddenly, she asked me to turn over. I thought, ok..maybe she'll work on my pain points while I'm on my back. NOPE!! For the rest of the time, she simply kept my neck raised and turned my neck from side to side a few times. Didn't even massage it once and then it was over. She left to ring the gong and said ok, you're all done! I was in complete shock!! I compared notes with my 3 friends and 2 of them had a very similar experience with their massage therapist. On top of that, they automatically charge 20% tip for groups of 3 or more and the 2 women at the front desk where not very friendly. When we went to pay, I told them they sent me a 20% discount and gave them the promo code. They both looked at each other like they weren't happy about that and rung us up without even thanking us for our business. My friend noticed that right away and even said, wow...they didn't look happy that we didn't pay full price. We were even complaining to our Uber driver about it and he said that there are so many spas in Sedona, he mentioned, The Wilde Spa, is one he drops/pick-up customers from a lot. I booked a 90-minute Somatic Emotional Release session with Daniela. What an incredible experience! I wasn't sure what to expect, but Daniela gently explained the process before we began. She also asked great questions about what I needed for the experience and what my expectations were. I felt heard and cared for every step of the way. To be clear, this has some elements of massage, but it is altogether different and more emotionally intense. This was a very emotional and moving experience, one I was ready for in my healing journey. It was a little heavy at times, so I don't recommend jumping into it lightly. Went with my friend for a girls trip. We did the Healing Boost 90 minutes massage. Worst massage I've ever had. It was more a lotion rub down with absolutely zero healing aspect at all. Nothing was said other then, "think of what I would want". Hardly any massage techniques were used and I left feeling like I didn't even get worked on. Completely underwhelming for both my friend and I. We stood in the waiting room with no one to attend us or check us in for over 10 minutes before. I would go somewhere else. Not very spa like. I've visited this spot four times now and have been pretty lucky with all of my masseuses. They've all been very professional, very kind, and always focused on how they could improve my massage. There's very little conversation during the sessions, which is a huge plus for me since I'm there to relax. This last visit, I also had a facial (unfortunately, I can't remember the facialist's name to save my life!), but she was absolutely incredible. She performed a facial that immediately reduced redness, and I could see the results right away. She mentioned the results would last about two weeks -- and I have to say, I'm absolutely obsessed. The staff overall is very professional, and the atmosphere is super calming. I do wish they had a full day spa experience with a pool or lounge area to relax in afterward -- that would be amazing. Overall, the services I've tried here have been fantastic. As they say, they offer the best value in Sedona, and I feel their pricing is much more reasonable compared to other places. I tried this massage place while visiting Sedona. You can't get the same day appointment. I got the appointment a couple of days later and I booked their 90 minutes massage. It's $109 (not including the $30 gratuity) for a 90 minutes massage. This place is very busy yet clean. Here are a couple of things I didn't like- the therapist didn't bother asking me what kind of pressure I liked or needed so she ended up giving me a gentle soft Swedish massage instead of my usual deep tissue that I prefer. Then another thing I didn't like was that the meditation music was a little too loud in the room and the lights weren't dimmed either. So I can't say she set the mood right. She had all the lights on while she worked on my back. I would have liked the room to be darker instead of having all the lights on. Overall, the massage was good but it wasn't the best I ever had. This was the only place that was able to accommodate me. All other massage places were booked and not available for weeks ahead. So keep that in mind when you are visiting Sedona - make reservations early. read more

My 90 minute massage turned into an 80 minute massage by no fault of the masseuse.  I arrived 20 minutes early for my appointment, but there was no receptionist, and the girl serving a client told me to wait.  Little did I know they have two buildings!  One nail salon/foot scrub and another building for massages.  Why in the world didn't the girl say something when I said I had a massage appointment instead of having me WAIT? This is a no frills service center.  I wouldn't quite call it a spa except they offer a regiment of services.  There is no lounge area or spa per se in the sense of steam rooms or jacuzzis etc.  I don't have a problem with that so much as they should have a check-in receptionists at BOTH locations.  Also scheduling is a bit tricky especially if you want a package. read more

I chose BMR because I'd been experiencing some pains that I was convinced were traumas I wasn't able to let go of on my own and I was paired with Trixie. Let. Me. Tell. You! Trixie opened my world. Her knowledge of the anatomy, how the body works and her ability to truly connect is a gift. I have never enjoyed bodywork so much in my entire life. If you or anyone you know needs a release, she is your girl. I can't wait to get another session with her next time I'm in town. I came up to Sedona from Phoenix for the day. I booked online and randomly chose Lori because I have been needing a massage and haven't been able to get one in Phoenix. This was my first time visiting Namti. Lori was amazing and it was one of the best massages I have gotten. I was super tense because of my desk job and not being able to get a massage because of COVID but Lori really tried to work all my knots out. The massages are super affordable and I will definitely rebook with Lori when in Sedona. There are two locations named Namti so make sure you type in the actual address and not just the spa name. I got lost on my way but it was my fault for not typing in the Tortilla Dr address manually into my phone. Thank you Lori for being so accommodating and relieving some of my back pain. read more

Poor service by one of the managers. I came with a group to get a service (90 min with Daniela). I was so looking forward to a massage on vacation as it had been a few months. The staff was late to all appts even thought we arrived 10-15 min early. We were fine with that but we expected to have a nice experience even though this place has high traffic and they try to get as many people in and out. My friends for great services and the full allotted time they paid for. I shouldn't have had to pay for 90 min when I was given 65/70 minutes max. I called to see if a manager would assist with the issue, she did return my call and then didn't provide any form of an apology as if this is a common practice and nothing was done to make a customer happy.
