The Naples Soap Company is the creation of nurse turned entrepreneur Deanna Wallin. Deanna had a lifelong struggle with eczema and psoriasis and her daughter also had eczema. Deanna's experimentation with natural and organic remedies led her to launch her own skin care company. This 300 foot store in Tin City was Naples Soap's first store and they have now grown to a total of 11 statewide including one on nearby Fifth Street South. Although they specialize in sensitive skin types their products are for all types of skin. Items sold in the store include soaps, body butters, sea salt scrubs, bath bombs, moisturizers, hair bars, hats to protect your face, and home decor items. I have people who suffer from eczema in my family and I know what a difficult problem this can be to solve without using damaging corticosteriods. Type eczema into their website and 44 products come up including a $99 eczema kit that launched in 2017. The Naples Soap Company offers a more natural approach to trying to remedy this skin problem. I like how the products were formulated by a nurse and the aroma wafting from the store is lovely but I find the products to be very expensive. A bar of glycerin soap that I checked out was $3 more a bar than a similar one I always pick up at Basin in Disney Springs. If you have eczema or other skin conditions and it works for you I am sure you will pay any price but at what these products cost I would need a sample to see if they really work before I bought any. I don't have sensitive skin so I can be a little less particular about what I slap on it. When I visited they were having a lot of buy one get one half off sales but even so, one small gift bag of products was $30. Customer service was excellent and they have a sink set up so you can try the scrubs. I wouldn't turn down a gift from here, I just couldn't be enticed into purchasing one for myself. read more

This is a store that is located inside Tin City. It mostly has bath and scented products and some other things. They have a bath bomb eye catching display that is really nice. The colors. The shapes of these bath balls make you want to come in. They look like big icecream scoops. A real eye catcher. The place is pricey. I was intersecting in there natural hand made soaps. That was was I was told by one of the workers. Each soap is eight something,, ouch. Well I like lavender and I found diferent lavender mixture there and they all smell so good. The store has other little things around like scented oils and things to out your soap in .its a cute store. Very clean and the employees are helpful and very nice. Independently owned store with a few locations including one in nearby Tin City. Fun bath products including some knick knacks and funny signs. Bath bombs galore! Many, many handmade soaps and lotions. Not impressed with the sugar/salt scrubs. I tried one of them and didn't like the way it made my skin feel. Service was phenomenal. The sales associate was knowledgeable about the ingredients used in the various soaps, bombs and scrubs. I didn't try any of the lotions. Prices were average except for the scrubs. As someone who uses salt/sugar scrubs on a daily basis, in my opinion the price points were ridiculously expensive. They didn't do anything for me and the one I tried didn't smell great either. They have pretty soap dishes in unique shapes and styles as well as soap pads. I like this store and like I said, the service is very good. read more

I enjoy stopping at Naples Soap Co. when I'm in town. I also think it's pretty cool that they have other fun locations around Florida. I love smelling the scrubs since I love scrubs so much. We all love the products as they are amazing. Linda is top notch there and works extremely hard. She has the BEST service and goes out of her way to find what we need. She and Niva both are amazing. I hated bar soap till I started using Naples Soaps bar soap, now I don't want anything else. The body oil is also one of our favorites. I enjoy day tripping to Naples from Broward County every so often, and the Tin City location is usually our first stop. I love the light fresh scent upon entering. I have allergies and asthma, so the fact that I can walk into this establishment without sneezing or wheezing, is an excellent sign. It's not an assault on the senses like most of the typical soaps/body care/ & scent shops. I've been to this location about five times and each time I've been greeted by friendly staff that are both personable and fairly knowledgeable. I've gotten the eczema/psoriasis soap and it works well so far. I've also enjoyed the clean fresh feeling of their shampoo and conditioning soaps for my hair. It leaves a clean feeling and a mild scent. Recently picked up the Beach Sea Salt Soap and it smells like heaven on earth to me. I can't emphasize enough, how much I love the products I've tried thusfar from this company. Words to describe this establishment: beachy, clean, fresh, crisp, airy...need I say more? We had a very pleasant experience here today. Purchased several great products that I can't wait to try out. The sales girl was very sweet and helpful. I loved all of the products they carried and would have purchased tons more except the prices were pretty high. I would have purchased several of the body scrubs if they were about half the price. $30 is a bit unrealistic for one scrub. The loofah at $15 and the soap bar sampler at $12 was fair though. I bought a whole bunch of soaps and shampoo bars because the sales girl said they use all natural ingredients. Sodium Lauryl sulfate is not natural - it's a harsh chemical used in cleaning products. Just because they interject the word "coco" in there doesn't mean it's not SLS, which I'm allergic to. I think the soaps are natural... but now I'm not sure. Don't be fool by "all natural". Note: Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) is a good cleaning product, but is a skin irritant. It can cause damage to the outer layer of skin by disrupting the function of skin proteins and causing itchy, cracked, and dry skin. In shampoos, this ingredient can increase risk of scalp irritation, stinging eyes, and tangled, split, frizzy, and dull hair. read more

My wife really liked their bath bombs and eczema facial soap. We don't know much, or pay attention about the "good and bad" ingredients in the soaps so I don't know if their soaps are "good" but based on strictly just going in and buying soaps that smelled great, it was fun. Untrained store staff and completely lying to customers. I went in and asked if the shampoo bars has sulfates. I was told no. I asked if any of them had alcohol. I was told no. So I purchase several and on immediate use my hair felt stripped and disgusting. I go and look on their website and they have both sulfates and alcohol. It's just they use sodium coco sulfate instead of SLS. In case you weren't aware there is almost no difference and both are incredibly harsh. They also use alcohol which I'm aware is cosmetic grade but is still very drying. I'm incredibly disappointed as I like to shop local but I refuse to be lied to and use products that will slowly destroy my hair. I will say the girl at the store was very friendly but it was clear she was lied to by whoever trained her. This place is supposed to be clean beauty but that's a lie! I'm returning my purchases and avoiding this place from now on. read more

Customer service here is TERRIBLE! I have never been treated so poorly in my life. The two girls working were beyond unprofessional to me and my friends. I have always enjoyed going into Tin City but when I visited this trip, the people working were obviously new and treated me like I needed to have a babysitter through the store and I left feeling very uncomfortable! They did not know any products or how to help me at all. I tried to ask for gift wrapping but they just stared at me like a lost puppy. Today I was down in Naples, Florida on 5th Avenue and noticed the new store. I was greeted but then followed around. The older, blonde woman and I looked at some loofah with a stick and I told her that I could look for myself as she was pulling out each one of them and that's where it went downhill. She looked at me, said "FINE" and THREW each loofah with the stick back in their spot. Unacceptable. She proceeded to continue to follow me around the store, looking at me like I was going to steal something. I have darker toned skin, and was dressed casually, but there is no reason to follow me around the store like some criminal. I joked with the other employee about a 5th Avenue discount. The blonde lady storms back and says to me, and I kid you not, "No, not for YOU." I was just making a joke! Good grief! While shopping with my mom at Tin City, I saw this shop and convinced her to go in since I love all natural products and nice soaps. The two young women behind the counter never offered to help us and just kept staring at us as if we would steal something. We were the only two in there for a few minutes and discussed some of the products wondering what they did loud enough for staff to hear, but they still never offered any help. I finally asked about the eye cream as the sign says: Eye Cream $16. No mention of what it is supposed to help with, when to put it on, etc. The one girl kinda looked at me like I was crazy but did answer my question and suggested a sampler. I tried the sampler, but there was no sanitary way to do so. No cotton swabs or kleenex. Weird. So I picked one up that looked un-touched to buy. I then unscrewed the lid to see if there was a safety seal to make sure it hadn't been tampered with. Nope- no safety seal, no sticker on the side to tell if it's ever been opened, and it looked completely different than the sample. Then the other employee started after me, "You know there are samples right there if you want to try anything." You would think I just tried to burn the store down the way she spoke to me. At this point several other people were in the store and turned to look at her and me. Sorry, but put seals on your products to I can automatically tell it has not been tampered with and I wouldn't have examined the $16 eye cream. Then I hear her say to the other girl, "Really, I just don't understand that," as if I wasn't right there. Anyway, embarrassed and grossed out, I bought the eye cream and my mom bought about $75 worth of products she had been planning on buying. The eye cream sits unused as I am disguised to try it. It is pretty easy to put a little vertical sticker on each product or a interior seal to avoid products being tampered with. I will not be back even if I do appreciate the pretty smelling soaps- plenty of others out there! read more
