Okay people... not sure how long this Poke Bowl restaurant has been here in Goldsboro, but because its here I had to try it out. I've had Poke in Hawaii and the different versions in other states. So I was pretty eager to see Goldsboro's version. The restaurant is fairly spacious considering they're still new so traffic hasn't picked up yet. The one thing that threw me off, is that its usually a Hawaiian native or Pacific islander running/owning a Poke Restaurant. Never judge a book by its cover though, right? So I still gave it a chance, knowing I could not be bias. Anyway, I chose a Poke Bowl, but no rice. I guess, technically, its considered a Poke Salad. Either way, it was a Large Poke Salad, two scoops of Spicy Salmon and one scoop Spicy Tuna. The base was spinach, the toppings were green onion, sweet corn, seaweed salad, nori (shredded seaweed), edamame, cucumber, and shredded carrots. The sauce was wasabi aioli. They were a little stingy with the spinach and somewhat with the protein, but the sauce, wooow!!! Packed a little punch, but not burn my tongue. It satisfied the craving for poke, nooow on to try their boba tea. My next visit will be trying to Poke Burrito or maybe a set bowl with a boba tea. Check them out people! read more

They then mix it with the rice giving it a warm texture instead of placing it on the side. What's with all the extra toppings like corn, CHICKEN, etc?! This place is a FANTASTIC addition to Goldsboro! I am so happy when a breath of fresh air comes into the food scene of Goldsboro. It is so nice to have options! Tonight we tried some poke salad bowls and poke burritos. The poke burrito was wrapped in the perfect amount of rice and nori! They didn't skimp on the spicy tuna or avocado either. Always glad when I get a plentiful helping of my favorite things. We did knock one star down for the salad, the lettuce was a bit limp and the chicken lacked flavor aside from the sauce we put on it. This place is amazing. The portions are very generous and the food is so fresh. If you haven't tried a poke bowl and you like sushi this is a must. Look at the menu in the pictures and you'll see that you have amazing customization and some very healthy and clean eating options. This is hands-down the best fast food in Goldsboro and much more flavorful than clean Eatz. You can call your order in or you can walk up to the door and place it. I really like this place. I've been to plenty of other Poke places and this is one is just as good as the others. I thought the prices were extremely fair, and honestly on the lower side which is amazing. The protein options all tasted incredibly fresh and the two people working were really nice. This place can get pretty crowded so I was interested to see what they do/ how they handle the crowd and long lines and I was impressed. I didn't wait more than 10 mins. She had us circle what we wanted on the menu and then they prepped everything. They do offer a military discount which is great considering a lot of places are starting not too. I ended up trying a bowl and a "sushi burrito" and both were excellent. I think the bowl is more worth it for the price however eating the sushi burrito was kind of fun. I can't eat the ice cream or drink the boba tea, but the person behind me ordered it and the rolled ice cream is a HUGE portion. It also was incredibly fast for them to get and they said it tasted amazing. I've been around Goldsboro a long time and sadly a lot of "unique/ different" places like this don't stay open long but I'm really hoping this isn't the case. Probably the best poke we've had! The portions are always really good and the ingredients always seem fresh. We've never had a bad experience and even when we've come in embarrassingly late, the staff have always been kind and accommodating. We go here sometimes several times a week and I've noticed a lot of prior come in sorbitol for their Boba. I can't do the texture of it, but my kids LOVE it. They've tried several flavors with no complaints yet. I hope they always stay in the area and if we have anything to do with it, they will (because at this point, we're nearly single-handedly paying their lease )! read more

Super simple bowl and I gotta say I'm impressed with this Goldsboro poke place. I've had poke all over Hawaii, Cali and Vegas. This place wasn't bad. I'm overall happy with the taste of my bowl and the boba (or bubble) tea I got. The 4 star rating is solely based off the amount of fish they had per scoop. If they increased the amount or just their scoop size I would give them another star. The price wasn't bad. My only recommendation for them is to know their audience. If they created a pre-made menu it would help out their customers who aren't familiar with the concept. The place is decent. The restaurant looks clean and nice and somewhat like a Togo place but they do have some tables and chairs to sit and dine in. And we have to fill out a form to pick out our meat fill in, toppings and stuff.after fill out the form then we hand in to the staff and they will make it for us. Food is great. This restaurant is a nice addition to Goldsboro. I was excited to try a poke bowl and even though I didn't get the traditional raw salmon bowl, I was satisfied with my tempura shrimp bowl over sushi rice. My bowl was also topped with lettuce, carrot, cucumber, sweet corn, avocado ($1 extra), creamy white sauce, shredded nori, and sweet chili sauce! The customer service was great, even though there was a tiny language barrier. Everything was as I ordered and the bubble tea is as delicious as I remember it being. This place is easily one of my favorite places to eat! You get to choose your toppings and things just like you would at a subway or chipotle (to give you an idea of how ordering works) and they prepare it in front of you. The ingredients are always fresh and the staff makes an effort to keep everything clean and help move the line along smoothly. This is a newer restaurant to the Goldsboro area and it is certainly a hidden gem. I've stuck with the bowl each time I've gone and I've never been disappointed. I try to tweak my order just a little bit each time to find what I like the best, and every time I've been very satisfied both with the taste and portion size. I've only had poke once before, so I can't speak to the authenticity as one other reviewer did. But I will say all the ingredients were very fresh and super tasty! The staff was friendly. My order was completed very quickly, and I had one of their Boba drinks, which I haven't ever before. Hard to describe, like a sweet fruity milky texture drink, and again it was VERY good! As someone who has grown tired of the typical choices for food in Goldsboro,let me tell you about how excited I was when I heard we were going to get a Poke place. Something I would usually have to drive to Raleigh for. We went on a Saturday night, which they close at 8pm a little earlier than most places but it was semi full with people. Both the ladies behind the counter greeted us and told us to grab menus that were located next to the soda machines to customize our bowls. Both employees were super kind and ready to answer any questions we had about the menu. My boyfriend and I both got bowls and honestly both impressed with the taste. The boba peach tea was so good as well! We agreed it was a little expensive but worth giving a try if you've never had it before. The restaurant was clean and well laid out. It was a bit chaotic and the staff seemed completely overwhelmed and poorly trained. I credit this to it still being newly opened. It wasn't clear how to order as the staff was passing out 2 different sets of menus. The line was more of a mob. The food was lovely but things were left off of all of our orders. I noticed that there was also no tofu or anything like that to substitute as a protein for vegetarians. The menu isn't clear about mixing proteins although we have heard of other people doing that. They have other drinks besides the bubble tea but they aren't listed on any of the menus and neither are their prices. The food itself it lovely. Every thing is fresh and tasty. And despite the chaos it was ready fairly quickly. I would recommend this restaurant to others and we will be going again. read more
