For the matcha, my friend ordered the brown sugar matcha latte and I ordered the matcha cream latte. I liked her brown sugar matcha latte more than my matcha cream latte. My husband and I love trying new restaurants, whether it's for food or dessert, and we're so glad we gave this place a try! The restaurant was very clean, organized, and had a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Since it was our first visit, we asked one of the staff members for her recommendations and what their best-selling desserts were. We ordered exactly what she suggested, and we were so impressed! The desserts were absolutely delicious not overly sweet, just perfectly balanced with amazing flavors. We'll definitely be coming back to try more of their desserts and other flavors. Yo I love Nana green tea! Been to the one in Seattle, a few in Japan, Sydney and NYC and this LV location has been the only one I've come across so far that has savory food to pair with your matcha! You can get sandwiches, rice plates with, tonkatsu and chicken katsu and sukiyaki. Miso soup and salads and much more. But if you want sweet they have soft serve, parfaits and frappes to satisfy your sweet tooth! My friend and I came here for breakfast and I wanted something not too heavy so I went with a Hojicha float with vanilla soft serve and their shrimp avocado sando. I usually just get the Hojicha parfait with mochi but it was kinda too early for that. My friend ordered a matcha latte with the sukiyaki don with soup. My Hojicha float was loaded with vanilla soft serve and the regular size was pretty big. The soft serve was smooth and creamy and paired well with the Hojicha latte. Couldn't go wrong with that, but I felt guilty for having something sweet like that in the morning lol. The shrimp sandwich wasn't that good for the price they were charging. It was almost $10. The avocado spread didn't taste fresh and was browning and the shrimp was mainly on top of sandwich. I should've ordered a more savory bowl instead bc damn! That sandwich was disappointing. My friend enjoyed her order of the matcha latte with the sukiyaki don. She had mentioned it's her go-to order, since she's a LV local. I wish I had more time in Vegas to order a parfait here but we had so many other places to hit on my short visit. The cheesecake had a very dense texture and it didn't taste good. The way the cake dissipated in the mouth didn't leave the best aftertaste either. My girlfriend is an avid fan of parfaits so I knew I needed to get her opinion of the ones here. We came here at around 1:30 pm on a Saturday and were surprised to see how busy it was. There was a lot of parking in the shared plaza. It has a large interior but was crowded with people eating meals, enjoying a parfait, or studying. WiFi is available on the receipt. After much debate, we got the Hojicha Warabimochi Parfait. As expected, there were a lot of elements to it. Some of the items paired well with each other while others were not our favorite. There were a combination of red bean, Hojicha jelly, Hojicha ice cream, corn flakes, and a large ice cream base. We particularly liked the Hojicha flavoring and wished they had that as the main base versus vanilla. Red bean and corn flakes were a nice touch. The Warabimochi itself was something we weren't a fan of and wondered how the regular mochi would be. Overall, it was not too sweet and an enjoyable option. After dining nearby, we decided to try this new eatery for dessert to see what it is all about. The highlight is their soft serve ice creams and parfaits, but they also have savory foods and meals such as chicken katsu and more. The interior is large with a lot of seating, and there were a lot of people inside eating and socializing. The staff were quite friendly, and I decided to try the Hoji Cha parfait. It took a very long time for it to be prepared - at least 15 minutes. When it's finished, the staff bring it to your table. It features different flavors of soft serve including black tea flavor as well as red bean paste and coffee jelly. The flavors were quite nice, and it is not overly sweet which is classic for Asian desserts. The texture of the ice cream, however - very runny. I understand soft serve should be soft. This, however, was nearly melted. I would've liked a bit firmer texture to the ice cream. It was light and refreshing, however, so I would be willing to visit again and try it again! read more

A few hours ago, in a plaza not so far away... Episode MDCCLXVII: NANA'S GREEN TEA It is a period of exploration. YELPERS, visiting from all over town, have recommended this tea and food spot with a 4.2 average rating. One YELP ELITE has learned of a weekday SET MENU for a $2 beverage with the purchase of an entree. Deciding that it was worth the drive, he made his way over from Henderson. The TONKATSU RICE PLATE ($16.95) was underwhelming. The katsu was tender, but quickly became rubbery. It was also bland, and the katsu sauce was not enough to make up for the lack of flavor. The slaw had zero dressing. The accompanying miso soup tasted more dilute than the same item recently experienced at a local, beloved sushi restaurant. The PORK KATSU CURRY ($17.50) suffered from the same inherent lack of quality in the cutlet. The curry and the pickles did add more flavor but did not improve the food enough to make it satisfying to a still-hungry stomach. The HOT MATCHA GREEN TEA ($5.00 regular size normally) betrayed a corresponding lack of quality product. The bitterness was far too high for this application. They used the same powdered tea in the MATCHA LATTE ($6.75 regular size normally), but at least that drink had sugar to help balance out the flavor enough. Despite the pleasant jazzy Japanese music and clean, quiet atmosphere, Nana's Green Tea is not worth visiting. Make trips to any katsu-specialty restaurants and/or any of multiple better matcha spots if you are craving both or either of those. read more

If you're craving matcha or matcha desserts, this is the place to get some. Very reminiscent of matcha maiko or maruwu seicha and similar shops, although this has the largest selection of matcha dessert/drinks I've see in those kinds of shops. I got the matcha soda w/ soft serve which was delicious. It was $1.50 to make it a matcha soft serve though, and I kind of wish it was a yuzu soda instead of just a sparkling water essentially. I'd definitely try some of their other drinks though, and the matcha flavor here is strong and best I've had in the area. Decent seating and number of tables. After having Nana's bookmarked for quite some time, I was super excited that my husband surprised me by taking me here for a little afternoon date today. Upon walking in, we were greeted by Frankie (I hope I spelled her name correctly). She was incredibly friendly and helped me choose between the 2 drinks I was hemming and hawing over. She's also the one that makes the croissants available - which are delicious btw. She also dropped a new (to me) fun fact when we were chatting about being lactose intolerant haha. For our afternoon treats, with Frankie's input, I ordered the Matcha Soft Served Latte w/ Chocolate Crunch (with oat milk to lessen the amount of dairy) in the regular size. The portion was massive and it was incredibly delicious. After taking a few bites of the soft serve on top, I mixed it all together and it was just so creamy with the vibrancy & umami flavors of matcha coming through nicely - the little bits of crunchy chocolate also worked so well in this drink. I also did have a Matcha Croissant which is filled with a matcha cream that's light & airy. Absolutely zero complaints about what I chose. Very enjoyable! My husband doesn't like matcha, so he opted for the Hojicha Float w/ Mochi and the Hojicha Cream Roll. Both were very good. He especially loved the big mochi balls in his drink and the dense center of the Hojicha Cream Roll. He was quite happy with what he chose too. Aside from the fantastic menu and quality drinks/pastries, this space was also beautifully decorated. We loved how much seating was available! Chairs were very comfortable and we noticed the booths all had ample outlet plugs, making this a great place to come work or study for a few hours. There are also two gender neutral restrooms on site which were nicely decorated and perfectly clean. My only (extremely minor) complaint is that I wish they had a self-serve water area. Perhaps there was one and I just didn't see it, but that would be a lovely addition. I will definitely be back again with my husband, friends, and maybe even by myself to get some work done! I've visited Nana's Green Tea many times in Japan, so I was really excited to see one finally open in Las Vegas. It brought back a lot of good memories. Since it's a chain, the quality is very consistent with what I experienced in Japan. I've come here twice so far, and both visits were great. The staff always greet you with a smile at the register, and the shop is very clean and well kept. My go-to order is the parfait with matcha soft serve. The matcha flavor is rich and authentic, not overly sweet, which is exactly how I remember it from Japan. You can really taste the quality of the matcha. I did try to order their matcha tea once, but they had run out. The staff explained that the matcha is shipped directly from Japan, so sometimes they can't keep up with demand. Overall, I'm really happy this place came to Vegas. Hopefully they continue to do well and open more locations in the city. I heard this is the first one in Las Vegas and that they may open one in New York in the future. I am Looking forward to coming back many more times. read more

What is an absolute must after way, way spicier than you thought it was going to be tonkotsu ramen from Ramen Kobo and now your mouth is still kinda on fire and are sweating a little but you don't wanna look like you can't handle the heat because your family said you couldn't? The first couple sips provided some needed relief from the spicy onslaught I was experiencing, but afterwards, the sheer delight of the drink shone through. Matcha - good flavor. has a little grit to it (nothing says authentic matcha than a little grit). and little bit of a bite (nothing says authentic matcha than a little bite). Couple that matcha with their soft serve and not only does the natural sweetness of the matcha accentuated but that little bit of grit and bite are further nuanced and what's leftover is a cool, velvety smooth matcha drink that can cool down the spiciest of spices.
