You can't go wrong here if it is your third winery or a quick stop between tours. This place was basically empty on a weekday as only two other people besides our group were here at any time. We brought a group of 13 here to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. We wanted a place to hang outside and picnic and this place was absolute perfection! Darlene is a jewel of positivity and helpfulness! She reserved picnic tables for our group and even had a sign made welcoming my daughter on her birthday! She gave us a tray of cold water bottles and was very accommodating to our every wish. We spread out on 2 picnic tables and had many bottles of wine that were perfect for our group! The wine isn't the "best", but the atmosphere and friendliness of the people there outweigh that by far. There are also outdoor games to play and a beautiful vineyard to stroll through. The grass was well cared for and the whole atmosphere outside was inviting and comfortable. It was exactly what we were looking for and I am glad we found it in Napa Cellars. (Just a note: some of the pictures posted in the past are obsolete because they no longer have big Jenga and a few other fun things. They had corn hole and ladder toss, but when we asked for the ladder toss balls they told us they didn't have any at that time. It was still a totally fun day.) read more

Note: Folie a Deux used to be located in St. Helena (where Trinchero, its parent company currently resides), but is now in Oakville, down the road from Mustard's. Don't believe everything the GPS tells you!! Anyhoo, we had a great visit here. Very laid back atmosphere (is that Metallica I hear in the background?), knowledgable and friendly employees, fantastic pinot noir and cabernet. Tasting prices were reasonable at $5 for five pours plus we got to try a few extra not on the menu. Fun merchandise here as well. read more

We wanted a spot to have wine and a picnic. This place has an outdoor spot which is lovely. We brought cheese and crackers from Trader Joes and wanted to buy a bottle or two of their wine. We were told we could only buy by the glass unless we were in their wine club. The club required buying three bottles but we could open one now; and get at least three shipments of three a year. Well because we don't live in this area, it was not an advantage to join a club just to sit in their garden. We opted for buying four glasses of wine and spent considerably less than if we were allowed to buy bottles, and we left not feeling very loved! Wine, just ok. Garden beautiful. Napa Cellars in Yountville is one of Napa's best kept secrets! We are local residents and wanted to take our friends to a winery to enjoy a picnic and bottle of wine and this was the most charming spot. The staff was so friendly and welcoming and we were escorted to their beautiful garden area where we had our picnic and enjoyed a delicious bottle of Petite Sirah. Just spent an amazing sunny afternoon under the trees on comfy couches at Napa Cellars outdoor garden! You can play Corn Hole or Ladder Ball or just relax while listening to a happy-music playlist. Such a hospitable tasting room with friendly workers who are very helpful and knowledgeable. Great wines at reasonable prices and you can bring your own picnic lunch!. This is my new "everyday" wine, under $10. I love deep flavorful red wines and this one fits the bill. I worry about it getting too popular, I've noticed that the they are now in Safeway and that they are selling 2009 wines, and this could be a real problem is they get too popular. Great little tasting room with very friendly and down to earth staff. Menage a trois (my fav line of theirs) is a free tasting and tastings for Folie A Deux and Napa Cellars are $7 each. Generous tasting samples. Cellars has a slightly more complex palate than Folie, although all are at a pretty great price point. Worthwhile checking out for such a variety and at reasonable prices! They have picnic tables out back to snack among the vines. read more

Got caught in traffic driving back to Napa and decided to swing in on a whim...great decision. We ended up doing a couple of tastings with Darlene and the whole experience could not have gone better. Came in with my husband because I am a huge fan of Menage a trois wine. Every time we go to Costco, my husband already knows that we're going to get a bottle or two - hahaha. Such a great experience at Napa Cellars with Darlene! She was so gracious and friendly and made us feel right at home during our tasting. We didn't initially plan to spend so much time there but Darlene made the difference for us and the wines were all delicious too!! I'm not a Chardonnay fan but Napa Cellars Chardonnay is definitely one I would enjoy over and over. Unpretentious and affordable Tasting room that offers delcious wines. I like the Napa Cellars brand in particular and found it to be a good value. The Zinfandel and Sauvignon Blanc while not fancy are both smooth. This is a good place to explore for someone getting introduced to the world of Wine. While the wines are not complex or necessarily vintage when compared to other wineries in the area, they make for good drinking. read more

Best place for a very relaxing, tranquil, and private atmosphere. We arrived during low season so that may be a key reason why it was so relaxing and quiet. MUST TRY: Napa Cellars Pinot Noir.
