Over five years ago I left Javco a five star review because I had been so happy with them on the several occasions that I had used them up to that point. In the interim I see that a number of people have left less than positive reviews. The common thread in many of these reviews seems to be office staff, not their work. I'm here to tell you that after five years I called them again to come to my house and give me an estimate to replace five more windows. Both ladies that helped me on the phone during the process were exemplary - extremely polite and helpful. The estimator that came to my house to measure was terrific, and the two installers that came to install the windows after they were manufactured were craftsman and true professionals! We couldn't be happier with the entire experience or the way we were treated by Javco from beginning to end. I will be the first one to say something negative in a review if I feel I was treated unfairly, rudely, or unprofessionally. There was absolutely none of that here, Javco remains the top of my list of window contractors! read more

Do not use Javco. Save your sanity unless you long for abuse. Go anywhere else. Please read the other reviews posted about their customer service. The same people are still working there treating customers atrociously.   Here is my experience with Javco. I called to get a bid for a broken pane to a sliding glass door. At the time, I asked for two bids, one for just the broken pane replaced and the other if I wanted the complete door replaced. I then called back to schedule an inside slider replacement bid. So, I was upgrading the original job.   I was told at the time that if I combined all of the work at once that the labor price would be less because they would do it all in one day.   I went to the showroom to view materials and make my selections. This is where my whole experience with Javco went downhill.   The woman who was assisting me was Terry. Helpful, patient with my questions, and assisting me with my choices. Until we got to my quote. She informed me that a mistake had been made and they could not honor the quote that I was given. During my direct conversation with Terry, Angelina rudely jumps into the conversation, stating to me "well that is just not how we do business".   Angelina is condescending, abrasive, and dismissive and should not be working in any position dealing with customer relations.   I had an appointment scheduled at 8am on that I had waited weeks for, which no one showed up to. I dealt with a woman by phone whose name is Carolyn. She is just as discourteous in answer to my questions about my appointment.  Her curt reply was "well I'm sorry that we can not accommodate you at this time. we are scheduling appointments into April. Sorry we can't help with this." A total lack of professionalism all around. read more

I have spent over $30k with Javco over the last few years. Here's what happened- let me start by saying the Angelina at the front desk treats customers as if they are bothering her- I have felt worse than i did before speaking with here every time I've talked to her both on the phone in person... not being talked to kindly can be overlooked- I didn't go there to feel better about myself. First time I worked with Javco they got the size of a large window wrong I and I had to wait for the factory to make the correct size- which set my construction schedule back... lining up contractors to "go" isn't easy- so their mistake ended up delaying the whole project by about 2 months... Regrettably, I came back for more. The second time they gave me a date for delivery- I lined up my contractor and they didn't tell me I was getting a partial order. It was partial in that I was missing a large dbl door AND all of the trim for the windows they had delivered (which took them two deliveries because they forgot a couple of items)- A week later the dbl door showed up along with all the trim for the previous delivery. The door was damaged... why didn't they see the tear in the cardboard? Not sure but they had to take it back for replacement. Then I noticed they didn't deliver the screens for my windows (why didn't they know this?) Another delivery. You might imagine all of their ineptitude resulted in my having to speak with Angelina who is maybe their office manager? several times. She is awful to speak with even when things AREN'T going sideways and worse when they are read more

Javco employees were professional and did an amazing job! Their prices are competitive and products are nice as well. We used them for a shower door and 3 exterior window replacements. I mostly appreciated how they clean up after themselves before leaving the job. read more

There are other options. I'd strongly encourage you to go for any of those. Javco is priced competitively. There are others who are more thoughtful and that's why they're booked out a while. It's worth waiting for good work. These guys totally screwed up the installation of my whole houseful of windows. Rather than just taking ownership and re-doing it, they argued, protested, delayed and even blamed me. They came and sanded the erroneous sealant, hoping I would be happy. No. I'll be happy when I don't see daylight between the window and the wall, when they're installed securely, and they're properly sealed. But, after many calls, letters and visits, I gave up. I'm just offering this as a warning to prospective customers. I'm now left with a $10,000 junky install: - Windows barely nailed into the framing - Leak-prone with wrong sealant used - And therefore it looks terrible. Kelly will try to reassure you that they are under warranty, so what's the big deal? Well, they look terrible; I can still see daylight through some of them and and they wrong caulking looks awful. And who wants to deal with water damage in their house? As you may imagine, this experience has been disappointing and stressful. It was a huge amount of money for something that is a continuing problem and concern. Knowing that the quality of work substandard, more and bigger problems are sure to come. Super disappointed. I have had great service with Javco before but this time has been totally different. On the first install of my shower doors they cracked my shower tile. Then my shower glass doors were measured wrong so they had to reorder after bringing three guys out to try and make it work. (I get it can totally happen with measurements) but Was told if my glass came in sooner they would call and move sooner. Every time I called regarding my job it's like they didn't know what job was mine and confused what job it was. I called for an updated today and the lady who answered the phone was completely rude and was completely annoyed that she had to help me. Super disappointed in customer service all around. read more

Before going to Javco, I wet to North Bay plywood to get an estimate for French patio doors. The customer service was really bad and when asking for help it was like if you were bothering them. I Will never do business with them, horrible experience. That's when I saw Javco Window and Glass on line and decided to give them a try. Went into the store and right away I was treated with great customer service by David and his office team. He was able to show me different doors and ideas for my home. After looking at different doors I ended up purchasing my door with him. He was able to bet the price NBP had gave me and I also hired them to install the doors. When it came to the day of the install his team gave me a call 20 minuets before arrival and were courteous and professional. The nicest and most helpful people ever. I walked in with a window sash that needed balance springs (I had no clue what I was looking for or how to replace them and reinstall the sash---I was prepared to pay to have someone come to my home to do the job). The Javco employees found the right size springs, carefully demonstrated how to do the replacement/reinstall, and didn't even charge me for the parts. I used javco about 10 years ago and I didn't do 2 window at the time in 2004. Now I wish I had done my sliding glass door as the prices have definitely changed over 10 years. I'm going to get 3 bids n decide if to go with javco again. They do have a lifetime warranty that did realize and well established in Napa. Things to consider. read more

4 years ago I had shower glass installed in my newly renovated bathroom. As the years went by, I had no problems. Recently however, the glass door began to hit the other glass panel when the door was open or closed. I called Javco and two of their guys came out. As I had suspected, the glass had began to slip out of the hinge and needed adjustment. Within 15 minutes they had fixed the problem and told me that there was no charge since it was a shower that they installed. I'm very pleased with their work and I've had nothing but positive experiences in dealing with them. read more

We wanted to do a whole house window replacement. We placed an order with David. He would never call me back or responded to our emails. Finally we got our windows and one window wasn't measured correctly, they put huge dings in our Sheetrock and they got caulking everywhere. Our painter had to scrape it off and repaint his work I would not recommend this business. read more

I called Javco to have an estimate done and they seemed less than interested in working with me. They told me that Jason would call me and he never did. When I called them and asked to push the appointment back 15 mins he said "No." Jason told me that they didn't take appointments in Napa (where they are based) after 4pm even though they travel to Santa Rosa up until 7 pm. He was super inflexible and rude, then hung up on me. They don't seem to want my business or my money, so I went to American Windows and they were great. Save your money and don't bother with Javco, they don't seem to need it. read more

While there were a couple of helpful employees I would never do business with Javco again. They are highly disorganized, non-responsive, poor communicators and unsatisfactory in their follow through. A family rental had a broken window and Javco was called on 12/17/14 for an estimate. We told them there were security concerns for the tenant and it needed to be fixed soon. They came out on 12/19 and said we would have an estimate in the next day or so. When we did not receive a return call we called them back the day after Christmas and we got the answering service and were told the staff was off until 1/5 for a 2 week vacation. We were never told of this and the tenant had to wait for the broken window repair. I called them on 1/5 and was told the scheduler was out of the office for two more days and they could not find the estimate. I finally got frustrated and went into the office and was assured they were looking for the estimate. I was told I would get a call back but it never came. I went back in and was told the scheduler would call me back when they found the paperwork. When I finally spoke to someone we found out the glass that we were originally provided as options were in fact not tempered glass and my mother in law had to go into the store and pick new glass. They said they would call us when the glass came in but that call never came. On 1/20/14 I called and spoke to Tina who was helpful and courteous. She told me that the paperwork was missing because the person who did the estimates does not like to turn in paperwork. She said she would get to the bottom of it and call me back. She called back promptly and told me the glass had come in a few days prior and apologized that no one called. She set up the installation for 1/22 at 1130 A.M. I was told the installer would call the tenant on the evening of 1/21 to confirm the installation for 1/22 at 1130 A.M. At 1145 A.M. no one had arrived and I called Javco to learn that the scheduler was reportedly ill on 1/21 so no one had called to confirm. They also told me that the installer was set to arrive at 1:30 P.M. even though I had taken notes at the time of the call. I told her that I was very unhappy because both the tenant and I had taken time off to be there. I told her that I wanted to talk to a manager and she said she would have the installer there in a few minutes which is what occurred. The installer arrived and did a great job with the installation but this transaction was a nightmare. It took nearly 5 weeks to get the windows repaired because of the poor business practices at Javco. Worse yet, no one there really seemed to care and they had several chances to make it right. read more

We called Javco because our dual pane picture window failed. David arrived right on time and was extremely professional. He told us that our window was under warranty from the manufacturer. He gave us all the measurements and info needed to file a claim. When we contacted the manufacturer we were able to answer all their questions with the information David provided. This is pretty simple: I wish I had read the Yelp reviews of Javco before hiring them. While their installers were very nice and the product acceptable, Javco gets an overall F in customer service. I've never dealt with a company before that cared less about integrity and customer satisfaction. Their representative was difficult to work with throughout the planning, selection, and scheduling process and actually lied to me on two different occasions after the fact. Once they'd been paid, difficulty turned to unwillingness. The job was straightforward: a quick, clean, simple installation of some residential windows, and I'm still dealing with headaches 6 months later. I deal with professional contractors daily so I know what's realistic and what isn't. In this case I wanted to give a local outfit based in the city of Napa an opportunity. I regret that decision wholeheartedly and strongly encourage anyone looking for any window/glass work to stay far away from this place. This was one of the most impressive operations we've encountered in a long time. The entire team were very professional and delightful to work with, The installation crew arrived at 8:00am and were done by 10:15am. Dave lead the team for installation and it was impressive. Everyone had a task and performed it perfectly. It was like a bee hive of activities, the most efficient group we've ever seen. The windows look AMAZING! We live in a 1979 mobile home and these windows brought us into the 21st century. Can't stop staring at them. People in our Park are stopping to look and ask, "who did your windows?" Installation of a single pane 22 X 32 inch window took 30 mins to install and cost $200. Some lawyers I know don't even charge that much!

So I received one quote from a glass company that tried to charge DOUBLE what Javco charged. First off Javco saved me money and didn't try to price gouge me which is a total bonus in my book. Also, making the estimate and installation was quick and easy and finally the job was done perfectly. I just read through some of the reviews and am shocked to see customers report some really awful experiences. I have known the owner of Javco for nearly 17 years. I am a real estate broker and when a spring loaded glass screen shattered after slamming into the key left in the front door (during a showing) I immediately called Javco. They were at the property that day to bid and order glass. Owner of property was pleased and I became a forever customer of Javco. They installed all the windows, french doors, and sliding glass doors in my home. Javco is Johnny on the spot when my clients need a repair, bid for broken seals, and replacement windows. The staff is well trained, organized, and very pleasant. They love what they do and care about their customers. The owner is a terrific manager and does get involved directly with the customer to be sure the experience fulfilled the client's expectation. Javco is a pleasure to do business with. read more

I certainly will do business with this company again! I brought in a funky tin picture frame (18" x 20 1/2 ") for them to install a clear mirror in the frame. The frame was not yet set up for a mirror or picture. So, they had to use some creativity to pull it together. I took the project in to Javco on Friday afternoon late and it was promised to me sometime the following week. I received a call early the following Monday for pick up. When I arrived to pick up the frame, I was very delighted with what they had done for me and couldn't wait to hang it. The gentleman at the desk that took care of me, even carried the mirror out to my car without me ever asking. I have bought things from this business in the past, albeit they were always average at best. There is A REASON THEY HAVE ONLY THREE STARS, WHICH IS 60% FYI. This business is suffering from what I can determine to be the we're busy now the economy is booming syndrome so therefore we don't have to be concerned with the customers I came in there and I wanted to get prices on 11 mirrors, spoke with a lady at the front desk asked me what size, I started to give her the size she immediately stopped me and said hold on I'm not ready and then gave her the first measurement at which point she took the first measurement and then said what was your measurement, I began to give her a 2nd new measurement she kind of chided me for giving her that measurement and then proceeded to say I didn't say that at this point, she was more interested in arguing with me. YELP IS FULL OF COMPLAINTS REFERENCING HER. I exited the business and I'm heading to Napa Valley Glass or Vallejo Glass, theyare not the only GAME out there. This business is not worth my time I've encountered them negatively, lazy attempts, condescendingly, rude one time before. I was looking for Milgard part for a window they brag about having all the parts for Milgard but then they don't support the style line version of Milgard Windows this business is highly overrated and it reminds me of a lot of these old money businesses in Napa where the people do not have any accountability I would not use them for Windows, I do those myself but I might use them for a rare part or mirror now I will be using them for 0 so my purchases will go from a couple thousand over the last 15+years to zero now this attitude of course will fail when they have the next big crash which is coming. Horrible to do business with!!! I am so frustrated with their service I think I would rather go without windows in my house than do service with them again!!! I felt like we had to beg for their business & we were the ones that had to follow up! We called to get a sliding glass door put in our house. We had to call numerous times to get them to even come out to the house to measure for the correct size slider. Called them weeks later & they hadn't even ordered the slider for us. Then another few weeks later we finally got an appointment for installation, but they weren't very flexible with their appointment times so we had to reschedule once. I am satisfied with the product itself & the installation. No problems there ..... so far! There was a defect in the screen they installed. They told us they would be back that week to replace it at no additional cost. Never heard from them. Weeks later we finally took the screen down to them to get it fixed. We had to pay for it, but they told us they would give us a "discount" on the price. It took a week to fix it. We had to call to see if it was done. They then gave us the wrong screen door, so we had to take it back. They couldn't find ours so I had to go in the warehouse in back to see if I could find ours! They had put the wrong names on the screens! So our screen was done incorrectly, so I went home without a screen. Here it is, two weeks later & our screen is not done yet!!! Unbelievable!!! The most ridiculous part is when you walk into their store (in Napa), it reflects a motto of "somewhere you can refer your friends to." Seriously?! Never again!!! read more
