Picked up my sister in law from Tony Honda were she dropped her car off. My wife suggested Nancy's Kitchen. Well we got to Nancy's at about 9:30 am. Greeted and promptly seated. It took a few minutes before she came to take our order. She was the only server so it was understandable that the service was slow. our table had four different breakfast orders. All of which were not hot. It must of been sitting out a while. My order of homemade corned beef hash with over easy eggs would have tasted better is it was served warm or hot. The ambiance is clean and open. Since does have a bar area the lighting was dim. That was also my observation from the lat time I've been there. Enjoy
Haven't been here for a long time, decided to come back and bring some of my friends for dinner. I think the food came better than before, the Kalbi was delicious. Our waiter Anthony has excellent customer service, he's been here for 13 years. I will definitely come back again with my friends. Aloha, Derek
OK, so it's been years since I came here! I believe the last time I came here was when I downed several gnarly Bob Marley shots I honestly don't even think we ate here. We just came for drink back then BUT..... Can I just say..."BEST KALBI RIBS EVER!!!!" Like....FRFR! Finger licking good I must add! Everything about today was great! Service was awesome. Was good fun talking stories with the employees. The Kalbi was to die for! The breaded shrimp was fairly big and had flavor even without the tartar sauce. Mind you the tartar sauce tasted like it was homemade. me either with a soup or salad. I ended up getting the barley soup. It had ground beef in it however it wasn't oily at all, and I appreciated the broth as well as the fresh vegetables in it. It also came with either Jell-O or pudding. I ended up getting the chocolate pudding topped with whip cream. I ended up mixing the whip cream and chocolate pudding together to make it into a mousse, and it was so good. It hit the spot. Although it did look like it needed a little remodeling with updated chairs and tables. I still wouldn't change anything it gave off a good bar, feeling to it like a bar and grill type of vibe. MUST TRY THE KALBI!!!!!!!! Ok byeeeee
My friends and I stopped in for lunch today at about 11:00am. The place was empty, only had 2 tables taken. The girl brought us menus right away and asked us what we wanted to drink. We all got water. After a few minutes, another girl came by to take our order. I'd say the food didn't take too long and I was happy that all 3 came out at the same time. I ordered the Teri beef sandwich with fries. It was just ok, nothing spectacular but a little on the saltier side. The fries were good. My friend didn't care for the won ton in her saimin. The won ton wrapper appeared really thick. She took all of her filling out and only at the filling. My other friend ordered the French dip and she ate it all. The server came by twice to fill our water. I was surprised that it was so empty. The whole time we were there, only one couple came in to eat. I wonder how they can stay in business. Lunch seems really slow. The ambience is very dated and they could use a renovation or an updated look. Beer cases are stacked in the hallway by the bathroom. The seats in the booths are cracked and not in good shape. I
We went recently after a 5th grade graduation for Pearl Harbor Christian Academy. Got seated quickly and served when we were ready, waitress was pretty on it throughout our stay for breakfast. Food was delicious and the place was clean. Food was a lot, took home leftover. They offered a hash brown patty or homemade potatoes, I took the homemade, well seasoned & cooked well. So go an enjoy a well made breakfast!
Don't let the bar-like atmosphere fool you...this place is a for-real local awesome breakfast place. First time here, I had the adobo fried rice, and it was delicious! Sometimes I get a bubble from other places, and you can't taste the vinegar... Here the vinegar is the star of the adobo without being too overwhelming. My friends had the SOS and they swore by the delicious gravy and the meat. They're all veterans, so you know they truly appreciate a good SOS. This time I had corn beef hash with eggs and rice, the hash was fried up perfectly, crispy crust, outside, good balance of meat and potatoes on the inside. Popped the over easy egg yolk after the corn beef hash, and it was perfection! I'll definitely be back when I can !
Great service! Came here just for desserts but we will definitely be back for a meal (and more dessert!) My cheesecake was accidentally brought out frozen (new worker, no one's fault!) and the server immediately fixed it! Such great service! Kind employees, happy environment, clean location 10/10 recommend
Wtf. $18 Beef Curry plate. I can fricken see the bottom of the plate. It's curry. You should never see the bottom of the plate. You guys absolutely suck.
It's been over a decade since I've last visited this place and I don't even recall them have a sit down dining in. Met up with a couple of friends to have dinner and catch up. I ordered the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and got the complete meal which comes with either a soup or salad, dinner roll and jello or pudding. We must have picked a night where they ran out of a lot stuff, because they didn't have soup or pudding and some other entrees that I can't remember. Service isn't fast at all but they try their best. It's a good thing our group was as patient as we could be. Not sure if I'll be coming back but if I do, I'm going to try something else. I do love the feel of a home cooked meal without cooking at home.
Came here twice in the last week or two because it was one of the places that could accommodate our party size without any reservations. Both times we were a party of 15 and 12, respectively. The first time, it seemed as if our server was the only person working. Along with our party, she also had 3 other tables and you could tell that she was the only one on because of how fast she was moving. But I give her credit, she did well with our party along with the other tables. Our drinks and food came out in a timely manner. She kept our drinks full as well. On to the food. I ordered the ox tail soup. I thought it was pretty good but there were lots of Chinese cabbage in it. However, there were a good amount of meat which was also tender. My Daughter had the saimin but nothing special about it. I felt like the noodles were overdone but she's a kid so she doesn't know any better. My Cousin had the lau lau and although it was tender, it was lacking on taste. The second time we went, we got there before closing but service was still good. We didn't feel like they were rushing us out. I ended up having the same thing because nothing else sounded appetizing to me. My Husband had the loco moco. I tried it but it was okay. Nothing special about it neither. It is a restaurant/bar so the other half of the restaurant is kind or loud.
We did happy hour here the day before NYE so thankfully the place was relatively empty the whole night. Got a whole bunch of dishes off their pupu menu and a bunch of drinks. Service was quick and friendly. Food was pretty good with the garlic Frings (fries and onion rings) and the won ton being our faves.
Good local food was delicious, wait staff are very friendly ! Our last waitress had only been there for a couple of days and yet she got our order to us perfectly! It's quaint bug time for a make over in the dining room it's looking dated.
went to celebrate a coworkers last day, so we made reservations for a late lunch on veterans day a lot of people kept trickling in and they were pretty steady and busy, which was junk because there was not enough wait staff to accommodate everyone. it took a long time for anyone to get our orders or bring our drinks, and then sometimes theyd forget drinks. other than them being understaffed they were very friendly, so at least that aspect of customer service was on point. food was good. old school diner style which is getting harder and harder to find, so it was a comfort to know that there are still places like this that do exist. there is a large area for dine in customers, and then after 3pm the bar opens (whenever the bartender shows up as they were late that day). bar side is a lot smaller. basically just counter space and a couple of small tables. lots of dart boards though and a digital jukebox. great place to get lunch, relax place to just chill and have a few drinks. there were a few people on the bar side who were just there by themselves, chilling. tons of parking in that shopping center too so thats a plus.

This place that holds a lot of history for me the kind of spot where the memories come back in waves. Nancy's, the old playground, learning darts for the first time, late‑night pupus, meeting people, feeling like you were part of something. Places like that become anchors in our lives, even if we don't realize it until they're about to disappear. If the rumor is true and OG Bar and Restaurant really is closing on Sunday, April 12, 2026, that's a big loss. Spots like that don't just serve food and drinks -- they end up shaping friendships, routines, and whole chapters of life. An "open to close" last hurrah feels fitting for a place that clearly meant a lot to the community. A closure like this can stir up nostalgia, but it can also be a chance to revisit those memories with a little gratitude. If you do go for that final night, it might be a meaningful way to honor what the place gave you. What's the strongest memory that comes back to you when you think about your time there? Its been a good run Nancy's. Grew up my whole life in Waipio and Nancy's has always been the only real bar and restaurant. Especially one with darts. Many great times and memories here. Hate to see it go. Always had great food and ono drinks. A number of friends worked here while growing up. Its really a shame that this business will be over soon. Something good better replace it. read more

I don't understand how this resturaunt has 2.5 stars... very surprising to me as the service is almost always great, the food be bomb and the wait is never long. Went several times and top two things I would recommend would be the li hing margarita. Can be blended or served on rocks, and... best of all. You can ask for extra li hing! I'm not a fan of tasting alcohol so masking the taste and have it creep up to you is more of my route, hehe, second thing you have to try is their pork chops! Last time me and my boyfriend went was on a Monday night and boyyyy I love how not crazy busy it was. Monday night is def the night for you too if you want to catch a drink and some munchies! At the time their dinner menu or option was unavailable but the pupu menu is enough to fill ya up! read more

Hands down one of our favorite local spots! Best bartenders, best food, best drinks! I'm extremely disappointed to see that it only has 2 1/2 stars. But why? This place has great food! We always order 2 of the fried pork chops. It's always cooked to perfection and a side of that tangy yummy sauce! We tried the clams for the first time. Wow they were so good. That butter garlic sauce was great! We actually had to order another one because it was so good. The wings & poppers are a great pupu to have while you are drinking. We come here a lot and we always order Bob Marley's. Not to sure what's in it but it's our favorite! It's colorful and delicious. They have dart boards but lately since Covid, they haven't been using all of them because of social distancing. Hopefully that changes soon. We always enjoy coming to Nancy's. For some reason we come at good times because there is never a line. Can't wait until we come again. Definitely one of our favorite spots. read more

The restaurant was wide open when we went. We were seated promptly. The server was very friendly just had to ask for refills on water/drinks was the only thing that stood out. I only tried this dish and I felt I liked it. The chicken was fried up crispy. It was a little dry. The rice had a texture I wasn't crazy about and there was a strong scent of pine sol in the restaurant that may have thrown off my taste buds a little. I would go back and try it again read more

The lechon sauce was straight up soy sauce. So salty that I couldn't eat it. Was tasting like pure salt. Had to give it back and asked the server to taste it. Well she's vegan. I then ordered the nachos. Taco Bell was better. They really got more crappy on there food. Had the pork cutlet last week. Crap! If you go there then just order drinks and no food. It's crap! read more

Mother in law, hubby and I came here for lunch since we were in the area. Food here was just average and nothing to write home about. I have been here once before and I had the chicken salad. Today I had the chicken stir fry that came with onions, green peppers and mushrooms. It also came with green beans, the canned kind. Bland! The stir fry was good but a little salty. For appetizer, we had nachos which was your standard nacho cheese, sour cream, salsa, and jalapeños. I picked off the jalapeños as I don't like them. Seating is limited. It got pretty packed around lunch time. Service was great by our waitress. She refilled our waters. There were two television screens that was playing the cooking network and was on diners, drive in and dives. Not sure if I would come back. Food was just okay. read more
