It pains me to write a 1 star review. I want to support Napa business, I'm a downtown business owner myself. But I'm tired of paying a lot of money for poor work. We spent $2,400 on this glass shower door for our brand new bathroom and I avoid using the shower because every time we do this is the amount of water that comes out. The technicians that come out are nice, but they did not provide a solution. We had glass shower doors we bought previously for our upstairs shower from Javco and there was never an issue, the doors had a tighter sealed closure. With these Decor glass doors I have to mop up every time we take a shower, I even use the hand shower on the side to start the shower to lesson the water but it still happens. It's our guest bathroom and it's embarrising to explain to guests to mop up or go in after they have showered to mop up the floor. read more

Let me demonstrate this with our experience. The highly skilled professionals at Decor provided an excellent product and superb service during our recent custom shower door purchase. From our beginning encounter with Vickie in the office, we were provided accurate and clear information and recommendations on the shower door system best suited to our needs. Office manager Mike offered further details, and he and Vickie arranged an appointment with the estimator, Billy. Billy was efficient and effective in measuring our shower and using laser technology to develop a precise detail of the installation. As we wanted a frameless shower door, he spec'd brackets and other modifications to create a custom design. We placed our order with Mike and Vickie and were quoted a three to four week delivery time, as COVID affected the supply stream. However, they noted that the time could be shorter, as production was ramping up. And was it shorter! Only nine working days (thirteen calendar days) after our order, the shower door was delivered and fitted. Installers Tommy and Jake did a superb job. The door was a precise fit, mirroring Billy's excellent template. It was so precise, no adjustment was necessary. We'd asked for a towel bar on the fixed glass panel, and it, as well as the other polished stainless steel hardware, was fabricated and installed beautifully. The manufacturer had left out a bracket from the shipment but Mike, who managed the process adroitly from order to installation, had planned ahead for such eventualities and had a supply of the needed part on hand; he drove it out to our home, and we didn't lose a minute on the installation time. As an extra option in our order, we asked Decor to drill holes in the Cambria Stone (quartz) shower walls for a grab bar and a handheld shower bar, and Tommy and Jake did a perfect job; the gear installed easily, with holes the perfect size (they recommended drilling a tad larger than recommended, and their advice was critical, since the manufacturer's recommendation would have been too tight for the manufacturer-supplied stainless steel screws). Like the rest of our encounters with Decor, this highlighted the importance of experience and expertise, the kind you don't get from a big box store staff. Sure, we could have bought an off-the-shelf unit, found someone to install it, and hoped for the best. But do you really want to risk damaging an expensive remodel or ending up with a shower enclosure that sort of fits? If you have a sense of quality, it's worth the upgrade to Decor. Decor recommended Diamond-Fusion coating for the glass doors, and Joe Grayson, owner of NorthBay Diamond-Fusion, installed the coating quickly and efficiently. It has been effective. We've had problems with Napa city water's calcium staining previous shower doors, and the coating lets the shower water bead and run off the new doors, so with proper care (squeegeeing and wiping down the shower) we expect to avoid the past problems. Throughout the process, every Decor staff member we worked with was professional, courteous, and obviously experienced and talented. They knew the products thoroughly, had installed many types and configurations of shower door systems, and were aware of possible pitfalls and how to avoid them. I recently moved to NAPA from Silicon Valley. Somehow I felt very difficult to get hold of local businesses to do the house remodeling. I have to bring my contractors from south bay. But Decor did timely work and they are extremely comfortable to work with. Decor did a very difficult shower door for me. My contractor made the steam room in a difficult neo-angles so the shower door installation is beyond the custom challenge. Decor (I think it was Richard) spent hours measuring and designing the angles of the three panels. Their skillful old craftsmanship and dedication to customer deserve 5 stars! Wow. I have rarely encountered someone as rude as Richard. He was completely dismissive, and refused to measure for anything saying we had to complete the entire project before he could come back (which is not what the company owner told me). He acted like he'd never even heard of the concept of a walk-in shower, and was so unbelievably rude that I will definitely not use this company. We ordered shower doors through Decor Shower and Glass and they were great to work with - including for installation. When they came out to measure for the shower, I had them them also measure my nightstands and ordered glass to put on top of them to protect the wood. I would work with them again. Rich came over to put a Sweep on the bottom of my shower door and adjusted the door. When he was done, the door was squeaking. I said to him, the door was squeaking. In a very loud and in your face response he said "Are you saying I did that! He was also a bit snappy with his helper. He came back a 2nd time to put new gaskets on the door hinges. When he left I noticed the shower door wouldn't shut completely and there was now a 3/4 " gap between the door and the stationary glass such that water would easily spell out onto the hardwood floors. He didn't say anything to me about that when he left and I thought maybe he didn't notice it. I drove over to his business to tell him about that and he said he was aware of the gap. What type of repairman leaves the job worse than when he came and doesn't even say anything about it? read more

I had an appointment scheduled today between the hours of 11 and 12 PM. Around 1230 I started to were going to show up as it was already 30 minutes behind schedule. We contacted the company to check in on the service mans whereabouts. Was told he was running late and would be there at 1:00 pm. I decided not to wait as I had other things to do. I just don't get it, if the repair man was running late wouldn't you think that a call would have been made to inform us. If you need a new window or shower door, this is the place to go. Odd that nobody has reviewed Decor before. I needed a shower door and first priced Home Depot doors with the idea of doing it myself. I got a better door and a great price on installation from Decor. Their prices are very reasonable and service is great. I also had them replace a double pane window in my house and the price was the best I have found so far in Napa. This local business deserves all the praise it can get!!! read more

I am not sure how this company is still in Business. I felt like I had to practically beg them to come out and measure a couple windows I needed replaced. After a couple no shows they finally showed up. The guy that came was not very friendly or personable. As I was talking to him about my window needs I started wondering if he had any idea what he was doing. He completed the measure and told me I would have an estimate in a couple days. We had Decor fit a new shower door for us after an alteration. They did a great job. After they came out to measure it, it was ordered and fitted the next week. The job was very well done and looks great. These guys are very busy so we did have to wait a little but if they are busy it seems to be a good sign that they are good.
