She called them today to ask if she could be given an appointment a bit closer to home for us than what they'd initially set up - and was told that there might be another option in Queens. We asked for the address of said place in Queens. Kinda important, since we're dealing with a foot fracture and can't move around super easily. At least the block or thereabouts. The lady on the phone flat out REFUSED to give us the address, despite being asked THREE TIMES "please let us know what the address of this place is, so we can see how to get there". Every time she'd avoid giving us a straight answer, almost aggressively. Somehow, someway, the person on the phone simply would not provide a geographical location/address - and doubled-down by telling my wife "if you don't make a decision now, and if you have to cancel the appointment, you'll be in trouble later". We'd completely understand if there were some rule or regulation keeping her from giving us a street address - but she never mentioned anything along those lines. She simply tried to be as unhelpful and rude as possible. Absolute sham of a service, almost malicious incompetence on display. Hope other CityMDs have better staff.

A few years ago, we brought my son in and the staff quickly recognized that he had pneumonia. They were thorough, attentive, and would not allow us to leave until they arranged a transfer to Elmhurst ER, which I truly appreciated. During what was a very stressful and scary situation as a parent, they took the time to explain everything clearly and made my son feel calm, safe, and comfortable. On another visit with my youngest child, we again received excellent care. The staff was kind, patient, and reassuring, and we never felt rushed. This location is also never busier than expected, and the registration process is always quick and efficient, which makes a big difference when you're there with a sick child. Overall, we've felt well cared for each time and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Modern MD's virtual queue takes the physical waiting out of the equation and allows you to essentially get an appointment to get tested. I've used the virtual waitlist twice now and have only needed to wait a couple of hours before I received a call to return to the office for my test. They offer both rapid and regular PCR tests, and both times I've chosen the more accurate PCR test and got my results back in 1 day via an online portal. The process couldn't be simpler. I have not felt great about the cramped waiting area, as many other reviewers note, but more alarming is the fact that several staff members remain unmasked at the office. From what I've been told, even if they have been vaccinated it's still unknown whether they can still carry the virus, so masking should still be required. It's funny because there are signs all over the office that state that they enforce a mask requirement. They don't. Fortunately I've never had to linger long in the waiting area or around unmasked staff, but it's not exactly a sign of care you'd want from an urgent care facility.

No insurance and was only charged $175 for the office visit plus $50 for the procedure (stitches). Went back 5 days later to have them removed and was not charged since I got the stitches there.

Afterwards, I was seen by a PA who was polite and knowledgeable and the team sent a prescription to my pharmacy right away. The facility was clean; there were hand sanitizing stations everywhere. The clinical exam room was also clean. The only star I take off for this place is the receptionist who was a young sullen woman who did not GAF about anything. Every interaction was unpleasant, but I didn't take any of it personally. All in all, would recommend, as they open at 8am, though I did not come right at 8am.

I had a bit of an unexpected experience here - I made an appointment and received a confirmation so…read morethat seemed fine. I arrive 10 min before my appointment time and actually called an hour before just to confirm. I arrive and the doors were locked. It was still half an hour before the location was supposed to close so I just kind of leaned against the wall outside since I came because I actually needed urgent care - I could hardly walk because I completely threw my back out. A man comes by and also tries to go in - he came out of an appointment a few hours before and the facility didn't send the pharmacy his medication at all. We both waited and I called Nao Medical customer service. Truly, customer service was amazing and they said they'd try to get ahold of this location because the location was literally still supposed to be open. Not five minutes later a lady comes to the door and opens it. She says "No we're closed, you need to leave and rebook". The other guy with me started to push back really hard because the medication was really important. I feel like even a vague sense of kindness would have been fine, but the abrupt turnaway and her locking the door back up in front of me with less than zero empathy had me a little teary eyed. I hobbled down the street a little ways before customer service called noting they weren't able to get ahold of them at all, the guy was really confused on what was happening - that dude was great and I was able to rebook for another location - I was half choked up from the rejection and back pain so it's a miracle he was able to hear me properly. Anyway, that's how I ended up traveling 4 more miles to another Nao Medical and FYI while they do take Cigna, they Don't take Cigna Essential Health so thank goodness for my HSA card having money on it instead but I should have just called my insurance's urgent virtual care and saved all the effort. Genuinely, I was really happy when this place first opened because it has nice branding, looks new and clean, and was really close to me. Really bummed it didn't work out well for me.
