Nancy hair salon is located in an office park right off of Peachtree industrial where Medlock Bridge crosses over. It's just two salon chairs in a small lobby with enough seating for around seven people. The couple running the salon are very friendly and personable. In fact, while I was being attended, another customer came in and asked if it would be OK if she went to drop her son off at school and then came back in 30 minutes. They replied that although they were going to be closing in 30 minutes, they would be happy to see her. Directly there after, another customer came in and they knew him by name. Obviously, they like to build a rapport with their customers and enjoy the social side of the salon. It's a very unassuming salon, but "Nancy" did a great job of cutting my hair very quickly and I was a walk-in, so I could've been sitting waiting for a while, but it only took about three minutes before she attended me. I had never been here before, and I have been going to a different salon for about a year and a half now. I'm pretty much going to change salons. The way that they take credit cards, is through a phone app, so there is an up charge if you pay with a card. However, my haircut only cost $11, so with the up charge it was $12. I'm very happy with my cut and I highly recommend Nancy's Hair Salon. I feel for my hair that all it takes for me to look and feel good is to have a clean short cut and this place does the job. They are only two employees, a husband and wife. The husband takes care of customers (mostly female) who want to get their hair curled and customized. The wife handles all the haircuts/trims. They are very kind and can speak multiple languages (English, Mandarin, and Cantonese). They really remember their customers and always y'all to you throughout the whole cut. Great atmosphere and positive vibes. Also they do cuts for both females and males for 11$. That is so good but be aware that they are superb in getting a cut done not some kind of royal makeover/ famous extravagant hair styling. They get the job done and for me looking and feeling simple with a basic cut is all I want. The people here are family and they make me very happy and I always come back every 3.5 months to see them. Be aware that credit cards may or may not work here depending on their internet. They prefer cash and to call in to make an appointment. You can make an appointment same day. This is just so they can prepare for your arrival and ensure you don't have to wait too long. Again thankful for this place and come by and give them (a local business) the support. My family and I have been coming to Nancy Hair Salon on/off since they first opened years ago (back when the prices were $10 for a haircut). Now that they have been in business for a while, they raised their prices "one whole dollar," to $11! Even with that inflation, still an amazing steal of a price for a haircut. This is a mom and pop shop, I definitely recommend giving them a call for an appointment to avoid any wait time. Nancy and her husband are a great duo, they tag team the business: he takes appointments, helps with sweeping, setting customers ready for the cut, while she cuts the hair. They're also really funny, both have great personalities! The husband and wife owners are very nice, and the pricing is extremely cheap! Only 11 dollars for both men and women! As a woman with very thick and long hair, my haircuts are usually 25 and over at other places, but she did a good job for only 11 dollars. Wow, worst hair cut experience ever. The owners are lazy. After the hair cut was done, which took not even 5 minutes, the owners switched role and the male was to "blow dry" the hair. He did it for about a minute and said I didn't style it because you'll probably wash your hair later. When paying, he asked do you need change? $20 for a $10 cut that took you 5 minutes? Yes. He gave $5.00 and decided to tip him $5.00 for a lazy job. DO NOT GO. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. read more

Ive been getting my hair cut by Nancy for almost 10 years now. I found her at a chain hair salon (I'm pretty low maintenance when it comes to my hair and have never spent more than around $35 for a haircut, so I don't have much to compare to) one day and kept going back to her ever since until she opened her own salon a couple years ago, and my mom and I still go to her. Nancy is always very efficient and fast and extremely skilled. I've gotten a haircut in a different place that took an hour and a half and looked great, but Nancy can do the job in 15 minutes or so. Speed doesn't have to mean carelessness or lack of quality, I think it's just confidence here. Usually, I just look for a photo of a hairstyle I like and show her, and she knows exactly what to do and gets right to work. On other occasions, I went without a picture or style in mind and just said maybe some layers here and there, and I've never had a complaint. I highly recommend Nancy. Might be good for cuts but don't recommend for color. Salon is basically 2 chairs and a waiting area. No privacy. To start my appointment for basic highlights the stylist sat me in a chair 2 feet away from waiting area and proceeded to ask me what I wanted and each time I tried to explain he challenged me. when I asked for his advice he never gave it.
