First time here, my 25 year old grandson and I. We are chasing the "perfect" pizza. We haven't found it yet but have come darn close a few times. First impression when we walked in was it was clean, it was bright, and it seemed to be well organized. We were waited on immediately. While we were not given any recommendations, I found the service quite friendly and good. We looked over the huge, and I underline huge, menu, and we each decided on the two slice daily special for under 10 bucks each. While the pizza was OK, it was nothing memorable. I was quite surprised that on their cold sandwich menu that their Italian grinder (sub) only had salami, ham and provolone ... no mortadella, cappy or prosciutto. Lettuce, toms, oil, vinegar, oregano and mayo were optional. All in all, it was okay but a pretty run of the mill place. Would I go back? Thursday, June 12, 2025 was the first time I ordered a delicious pizza from Napoli Pizza and Pasta. I ordered the Napoli Special Pizza (16" pizza) for lunch. It was the best pizza I've eaten in long time. The seasonings in the sauce was perfect. The quality and a taste of the entire pizza was excellent. Well this place has great reviews for the pizza so I must be a glutton for punishment lol I'm gonna give it a try will most definitely let you know how it is and looks. My last post on the pasta dish is lil harsh but exactly how I felt about it. I could have made it from home so much better. I have found out that in this area that they use fresh garlic which is ok unless u burn it then that destroys all of it I personally love fresh garlic sautéed lightly not burnt so I'd say plz leave it out. Ok I'll ck back in about 45 min well off to a bad start go to pick up pizzas 5 min later than what was said and still have a 10-15 min wait. Let's hope that they are as good of a slice that u use to get in NY. Niki and I got married in Rome. After our wedding we headed south and visited Naples, Capri, and Pompeii. On our honeymoon we enjoyed some of the best pizza either of us had ever tasted. Today I stopped by Napoli Pizza and Pasta to get a taste of their pizza. I walked in and took a seat. My server took my drink order which was delivered promptly. I ordered a medium Napoli special. I scanned the news and enjoyed my soda while I waited for my pizza. I found my wait a bit long but when my pizza arrived it looked delicious. This one is the best kind of mom & pop as it wasn't only good food, but the service was great as well. I dropped by here with my son and daughter-in-law as she had a hankering for calamari and the Yelp search revealed this place. Small but still sizeable inside, you are warmly greeted and told you can sit anywhere you like (a plus for me). After choosing our spot we were taken care of very quickly and very well by a young waitress whose name I can't recall, but she did a fabulous job. She took our orders, keep our drinks filled to the brim, and was personable as well. For dinner my son had they pepperoni pocket (or something to that effect) while the in-law had their greek salad. Both were very happy with their selections. I, on the other hand, had their Stromboli. Not only was this the biggest Stromboli I have ever had, it was packed almost perfectly with meats and cheese - an even distribution that was truly something to experience. The Stromboli was so large, I would offer to you that you could easily feed 3 to 4 people off of a single one - the thing was a beast. Small but interesting place for pizza. You can peer into the kitchen from some of the tables and see then knocking out pizza prep. We had the garlic knots, which were very good, fresh dough and plenty of garlic and butter. May have been the star of our visit. Also ordered, a sausage pizza, which was tasty, good crust base and lots of cheese. The shop located in a strip mall amongst a Winn Dixie, Texas Roadhouse and Walmart is a about in the middle of the box storefronts. Nice folks working and fast. Long travel day and my wife and I were craving Italian, just a good old fashion meatball sub and some shrimp pasta for my wife. They did not disappoint! Even the garlic knots came out fresh, warm and full of garlic and butter. The meatball sub was served hot with just the right amount of marinara, cheese and the bread was perfect, lightly crisp on the outside and soft underneath. The shrimp were large and plentiful for the dish and the white wine marinara sauce was delicious. Napoli Pizza N Pasta- Beachside Melbourne- 4- stars. "The thing that keeps a business ahead of the competition is excellence in execution." -- Tom Peters As we regularly dine at Napoli's I figured it was high time I proferred up a review all professional and like. Located on the beach-side of Melbourne (not to be confused with Melbourne Beach), tucked somewhat beside Walmart is where one will find this gem of a regular eating establishment. As part of the Slice family of Pizza joints, one would expect them to be cookie-cutter production in all they spew forth from the oven, but that is not the case here. As I have mentioned over and over it's all about execution people. As this is one of my go-to spots for a quick Italian-American meal, I was well known to the staff and was greeted like family. I asked my server for a Sausage and Broccoli Rabe sub sandwich, an order of Fettuccine Alfredo and one mushroom pizza. To be honest, I did not know that they were part of the Slice Pizza group, but that does explain the quality of their ingredients. While they are not bottom of the barrel type, they are not top-shelf either, but rather stuck firmly in the entry-level area. What does that mean? If one uses USDA grades as an example, think Standard which is one step up from Canner grade and two steps down from Prime. One would think with standard grade ingredients the victuals would taste sub-par. One bite into the Sausage and Broccoli Rabe Sub and I immediately knew that was not the case. For starters, while they may use standard grade everything else, they make their own bread in the back and it is awesome. This bread was the perfect sandwich roll with a slight break to the crust, a nice tear in the bread and a wonderful chewiness that was indeed scrumptious. Now, you put a well-prepared rabe on just about anything and I am scarfing it down. I just love that stuff and this was executed flawlessly. As if that wasn't enough, the spicy Italian Sausage just sent this over the top. It was cooked to perfection and just spicy enough to slap your taste buds around with a hearty, "Hey, Youse guys! Wake up!" Next up on my epicurean journey was their Fettuccine Alfredo. The fettuccine was cooked to the perfect al dente and very flavorful all by its self. Now, you smother perfectly cooked and tasty Fettuccine with a tangy Alfredo sauce and you are speaking my language. This incredibly creamy sauce had a nice tang to it that gave it a nice finish on the palate. I know the sauce is from a can, but with this execution, it was as if the sauce had participated in an act of Hypergamy. Staying with the theme of execution, we come to the final item to be sampled, the Mushroom Pizza. The mushrooms may have come out of a huge can along with the sauce, but their dough is original and incredible. Like the bread, it is obviously made fresh on-site and it is some of the tastiest pizza dough I have ever had. It is like no other I have experienced. The perfect thickness, the perfect amount of crunch to chew ratio and the flavor was truly unique. As with the previous items, as I have said time and time again, this pizza was made with industrialized toppings, yet executed flawlessly and so tasted extraordinary.
