We…read moretook our time signing the contract, but eventually we were very pleased with the installation, and the windows look and work great, I think they are Simonton. After a year or so, which included some very heavy rains, we noticed some leaking around the top of one of the windows. We assumed there had been a problem with the installation, so we reached out to AWS. Apparently Judi has retired, and Kyle, her grandson (?) now runs the company. They sent a crew out, climbed up the ladders, pulled off some shingles, and discovered it wasn't a problem with their installation. The original home builders had put the copper flashing on top of the plywood sheathing, not under it. So the leak wasn't their fault, it was a preexisting condition. They replaced the flashing, and installed some additional waterproofing material and caulking, to get us through until we can have a contractor come and fix the root of the problem. Needless to say we felt bad their crew had to come all the way out, and ended up doing work on our house which was outside their original scope. We offered to pay them, but Kyle refused, and insisted he was happy to help us out, even though he wasn't obligated to do it. All in all we had a great experience dealing with them, and next time we need new windows we won't hesitate to call Kyle.

Save Energy did a fantastic job replacing our 4 sets of exterior French doors from start to finish…read more We found their sales and office staff to be very professional and we appreciated that Save Energy is an established local company. I was dubious that they could replace all of the doors in one day, but in minutes their large crew, led by Miguel, had removed everything, including all the interior and exterior molding and were examining and replacing rotten wood. They started working at around 8:30 am and were done installing at 3 pm! It was incredible! The doors are beautiful and the new interior framing around them is perfect. We found that one of the doors wasn't locking properly, so John Gorman, Save Energy's President, sent out Antonio a couple days later and he adjusted the hinges in minutes. Our overall experience was completely positive. Save Energy gave us such impressive service. We could not be more pleased.

Honestly, it would've been fine either way, but I love that it was a woman. Every step of the way every one was pleasant to deal with and competent at their job. They have a very dialed-in process and communications. Last, but certainly not least, the workmanship was excellent. We love our new windows and they have made our new home and workshop 100% better! The person who came out to assess our situation was Adel, and he was easy to connect to and trust. His answers were always knowledgeable and had reasons. He assessed that two of the windows I was replacing were incorrectly installed in the first place, which did not surprise me because whoever lived here in the 90s was a real do-it-yourselfer with more ambition than skills. So those two needed a "rebuild," but our bay windows were fine with a less expensive "replace." Once I signed the contract, the next person to come out was Kevin and he took very specific measurements and also rang with credibility. I was pleased to learn that many of the Window Guild employees have been with them a long time, which speaks well of the organization even if it was sold once. On install day, some new guys came out to get started, and they were also pleasant and professional. Kevin came out a few hours later to provide senior supervision, so this was not at all like having the senior guy sell the work but have nothing to do with getting it done. As it turned out, they needed a second day because we didn't know if my second rebuild was going to need some dryrot work (because it had been leaking) and they didn't want to start that late in the day. They came back in a week and it was just fine. The windows are beautiful to look through and we can already tell they are so much better insulated than our old ones. They are Milgard windows and come with their lifetime warranty, which is better than what Andersen Windows gave us when we used them for other ones.

You can tell they take pride in their work. The installation was clean, precise, and handled with real care given the age of the structure. What stood out most was the follow-through. Vito came back afterward to swap in black hinges to match the look we wanted, no hassle. Overall, great experience from start to finish. One window was an outside pane and the other one was an interior pane. Then they replaced our side kitchen French door with a new one with a doggie door installed... which is heaven sent because I will no longer be their personal door (wo)man The ladies in the office were always friendly and helpful. Our glass shower doors shattered and I was in desperate need of getting them replaced immediately. I reached out to at least seven companies, but none were able to come out to replace them for at least a week, until Angelo responded. Angelo and his wife were able to come out same day and install a brand new shower frame and two new doors. The best part is that the price was extremely affordable. They are one hell of a team and I'd really highly recommend them for anyone looking for some glass or new shower doors. The project only took them about 2 hours.

Brad is a very nice guy, informative and prompt to arrive to measure. Was told possibly 2 weeks to have them fabricated. No update for another 3 weeks until I called him, was told another week or so to complete fabrication. So just like the other negative reviews I felt that it would be the same story for me, another week and so on. This negative review is in no way a criticism of the quality of Brad's work, no doubt he does good work according to the positive reviews, just needs to communicate better, shouldn't be too much trouble to keep customers up to date on a job status.
