    Milanesa Torta

Rating 3.5 Customer Service: The cashier was very bland. Neither welcoming or rude just there. The cook hand me the torta de milanesa and was indifferent. Food: The Torta itself was a good portion. Taste it was 3.5/5 not too special. Lacked flavor. Red salsa lacked flavor.

Ohhhh mouth watering pastry. Too many to choose from. Super friendly service. I'm not fluent in Spanish, but they worked with me. They serve regular main entree items as well as bakery items. They also offer call in and pull up service right to the door, which is a major plus. I tried the quesadilla, and they are huge. I love this place, will definitely return.

Okay I've been spoiling you guys with these nice restaurants in these great areas (LA, Beverly Hills, Malibu, the valley) but now I'm going to tell you about a spot in my hometown. The South Side of Oxnard CA. If you're ever in my hometown area, take a trip over to Nancy's Bakery for some good authentic Mexican food. Ever since I received word that one of my favorite burrito shops (a few doors down) closed down, I thought we would be taco-less (from great tacos on the south side). Fortunately for me, I ran into one of my boys and he brought me here to check it out. I haven't been home in a while and I've seen this bakery before but I never knew this place served Mexican food and it was delicious! I decided to go with the 4 hard shell taco plate. I got 2 pollo and 2 al pastor with rice and beans. The tacos were good, especially the al pastor. The taco shells were really crisp and taste like they were freshly made, which I believe they were because our food took a while to come out. The only negative was they had everything to drink except a few essentials. They had Gatorade (deli drinks) but no bottled water or unsweetened ice tea. They also didn't have any fresh Tamarind, Jamaica or Orchata. If they just add those they will be solid! Overall, this place isn't a looker and it's tucked away in the back of a parking lot BUT believe me! The food is top notch and competes with some of the best authentic Mexican food in the Ox! OOOO 4 out of 5 Afros

I followed the locals to this authentic (and seemingly popular) no-frills Mexican panaderia and deli. Grab a tray with some tongs and help yourself to the Mexican pan dulce/sweet breads (cookies, cake, muffins, conchas). Their pastries are gigantic! And most seem to be 60 cents each (didn't see pastry prices posted). They also sell drinks (there was a big sign in the window that said coffee) and food (tortas, sopes, menudo, tacos for $1.09 each). * Huge biscuit/scone - not as dense or as sweet as the ones I've had elsewhere, soft, light and fresh, really good * Muffin - good, fresh and not too sweet The other sweet breads I had were quite dry. I think they also sell some random things like phone cards? Cash only

This place used to be really good but now it's just lacking quality. Not to mention their cashier doesnt have the best attitude not friendly whatsoever makes you not even want to ask questions about the food. I went today and they weren't busy ordered a torta , quesadilla , eggs and ham with rice and all I can say is nothing was even half eaten I wanted a refund but I didn't want to go argue with them. My quesadilla was soggy you could barely hold it to eat it the lettuce was put inside I wasnt aware of that I did not like it whatsoever. The eggs and ham I had gotten them for my daughter if you tilted the plate you could see all the grease and what's with the giant ham scares . I didnt like it so I didnt feed it to my daughter didnt seem appropriate. The torta was the only thing that was maybe passable. I also got a large lemon water it wasnt as good as it used to be it tasted somewhat weird if I'm being honest. Definitely no longer reccomend! Seek a different mexican restaurant they fell off. Also I called to see if i could get a refund and they refused as you can see I'm not one of those people who eat the food then complain, the food is there they said i had to speak with the owner and save the food until tomorrow so i can take it to her. I'm not a freeloader paying for food then asking for a refund it was genuinely gross to the point I wanted to throw up and I'm not exaggerating.

This former house, now a lovely business, offers plenty of room to relax with a delightful beverage, some engaging conversation, and a bit of gift shop gazing. Hungry? No problem! The accommodating staff will let you know what they recommend for a quick bite, or a satisfying meal. Plenty of locals were here on the day we popped in, working on laptops, discussing presentations/proposals, and enjoying a book with their mocha, cozied up in a comfy chair. We were looking for a quick, easy bite and some caffeine before we moved to our next location. Splitting a ham & cheese on fresh sourdough, then each getting a bevvie(he likes a cup o' Joe in the afternoon, but I had a delicious spiced Chai with whole milk) was a perfect little snack to keep us revved up. What a lovely way to chill out, or be productive! Parking is free on the street, and also in a lot on the opposite side the square. I love that they also support other local, small businesses and artists with some of the items they have for sale. I couldn't resist a bag of kettle corn for just $6 and then read the label that it was produced in a fully licensed local, private kitchen. Lic and expiration date, as well as ingredients and location of manufacturer were clearly stated on the packaging, making me feel real comfortable about my purchase and support of local businesses. How cool to have a business that provides space for other, even smaller businesses! I already was thinking about the friends I was eager to share this great little spot with, in hopes they too will enjoy and return with their friends. And so on, and so on, and so on! Cheers! "CC"

And let me tell you, when you're heading to an island for kayaking and hiking, securing food starts to feel less like lunch planning and more like wilderness survival strategy. The online ordering process, though, gave my husband a minor technological character-building experience. Not especially intuitive or user friendly. Then, on the morning of the trip, we weren't entirely sure where the lunches would actually appear. Tiny scavenger hunt energy. Thankfully, they were waiting for us at the ferry office, and we both immediately took the same relieved breath: "Excellent. We shall not perish on the island." The sandwiches themselves were genuinely delicious. I had the Caprese, my husband had the turkey baguette, and both were fresh, flavorful, and substantial enough to fuel actual adventure instead of just delaying hunger by 20 minutes. Each lunch box also came with chips, Fuji water, and a chocolate chip cookie that quietly stole the show. Soft, delicious, and exactly the kind of reward you want after hauling yourself around an island pretending you're far more athletic than you really are. By the time lunch was over, I was happy, full, and fully prepared for the next round of kayaking and hiking. Which is really the highest compliment an adventure lunch can get.

I also asked for a recommendation, and the barista suggested their Biscoff coffee. That one absolutely blew me away! They even added pieces of Biscoff cookie on top, and I instantly fell in love with it. For dessert, we tried their mango sago. The jokes and laughter flying around make this spot feel fun, welcoming, and real. The staffs positive attitudes are contagious, that's for sure. Now let's get into the good stuff....what did I order?: SAUSAGE & BACON BREAKFAST CROISSANT Low key one of the most slept on breakfast sandwiches in the 805. Candied bacon, juicy sausage patty, perfectly cooked egg, melty cheese on a warm buttery croissant. Absolute perfection. 10/10. GET THIS! Pro tip: grab the side of hash browns. The gooey cheese from the sandwich inevitably falls onto those crispy bites and suddenly you're in full food coma heaven.
