Online registration was quick and easy and the best was being able to make an appointment online for same day testing. I still waited about 20 minutes but it beats waiting for hours. a friend of mine recommended statcare because they take appointments. i did like that i was in and out of there in less than 5 min. HOWEVER its all kind of pointless when you dont get any results at all. i first went for my rapid and pcr test on 12/28 and only received my rapid results within 30 min. today is 1/7 (10 days) and i still have not received my pcr results. i made an appointment for yesterday 1/6 for my rapid and pcr again (because i'm traveling next week). and they said i should expect my rapid results in 30 min in my portal account. it is now the following day and i still see nothing new in my portal account. i would not recommend this place for rapid/pcr testing unless you want to get tickled in the nose with no results. read more

I went to StatCare in Jackson Heights to obtain a rapid covid test as I was feeling very rundown for several days and wanted to be extra cautious as I needed to go into work and to a dentist appointment at the end of the week. I made an online appointment the day before, but waited over an hour after my appointment time to be seen for my test. I was not shocked by the wait, but it does not seem that it makes any sense to make an appointment, rather than walking in. When I was first called to a room, the room they brought me to already had a patient in the room, so I was sent back to the waiting room. What I was most shocked about is that I saw several staff members in the hallway by the exam rooms not wearing their masks. Witnessing this made me lose all faith in the safety protocols of the clinic. I did get my covid test and after speaking to the medical technican who told me the rapid test is only about 80 percent accurate and the clinic charges a flat $100 charge for it even if you have insurance, I decided to only get the standard test that is covered by insurance. I understand that during this pandemic with a new variant surging across the country , people are nervous during this holiday season and want to get tested for Covid. Some people need the test for traveling overseas or people wanting to visit their families. In this location the lines were chaotic. To the left the line were for people with appointments and the right the line were for walk ins. The person in charge of the line were letting in the walk ins first. Why more of the walk ins than the people with appointments?. Shouldn't the people with appointments be accommodated first? The person let in 3 people with appointments and 7 people without. I questioned the person and I was told she was trying to be fair. I had an 11:00am appointment I got there at 10:30 am I didn't get my test until 1:15pm. Another person protested why more people with no appointments got in first. The people with appointments had their information filled out and insurance info. The correct thing to do would be to take care of the people with appointments who had their info online and take a few of walk ins since they did not have their info in the system. Instead of having more walk ins with no info in system gumming up the process and not have people screaming and fighting on the line. The test was less than 2 minutes. Each person with an appointment would have been in and out less than 5 minutes. The management is terrible. The medical staff was incredible. They were friendly and very much aware that people were waiting a long time in the cold. Good people at the desk too. read more

Do not come here. I had an identical experience to the other reviewers. Advised that it would take 5-7 days to get my COVID-19 labs listed online. It's been 7 days, so I called. On the phone, but they just told me that while Statcare *HAS* my results, it will take another 24-48 hours for them to **read the results** and post them on the portal. It should not take 2 days to read a single lab result. I still do not know if my symptoms (which have continued) can be attributed to COVID-19 or something more serious. This pace is unheard of. Just go to CityMD or someplace else that takes your health care seriously. I will say: the nurse that took my blood was excellent. Five stars to her, 1 star to everything else. EDIT: Received my results 8.5 days after I took the test. My partner, who took her test in the same room & at the same time as I, STILL has not received her results. It has now been 10 days. Go elsewhere. EDIT 2: It took a total of 12 days for my partner to receive her results. FINAL EDIT: In response to Jahiro's note - I understand the lab delay. AVOID Nao Medical, horrible mangement / staff. They will give you uninvited headache, when your intention to visit was a cure. I had a confirmed follow-up Appt via email/sms/phone on 10/13/2022 12:00 PM. When I reach Nao Medical, Jackson Heights, NY, on 10/13 11:45 AM (approx.), front-desk and manager says we dont have your appt instead its on 10/17. The manager claims to be busy in a meeting, when requested multiple times to come out, she takes the conversation in following tangents: 1. Nao medical Call-center confirmation has nothing to do with Nao medical offices 2. Tries her best to feed words in my mouth that you booked tele-appt and not follow-up, when all my confirmation show follow-up appt. 3. She even uses distraction methods, calls another colleague of her from inside, makes me repeat the story and the colleague says you do not have an appt and your wait time can be more than a few hours 4. Manager decides to use false claim that blood work was not ready, physical was not done, etc. 5. On agreeing to re-schedule the appt, she even prints out wrong appt date of 10/17, with wrong patient information, so I had to again get that corrected. However, this was only follow-up appt from 10/10 8pm where they did my entire physical and blood, and drug tests, results were mailed out to me on 10/12. On 10/10 the doctor/physician-assistant said it should be only a few minutes for follow-up and will be managed at front desk co-ordinating w doctor inside. I requested the name of manager and her visiting card, she is reluctant to give that information, instead she scribbles something on paper and hands over to me. State care lost my Covid-19 results, and decided to tell me 10 days after I got nasal swabbed. Got re-swabbed for a 2nd covid-19 test. It's been 1 week since the 2nd test and still no results. Almost 3 weeks and I still haven't gotten any results. Everytime I call nobody ever picks up any of their phones. It's all automated and after 20 minutes it just hangs up on you. Very unprofessional Either way I still like to thank the doctors,nurse, receptionist etc. but they work for an unprofessional, unorganized company. Its 2020 and nobody answers the main phone number or the store phone number. 1st test I waited 3 hrs with an appointment. I went in, in person & waited 1 hr to speak to someone about my lab results, for them to tell them it's not ready yet. Update- I never got my results. Ended up going to a different place got swabbed and everything and was there for less than 5 minutes. Then I got my results the next day. The owner/manager responds to my comment but doesn't offer to contact me and help me out. Says alot about this place. read more

Horrible service, beware of hidden charges. I was not told I would be charged for a Covid test, as most places in NYC are offering free testing. I got my test done, and hadn't received any notice from Statcare about billing, until I got a letter from my insurance saying I owed $100 for this test. I called Statcare and was told someone from their billing department would reach out to get this sorted out. Never heard back, but did get another notice from my insurance saying I was now getting charged $300 for this same exact test. Not sure what kind of scam this place is running, but it seems extremely unprofessional to use predatory billing during a pandemic. Ineffectual staff that is not capable of processing basic information. Do not come here if you need a COVID RT-PCR for travel, as they are not concerned about your urgent need and would not rush processing. As such, my international trip was cancelled at great expense due to their gross ineptitude. Promised results within 24 hours at first, then changed the story to 3-4 days, then finally a recording saying it can be OVER 14 DAYS TO GET RESULTS. I fully understand that this is a national crisis and a result of a total lack of federal guidance and support, however the staff could have saved me and my employer tens of thousands of dollars just by being UP FRONT and informing me BEFOREHAND that they are incapable of returning results in any reasonable amount of time. I've visited this facility 4 times in the past month and each time has been a terrible experience. For my first appointment, which I had made online, they asked me to come back two hours later, and then we still had to wait another hour. For the second appointment, there was a crowd of us locked out of the building because they did not have a key to enter. I then had two online appointments for which no doctor showed. In spite of the terrible service, all who helped were at least kind and respectful, however at my latest appointment I was treated horribly by the "doctor." I had returned because in these difficult times I was trying to avoid traveling into Manhattan to see my regular physician, however I will not return to Statcare again, especially after being treated so disrespectfully by the "doctor." If it were possible to give zero stars, I would. Three months after a visit to Nao Medical I received a bill for $650, plus lab expenses which total roughly $150. In addition, I found out recently that several people in my neighborhood were victims of Nao Medical's unethical billing practices. Upon entering the facility, I gave them all insurance details. The person at the front desk confirmed that the insurance was accepted and that no amount was due. After meeting with the doctor for a Covid test, I checked with the front desk to ensure that I did not owe anything. They confirmed yet again that nothing was due and that the insurance had been accepted.Needless to say, I was SHOCKED to receive a bill for $800+ for a Covid test three months after the fact. My attempts to follow up have been futile: nobody picked up the phone or responded to emails. Sadly, this may take many more months to resolve because I can't reach anyone at Nao Medical. This afternoon I went to this facility. Wrote down reason for visit and signed in. Reception was nice n simple routine. I got called in from nurse and took all info (about 15 min with her). First unknown person comes in and asks what's been the problem? I was a llittle irritated at first because after writing it down and then giving all information to nurse, your telling me you come in here clueless. Doctors don't read chart information anymore, they walk in the room and wing it. This man came in and walked out in less than 2 minutes. They then send in a different doctor. I'm guessing he oversees the first clueless guy that came in. So this doctor in white lab coat comes in and says, "so what's the problem". I haven't really slept in 3-4 days, exhausted, headache,, fever, bodyaches etc . This doctor so quick to jump and rush for me to answer, saying (with his right hand in a hurry up movement) ," so, how can I help you"?!" Smh, if I wasn't so weak! He had done nothing, absolute nothing, know here's the kicker tonight I'm up again, Dry coughing, congested, headache, etc. I log into my chart and read his notes. LIES, LIES, LIES!!! SHAME ON THIS DOCTOR. The exam he claims he did, he DID NOT DO. The observations he made are Lazy ASSUMPTIONS. What he wrote down literally consisted of more words than when he spoke to me! I was so surprised and upset this evening reading this. Unbelievable. Why lie? How is this type of care allowed. People pay a lot of money for Healthcare and this is what we get. Ugh. As requested I tried doing all the paperwork online so I could book an appointment. Went through uploading all of the documents and it wouldn't let me schedule. Tried calling the 917 number and no one picked up for 20 minutes on hold and then went to voicemail. Walked in and it was empty. Afterwards, downloaded the app because that is how you get the Covid results. Wasn't given the credentials I needed to register, so i called the 917 number and again no one picked up after waiting on hold for 20 minutes. No direct phone call to the location and poor communication. It would be nice to have good customer service for healthcare and Covid results... during a pandemic. read more

My Mother-In-Law went in 3/8/23 with abdominal pain. She listed all her symptoms and they told her it was gas and gave her some gas relief meds. She went to the hospital and was diagnosed with Gastroenteritis. The gas relief meds were doing more harm than good. This urgent care sucks. read more

This place already has a ton of 1 star reviews so I really don't have too much to add. I can't imagine what a nightmare this place would be if you didn't have insurance because I noticed the doctors and nurses trying to upsell me on other services during my appointment. This was also my first appointment, but I've been prone to utis since high school, and have been to urgent cares to have it handled before. Never once have I been harassed about getting an STD/STI screening done (I have a pcp and obgyn that are very thorough, and had seen BOTH in the last month) (this was also not the only service they wanted to add on!) and called and texted mercilessly about a follow up appointment after I had already completed the standard course of antibiotics. Not to mention, I did not get to pick the time of this virtual follow up and it was changed on me multiple times over the past few days, I had noted multiple times that I was very busy and did not feel it necessary to have a virtual follow up as well, and when asked for any explanation why they thought it was necessary could only get "the doctor wants to". I love communication with my doctors, but this was to a point where I know its not about communication, its about wasting time. I've had other providers give me a phone call to go over lab results which takes 5 minutes. The virtual appointment bs is just a further attempt to keep billing my insurance- when I didn't have insurance, this would have been a nightmare. It is now 10 minutes before my virtual follow up and I have yet to receive the link they said they'd text me. If you're going to nag me over a follow up for several days, at least do it right. read more

I went for a rapid COVID test and was pleasantly surprised and how friendly and communicative they were. I'm used to being frustrated by doctor's offices and having to make 10 phone calls to clear something up. But from the moment I made the appointment they were really on top of it and helped me adjust my and my husband's appointment times and confirm I could also be checked out for something else. The staff was really warm and communicative. Yes, there was a long wait, but we were warned about that, and I had only made the appointment that morning so I was happy to get in somewhere last minute. The results were pretty quick too. It was a little annoying to have to wait for the results in person, instead of be called or messaged with them. But that may not be in their control. read more

These people lied. I have called several times asking if my 95 yo mother could come without any wait time to get a test done. I spoke to several people, explaining to them that at 95 she has difficulties walking and moving. That she cannot come back for another appointment. Upon coming there, the receptionist told her that she had to wait for 4 hours. I asked the receptionist to make an exception because of her advanced age. The receptionist refused. My 95-year-old mother had wasted her energy and had to go back. There was no compassion at all. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone. read more

I never felt more un- welcomed in a facility meant to take care of you then I do now on this visit. The assistant/nurse could not be any ruder as she says the staff is on lunch pointing to a sign that reads they were suppose to be back from lunch 1 hr ago. The most incompetent clinic with a bizarre idea to leave there front area unattended so there staff can eat together. I went to Stat Care on Monday, 11/23. I was going to get a rapid test done as I needed by results by Wednesday, 11/25. I had an appointment for 10:50am. I checked in with the person at the front desk. She asked me when I needed my results. I told her by Wednesday. She said I should get the PCR test done instead because it's more accurate and I will get the results in 24 hours. I said great, i'll get the PCR test. I waited about 45 minutes outside to be called in [even though I had an appointment]. Then I went in, got the swab. The nurse who did the test was nice and gentle, no complaints there. When I was done she instructed me to download the Healow app and that I'll see my results in 24 hours. As I write this it's Wednesday at 8:35am. I do not have my results. I've called Stat Care twice and all they say is that they've made a note for my results to be posted as soon as they're ready but that they results are still "pending." They said it'll take 3 days. HOWEVER, that is NOT what I was told at Jackson Heights. At the clinic, I was told it would take 24 hours, which is why I opted for that. Now, i'm stuck. I'm supposed to see my family this afternoon and I can't. My husband needed his results for work now he's stuck. What are we supposed to do. This is extremely dangerous. After getting rapid and pcr test over a week ago still no results have been uploaded in portal. After I was told the rapid results would be uploaded in an hour . You cant call to get in touch with anyone. I already experienced seeing what others had to go through outside waiting for documents from them I refuse to have to do the same. I tried to go with my fiancé in the summer to get a Covid test and was told to make an appointment online while no one was in the waiting room. The whole purpose of an urgent care is so people can get seen right away. Not go home and try to make an appointment online while I'm already there. I may need to go to an urgent care now and it doesn't look like this is an option. I tried to look into making the appointment for my fiancé and I was thinking I could maybe cancel it if he got something sooner and then I started thinking that they would have a cancellation fee and they do ( I called to confirm ). With getting a Covid test it's the sooner the better ( as I believe then people weren't getting results so quickly ). The sooner the better with any tests actually. Took an antibody test here. Never received any results. Finally when I complained after 10 days after testing, they said they lost my test and results. My son went for a COVID-19 test, after being assured by his insurance that the test was free because he met New York State criteria for free testing, after two lengthy discussions with Statcare administrators on the phone before the appointment about their procedure when he arrives for his appointment he is told he has to pay $50 for a followup consultation. ???? They parse their hours of operation, so make sure you arrive WELL before the 5 p.m. closing time listed on the website. Although I arrived at 4:11 p.m., I was told repeatedly that they "cannot see me now" because they "are not taking more patients." Even when I told the receptionist what the closing time on the website indicates, she said, "If it's serious, come back tomorrow." I said, "If it were serious, I'd go to an emergency room." This was a bad experience and a waste of time. In the future, if you live locally, go to CityMD on Roosevelt near the subway. Never had a bad experience there. read more

I don't recommend in any way. Tested 5/29 for antibody and nasal swab for positive/negative. Had tele appointment to get results rescheduled twice and now the third appointment is for 6/9, how many days after the test is that? What a mess.
