Do not judge a book by its cover. This place doesn't look like much but trust me the food makes up for it. The restaurant is in a run down shopping center and needs some TLC so that's the only reason I didn't give it five stars. I ordered the hot pork bulgogi with rice and yaki mandu and it was absolutely amazing. It was spicy but not over the top heat. The flavor of the pork was great, the white rice helps with the heat as well. The yaki mandu were great little flavor bombs. I can only speak for the ramen, as it is the only thing I go here for! Best in town, hands down! Keep in mind that the broth is different from the Japanese ramen that you may be familiar with. I thought I wasn't a fan of ramen until I came here. The service is very homey. The servers are very nice. Though, it may get rough during heavy traffic hours. Tried this place out with co-workers and I personally wasn't too pleased. It lacked in seasoning and actual Korean spice. After spending a few days in Korea, their food is hard to forget because of their unique combination of spices with certain foods. I had their Korean wings and it didn't taste anything like Korean wings, it almost tasted like Pizza Hut wings, but double fried. For my main course I had bulgogi, and even that lacked in seasoning. Overshadowed, and as one of the few Goldsboro Asian restaurant options, Narita was mythically shrouded in a cloud of food mystery, speculation, and rumor. I had heard mixed reviews, but had yet to talk to anyone that had actually eaten there. So we went rogue and tried it for lunch one balmy Thursday afternoon. Narita features bulgogi, sushi, and udon soups - I went with the beef bulgogi lunch that came with salad, a flavorful, generous portion of 5-medium spice bulgogi, rice, and 6 California rolls for a reasonable $7.99. I'd love to try the udon soup on a cold, winters day and coincidently is what my friend Chelsie ordered. Narita suffers from an unfortunate location - the corner of Berkley and New Hope in a random shopping center with Oasis Spa, a martial arts dojo, and a tobacco shop. That doesn't deter me - I will eat here again, especially since it's so close to my house. read more

Really good bulgogi! I've tried a few places in goldsboro, but this place is hands down the best place to get bulgogi, and I also love their yakisoba with chicken. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but some of the best food and cute environment inside! I really recommend the egg rolls too because they are homemade. :) read more

This little gem of a restaurant is tucked away in a not-so-great location. I say that, not because it's in a bad neighborhood, but because they just aren't very visible. If they were, I'm sure business would be booming, because the food is terrific. If you've never tried bulgogi (basically, it's Korean BBQ), do yourself a favor and go to Narita for lunch. They have great lunch specials that include beef, chicken or pork bulgogi. I'm not a fan of the pork, never tried the chicken, but OMG the beef bulgogi is out of this world! They also have some decent sushi options and really good prices. I don't really go here for the sushi - we normally just order a California Roll as an appetizer - but its pretty good. read more

Narita is quaint but very homey. Its ran by a family of five. They are very warm and welcoming and provide you with quality service. Be careful trying to find this place as waze sent me to the right area but wrong side of the building. Its alittle hard to get to but has ample parking. Make sure you walk into the fron door the door on the side is locked, so no they arent closed just walk around five more steps and you will see the front door. I had beef yakisoba. It reminded me alot of getting yakisoba at night on gate 2 street in okinowa...yes that means its very good. I couldnt eat the whole plate....they definitely give you enough to feed you. All in all it was worth the 40 min drive I made to meet a friend there for lunch. read more

This place was not good at all. The service was bare minimum. The sushi tasted stale somehow and the Yaku-mandu was hardly anything to even eat. I couldn't even keep it down. My son and I heard that the ramen was good but it was not at all. The broth tasted watered down, the noodles were completely over cooked. My daughter loves bulgogi and so we ordered that from the kids meal and it was bought out on a plastic plate that you have at home where you have Dora the explorer on it but that's besides the point. Great little "hole in the wall" Korean restaurant. My absolute favorite dish are the ribs. They are thinly sliced peices of marinated short ribs served with sticky rice and a side salad. So delicious! The ginger dressing for the salad is so tasty I could probably drink it from the bottle. I am also a huge fan of the Bibimbap. I do not know exactly what is in it but I can never pick one meal over the other so I get both the ribs and Bibimbap. Half gets saved for lunch the next day. The wait staff, as mentioned in other reviews, are nice but not 5 star staff. I don't go for the staff though I go for the wonderful food. We will continue to make the 35 minute, one way, drive about once a week because the place is worth it. read more

I'm a huge fan of the Beef Bulgogi. I've tried the teriyaki salmon and teriyaki chicken but I'm not a fan since teriyaki sauce in the mainland tastes different from the teriyaki sauce that you can find in Hawaii. My husband and I come here for lunch at least 2 times a month because we enjoy the fast and friendly service and we love the spicy Beef Bulgogi and ginger dressing! read more
