First time visiting this chain in London. My 16 year old son have been craving it since he came across it on YouTube. Tons of seating areas including a whole underground floor. You have to be waited to be seated but we had no issue at prime dinner time. Atmosphere is of a causal restaurant. Menu is accessible via a QR code and you can order the mean for the table and pay for it via the website on your mobile. Food is then delivered to your table. I got the 1/4 chicken with side of broccoli and peas and an extra side of their chips. I was told that we can order the 1/4 chicken in thing or breast but the app did not have an option for it. The head waiter said he can verbally ask the kitchen to do a breast for me but at the end I got a thigh. I didn't want to make a fuss and wait for a breast so I ate the 1/4 chicken thigh that was super small. I highly urge anyone considering this to get 1/2 chicken. The peas was nothing to write home about and I would avoid next time. I also got the broccolini which were delish. The chips were different and nothing special and I am glad I got a small size as it was enough for the 3 of us to try. My wife got the Caesar salad with chicken breast. I don't thrill she was very happy with it and it didn't look particularly appetizing. My son was happy with his double breast meal. We all agreed that the best tasting item was the halloumi cheese appetizer. I would give this place a solid 3. We popped in for dinner when out and about and looking for something quick to eat. Ordering was very simple via QR code and our food was ready within about 10 minutes. I went with the quarter chicken and two sides. Everything was tasty, and while prices were fair, I was still a bit hungry after, being used to the massive sizes of chickens in the US, and expecting "quarter" to be much larger. First Nando's experience! Really helpful and kind staff. Got the 4 boneless chicken thighs with medium spice level. Chicken is cooked on the grill fresh after ordering and it's so juicy and tender with great smoky flavor. Medium sauce is good but I could have gone spicier. I dipped in the peri peri herb sauce and the extra hot peri sauce, which were both great! Peri salted chips were super tasty as well. Corn on the cob also freshly grilled! Also had 2 drinks, unlimited refills. Total was less than £20, which is probably the best value you can get in this area. Would definitely eat here again! read more

We have Nandos back home so I was hesitant to try them for the first time in Kensington. I was out voted by family who wanted Nandos chicken. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. We had two orders of the half chicken (& server suggested getting a whole chicken with sides-Better pricing) and some Buffalo Wings. The chicken is tasty, seasoned and you do get some char grilled taste. Wings were also good. They have a good variety of sauces with low to extra hot levels. I am such a huge huge hugeeee fan of Nandos!!! Sadly, we don't have a Nandon in LA where I live so naturally I was SO excited to have some on my trip. We went to this Nandos TWICE in a row and I loved it!! The restaurant itself was super clean, great staff AND great location with some awesome coffee shops really close by. We took the bus after which we got from right across. My husband and I ordered their No bone platter which basically had boneless chicken (breast and thigh both) with three sides one day and also tried their chicken burger and half chicken the next day. Soooooo I'm visiting from NY, was recommended by friend to try this spot out. The staff are EXTREMELY friendly, very sweet, and always with smiles. However to me personally the food was okay, I got the chicken thighs, medium spicy, which seemed very dry also pretty bland. It's not what I expected peri peri chicken to be. For those of you who have been to PIO PIO in NY, this is NOT the equivalent. However it wasn't terrible and I would still come here for a bite if I was a local, but as a tourist, I think it's personally something you can skip out on. I love you Nandos! Every time I cross the pond, I make sure to get at least one Nandos meal in - preferably immediately after landing. The peri-peri chicken is AMAZING, not to mention you can customise the amount of spice you're feeling. Pair it with a few sides, and you're set for a delicious meal. Some locations serve alcohol, so be sure to order a pitcher of their sangria for your group if you're thirsty. This was my first time trying a Nandos and I was not dissappointed. After reading the other reviews we walked up to the counter and made our order. I got the Chicken Butterfly paired with the Mango Lime and added the Super Grains as my side, both were delicious. The chicken breast were thinly sliced and I loved the Mango Lime flavor, it added a great flavor to the chicken that was sweet and had a slight kick due to the lime, I would recommend this to someone who's wanting flavor but not spiciness. I also loved the Super Grains, a mix of wheat berry, edamame, beans, quinoa, barley and kale mixed in an avocado and buttermilk dressing. After waiting for 10 mins been ignored for a table I approach the counter and ask for a table again the cashier ask the manager to seat me a second time around . He muttered something in Portugese to the cashier and I was finally shown to a table . Portuguese restaurant in London! What a pleasant surprise this place was. It was our first time at a Portuguese place and was so good. I had the butterfly chicken with medium sauce, It was cooked perfectly and had a great spicy kick to it. The fries and corn were pretty standard but the chicken is excellent. Oh, Nandos, you can do nothing wrong! I love this chicken with a passion and this branch didn't fail me. We came on a Saturday evening after the shops had closed, and there were only a few other guests. For the first time I went for the chicken thighs (boneless and so juicy) and I don't think I'll ever go back! Spicy rice are of course a must as well. That being said, I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. The restaurant is pretty big with high ceilings, and it doesn't feel cramped (I've been there when it was full as well). Our first night in London. Our bus driver recommended this spot. We had no idea what kind of food it was going to be. Portuguese food! Arriving, there were lots of people dining. Always a good sign. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly with Afro beats music and art all over. The host seated us and we decided on our food. Only one suggestion...ask if guests have been before because we had no idea how the ordering process was. We waited a bit for a server and finally someone told us how to order. That was the only hiccup. Other the that the Portuguese wine was delicious and complimented the wonderful spicy food. The naughty natas were a perfect small dessert. The cherry on top? While visiting London we were told by this random guy at a shop we needed to try Nandos and when we happened to walk by one we stopped in. It was great and the service was friendly. The chicken was flavorful and juicy and the sauces were good. The hot peri-peri sauce was my favorite. I am not a fan of the mint in the peas, but everything else we tried was good. Then had the pleasure of meeting Rudina at the register. She is so friendly and upbeat all the same time super efficient. First thing I noticed when I walked in was how BEAUTIFUL the resturant was!!! My family and I are on a trip and chose this resturant for lunch. Awful, surly service by Valerie. Our party of four had never been to Nando's. When we walked in, Valerie told us to sit down and pointed to a table that had some kind of liquid spilled over the entire table. We politely asked to sit at the next table which was clean. Not sure why but I think that she was angry that we didn't want to sit at the dirty table (who knows who angry she would have been if we actually asked her to clean the table!). She then put 4 menus on another table (which wasn't very clean but actually dry) and walked away. We waited for over 15 minutes for her to return and take our order. She never did. Two customers walked in and she immediately reappeared, went to the register and took their order. We then realized that she was probably never going to take our order and we decided to leave. I went to the register to ask her why she never took our orders and instead helped customers who had just arrived? I also asked for the name of her manager. She would not give me her manager's name and told me that I was supposed to order at the register and then sit down. I replied that I was not told to order at the register and since I'd never been to Nando's restaurant, I couldn't have known this. I again asked her for her manager's name and she instead replied that she told me when I came in that I should've ordered at the register. So I would like to especially thank Valerie for ruining an otherwise really enjoyable night out for my family.
