Andy was absolutely amazing and phenomenal in our wine tasting experience today at Mom Vineyards. It was our second stop of the day. We first stopped at Steele Vineyards into the Manor tour and tasting Andy's vibe, what he brought to the table we were able to try a different wine that he recommended and it made our experience a 10 out of 10. My mom had the car crackers for a tasting a pallet cleanser, and I have the Boulder Rich potato chips for my tasting/palette cleanser. Andy's service was above and beyond. Trust me - worth the read. Wait for it. Well... let me tell ya everything you need to know about this place. For my birthday my wife and family went HARD on the surprises. First, they surprised me with my mom flying in from the east coast. Totally got me. Then the next day my aunt fly in and the surprised me again!!! Then they got me in the car not knowing where I was going and took me to an incredible Airbnb vineyard where we stayed the night. Such a great surprise. They told me that was the end of the surprises. Then this morning we got up and came here bc I love the bubbles so much and we are celebrating. Then.... Oh boy. There actually was ANOTHER SURPRISE. Visited Mumm for my daughter's birthday and it was perfect. I purchased the vineside tasting which is outside down stairs on a patio alongside the vineyard. We practically had the whole area to ourselves. Mia was our host and she was so sweet and made our experience so great. We tasted 4 different sparkling wines, my favorite being the DVX. I ended up buying a bottle. To make my daughter's birthday extra special we got a small box of chocolates and little charms to go on the wine bottle. I will note the standard tasting in the main area was very busy and extremely loud. If that's not your vibe spend the extra $ for a peaceful almost felt like an exclusive experience. Well worth it. My friend and I came here around noon on a Saturday. We didn't make a reservation and had an hour before our next winery, so we wanted to get a sparkling wine! We were able to walk in and get seated. The ambiance was very sweet and felt kind of like a country chic cafe? Hahah :) it was very bright and had a lovely view. We had the Brut Reserve Rose Extended Tirage and it came with some crackers to snack on. It had a nice color and was perfectly bubbly. Always a fun spot to stop in when in Napa. I buy Mumm rosé back home because of my first visit to Napa and having the opportunity to stop in here. As with everywhere in Napa, you have to make a reservation. We decided this would be our last stop of the day so we got in a reservation for late in the day. What a beautiful view of the sun over the vineyard while sipping some bubbly rosé. They had a different bubbly rosé than what they sell for mass production and it was absolutely delicious. This is a great place to sit around with girlfriends on a patio and just enjoy the beautiful view and great company. The team was very attentive and came by to check on us frequently. There are not enough good things that I could say about Mumm Napa. We have been coming here ever since I turned 21, so it's been plenty of years. They are our favorite winery by a long shot. My sister is also a club member, so we try to come monthly. They are always so friendly and helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. We visit many wineries and it's easy to tell who knows their stuff and also who just memorizes what to say about each bottle. The employees here are passionate, knowledgeable, and have opinions of their own. They always help us out and find new bottles for us. Any time we get an extra splash it leads to us buying more bottles because they know their stuff so well. Our favorite is the outdoor area below. It's gorgeous, quiet, and the most perfect place for wine tasting. So perfect that my fiancé and I wish we could do our wedding reception there, but they don't do events as such. Especially once they were hitting their third and fourth flights. I asked a few questions and my server whose name I forget, seemed snobby. Idk why when I asked a questions due to my own ignorance and not as knowledgeable about wines as I would like to be he acted if I asked the dumbest questions he had ever heard. We love wineries. Having grown up in Napa and living in another wine region further north now, we know what we like and what we don't like when we go to a tasting room. Have never been to Mumm before, and we liked it so well that we left with a membership. Sparkling wines are sometimes under represented and underappreciated in the US, but we can really recommend this place. The lineage goes all the way back to the champagne region in France and the craftsmanship shows. Knowledgeable, staff, and friendly, we didn't feel like we were being talked down to during the tasting experience. All the tastings are done outside on a patio overlooking a beautiful expanse of the valley and vineyards, heaters are provided in the cooler weather. Definitely try this place.
