Hapag Ihaw-Ihaw is dishing up classic Filipino comfort food. From Lumpiang Shanghai to a sizzling…read moreSisig, Crispy Pata and Halo Halo. They even make their own sauces that are bottled and you can bring home. They seemed to be set up for take out and catering. But they do have seating for about 20-25 people. We ordered: BBQ Pork Combo meal $10.50 Chicken Inasal Combo meal $10.50 both with Garlic - Annatto Rice +$.75 each and we added pork spring rolls $4 The combo meals are tasty and filling. With a slight char on the BBQ pork which is what I enjoy when having skewers. Honestly the garlic- annato rice wasn't really worth it. I personally couldn't taste it over the sauce on either the BBQ pork or the chicken Inasal. And would have been happy with just regular rice. The lumpiang was meaty and everything I look for in a crispy spring roll. The dessert options area also great. Not sure if its seasonal but they had a slice of coconut (buko) pie in their fridge. Whole buko pie need to be per-ordered and picked up on the weekend. They also have leche flan and ube cheesecake for a sweet treat. Over all a great comforting small business with friendly staff and a meal under $12. How can you go wrong? Give Hapag Ihaw-Ihaw a try if you're in the area.

That means in order to get anything, you must wave down the waiter. The food is also very mediocre in terms taste. To make matters worse, the quantity of food is not filling either. Finally, many of their entrees do not come with rice. Therefore, they nickel and dime you from the individual orders of rice that you have to make to go along with the entrees. Only street parking is available for this establishment so be prepared to circuit around the neighborhood several times before finding a spot.

It's been sometime since someone had wrote a review about Jempoy's Lechon . To give most places an…read morehonest review I believe that people should actually visit the restaurant location and not just judge them via a food delivery experience. So here's my two bits. Staff are very friendly. The space has quite a few long tables. They even have a patio area for when it's nice out. So it's great if you have a large party of six or more. Once we decided to sit in, we were quickly given time to peruse the menu. Of course we had to try the "Cebu style" lechon belly. The combo comes with soup and rice. They also have classics like, adobo, sisig and dinuguan. As well as dessert like cassava cake, halo halo and even mais con yelo. What we ordered: (I didn't take a photo of the menu, so the prices are from the Door Dash website) Combo 1- lechon with java rice $21 Mais Con Yelo $11.95 Even though we only ordered one combo we have greeted with two small bowls of soups. A very clean beef shank/marrow soup. A great way to start the meal. The lechon was okay. The skin wasn't super crispy and the meat was pretty lean so it took a bit of effort to chew through. The flavour was delicious and when you add the sauce and rice it's one of the best combos you can get. I'm not sure if it was because we were eating around 3PM, but I expected a bit more with the lechon. The Mais Con Yelo, a sweet corn dessert with shaved ice, ice cream, milk and caramel syrup. It's a hard to find dessert that I fell in love with while in the Philippines, especially in Vancouver . So it was such a surprise to see that Jempoy's had it. It's not then best I've ever had, but so far it's the best in BC. So congrats on that! Over all a great warm experience with some comfort foods and rarely seen desserts. I'd come again to try more items. Please check them out if you're in the area. Yelp doesn't seem to have a huge impact over in Victoria. But we do gotta highlight those small businesses that have something special.

I called the restaurant and I asked what happened. The lady was rude that she kept on telling me " it was cancelled", we had no idea. So l asked about refunds. Again she said we do not have your money. Ask skip the dishes. i asked if I can talk to someone to shed light. I was so confused. At this point, she was shouting at me. Telling me "i am busy", "i am busy"!! just call skip! So, I asked for skip's contact number & she told me they do not have it, just "google it". I have been ordering food delivery thru doordash and uber for the last 2 months & have not experienced cancelled orders from different restaurants nor rude personnel. SHAME ON YOU! the lady that took my call.
