Had a blast here today. The staff is so helpful and friendly. Binniee awesome, along with Nathan. Sorry I missed the name of the other two staff members that helped us, but they were a lot of fun too. We were with relatives visiting from Florida and the staff definitely put up with a crazy group of tasters. The wine we tried was excellent and all of us walked out of there with several bottles. I visited last Saturday, sat in the garden at a lovely picnic table with some delicious wine, and Amber - employee extraordinaire - saw how much we were enjoying ourselves, and brought a special treat just for me and my friends: an off-menu rosé for us to sample. My wife ad I loved Napa Cellars! It's not huge, and that's one of the reasons we liked it. If you go, ask for Darlene. She started us out with a complimentary tasting and then we each ordered a glass of wine. We used the priority wine pass and got two glasses for the price of one. We also stopped at Trader Joe's and Bouchon Bakery before we arrived, and had a picnic on their grounds. Darlene was so very kind and knowledgeable. My wife had a red zin and I had a glass of their meritage blend. Darlene gave us the background and history of what we were drinking and gave us some great recommendations on a few other stops. We got to walk through part of their vineyard and even taste the grapes on the vine. This is a MUST stop in Napa. read more

Yesterday we did some wine tasting at Napa Cellars. Russ was super nice greating us and pouring some Sauvignon Blanc while heading to our table. Then Nathan and Lance were wonderful pouring for us! My three year old daughter just loved them! After Lance gave her some crayons and a little coloring book she drew pictures for them. To start off with I had to use the restroom and a kind lady by the name of Debbie showed me where to find it,it had to be one of the cleanest restrooms I've ever seen! What a great start to some wine tasting! We were greeted by a gentleman by the name of Lance who was the host and asked what we were looking for in the wine department . The man was very cordial and quite a funny individual ! So he set us up in the wine tasting room and we were on our way to a great tasting event! Then came Aviva and she was the best! Talk about knowledge of wine this lady wrote the book on knowledge of wine! We were so impressed with all of her answers to all of our questions! I love Napa Cellars; this is my favorite place to visit. I have been there on many occasions from just picking up wine and having a glass or two, to a full-on birthday celebration. He intuitively recommended doing a side-by-side tasting with 2 different wines for each of us. for each flight. Asked what we thought after each flight which led to good discussions of their wine making, especially blending. Darlene made us feel very uncomfortable. Group of 8 walked in, no reservation however only 4 were tasting. We walked out, I prefer to spend my money where we are treated like "normal" human beings.
