In the interim I see that a number of people have left less than positive reviews. The common thread in many of these reviews seems to be office staff, not their work. I'm here to tell you that after five years I called them again to come to my house and give me an estimate to replace five more windows. Both ladies that helped me on the phone during the process were exemplary - extremely polite and helpful. The estimator that came to my house to measure was terrific, and the two installers that came to install the windows after they were manufactured were craftsman and true professionals! We couldn't be happier with the entire experience or the way we were treated by Javco from beginning to end. I will be the first one to say something negative in a review if I feel I was treated unfairly, rudely, or unprofessionally. There was absolutely none of that here, Javco remains the top of my list of window contractors!

We…read moretook our time signing the contract, but eventually we were very pleased with the installation, and the windows look and work great, I think they are Simonton. After a year or so, which included some very heavy rains, we noticed some leaking around the top of one of the windows. We assumed there had been a problem with the installation, so we reached out to AWS. Apparently Judi has retired, and Kyle, her grandson (?) now runs the company. They sent a crew out, climbed up the ladders, pulled off some shingles, and discovered it wasn't a problem with their installation. The original home builders had put the copper flashing on top of the plywood sheathing, not under it. So the leak wasn't their fault, it was a preexisting condition. They replaced the flashing, and installed some additional waterproofing material and caulking, to get us through until we can have a contractor come and fix the root of the problem. Needless to say we felt bad their crew had to come all the way out, and ended up doing work on our house which was outside their original scope. We offered to pay them, but Kyle refused, and insisted he was happy to help us out, even though he wasn't obligated to do it. All in all we had a great experience dealing with them, and next time we need new windows we won't hesitate to call Kyle.

Honestly, it would've been fine either way, but I love that it was a woman. Every step of the way every one was pleasant to deal with and competent at their job. They have a very dialed-in process and communications. Last, but certainly not least, the workmanship was excellent. We love our new windows and they have made our new home and workshop 100% better! Adel, the owner, is one of the most responsive contractors I've worked with. He always answers his phone, follows up, and genuinely cares that everything is done right. The person who came out to assess our situation was Adel, and he was easy to connect to and trust. His answers were always knowledgeable and had reasons. He assessed that two of the windows I was replacing were incorrectly installed in the first place, which did not surprise me because whoever lived here in the 90s was a real do-it-yourselfer with more ambition than skills. So those two needed a "rebuild," but our bay windows were fine with a less expensive "replace." Once I signed the contract, the next person to come out was Kevin and he took very specific measurements and also rang with credibility. I was pleased to learn that many of the Window Guild employees have been with them a long time, which speaks well of the organization even if it was sold once. On install day, some new guys came out to get started, and they were also pleasant and professional. Kevin came out a few hours later to provide senior supervision, so this was not at all like having the senior guy sell the work but have nothing to do with getting it done. As it turned out, they needed a second day because we didn't know if my second rebuild was going to need some dryrot work (because it had been leaking) and they didn't want to start that late in the day. They came back in a week and it was just fine. The windows are beautiful to look through and we can already tell they are so much better insulated than our old ones. They are Milgard windows and come with their lifetime warranty, which is better than what Andersen Windows gave us when we used them for other ones.
