Everything about this place is amazing. Go for a rocket launch - exceptional experience. Also highly suggest the upgraded bus tour as you see more launch sites and get out of the bud a few times.

A great place to take any space enthusiast or the family to learn more about NASA. We didn't get here till end of the day and got to park for free (normally $10 per car). We did not go inside the park as the ticket counters were closed and people were leaving. We went to the gift store and information building which was very nice because the air conditioning was on and the heat + humidity outside was unbearable. Picked up some souvenirs and had lots of fun discovering from their display kiosks.

I always thought this was going to be a cheesy experience because the Houston center is not that good, however I got really impressed with all the good things, energy, videos and pieces of history into the KENEDY SPACE CENTER in cape canaveral. It was my first time there and my wife and I uad a blast with another couple of friends, all their demonstrations, shows, flashbacks and every part of the tour were phenomenal experiences altogether.

Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Tours

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more The Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Tour (which I will shorthand simply to the Lighthouse Tour) has been one of those "backyard adventures" I've been wanting to go on for the longest time. Eventually, I was able to partake in said adventure with my friends, Nate and Chops. Afterwards, I have to say that even for a probably "one-and-done" for a tour, it is definitely worth every penny spent. This tour was everything I wanted and loved, and it delivered. First and foremost, the actual business building for the Lighthouse Tour is nothing you have to worry about. According to all the tours, you will meet up at the Sands Space Museum and take a charter van to multiple locales on the tour. Before we get to the actual tour I partook in, it should be noted there are numerous tour options such as the museums alone, the lighthouse alone, or the full experience. Prices range from $35 (lighthouse only) to $65 (full tour). I went with the latter which includes numerous museums, historic launch sites, and the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse. It should also be noted that the more you do, the longer the tour. The full tour is four hours long. Please take note the things you need to check before the tour such as wearing shoes if you plan to walk up the five floors of the lighthouse, small bags allowed with small closed-contained foods and drinks only. Finally, you need to fill out a clearance check as all the stops, with the exception of Sands Space Museum, is on the Cape Canaveral Air Force Military Base. With those in mind, the full tour - known as the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse and Space Flight Tour - is all the stops if possible. I say "if possible" because some stops may be closed for maintenance or upgrades. For us, The Sands Space Museum, where the tour stars, was closed for renovation. However, the museum is free and not on protected property so I can go back and check it out. We visited four different launch sites, three museums, and the Cape Canaveral lighthouse. I personally loved the lighthouse and Hanger "A" which housed some of the larger historic rockets and jets that have helped bring NASA and the U.S. military where it is now. I personally was surprised that the first drone was used as target practice. I can't really detail everything I saw or this would become one my longest reviews, longer than I usually do. Just know that, like I said earlier in the review, for a possible one-and-done, it is worth every penny. However, if you really want to make sure the tour is a one-and-done, pay for the full tour. You'll have enough time to visit everything within the four hours, and if anything is closed, they'll take you to the Canaveral National Seashore, which was amazing because it is literally almost "untouched" by tourism. I will give this tour four out of five stars. I am not going to say consistency will earn the fifth star because only a super fan will take this tour numerous times... or work for the tour company. I will say that the lacking star has to do with the price. It can be high overall especially if stops are closed for some reason.

Great experience an excellent adventure for all in the family. Make sure add to you agenda.read more

Even with that being said, it's still very much worth going at least once in your lifetime. This is where history is made. SpaceX and Amazon have property here as well. This is where Sterling satellites are launched from. This is where the space shuttle takes off from and yes there are viewing platforms where you can obtain tickets to view a rocket launch. The most part the majority of everything you view and all of the tours take place inside very air conditioned buildings and adequately air conditioned tour buses. It is limited where you are allowed to get out and just wander for obvious reasons. This is a working control center. It was definitely worth the $71 for entry. Pro tip, if you wish to take the behind the scenes tour you need to do this and schedule it at least 3 weeks I had to time of your visit. I purchased my ticket for it 2 months out. I get there early they own at 09:00 and I was able to park up front, therefore not losing my vehicle iykyk lol even with that being said, the parking is not nearly as chaotic as anything that is Mickey Mouse land related. A lot of experiences for families and children. History is well documented here.

This place is a separated into multiple buildings (which I really like for crowd control) and has so many cool and unique ways of experiencing and learning about space and the NASA program. There's even a bus tour that you can take to another area that has more to see. We never even got to this. It seems there is some extra stuff you can pay for, like an astronaut-like experience, which I definitely would like to do on the next trip here. Outside of this, there are exhibits, shows, immersive experiences, various places to eat (including a Starbucks), and much more! We also got to see a rocket launch, which is something to scratch off the bucket list! They had a host who helped to guide you on where to look, and also prepared you with the Countdown. He was out there way before the shuttle actually took off, but only made announcements here and there. I think this viewing could be really enhanced if they were to add music as people are waiting for the launch, or even an audio that plays on a loop of fun facts and related things. The last thing we did before everything closed, was an IMAX film at their IMAX theater. We took note of what time it was starting and made sure to get there in time for this film. The issue is that it was SO so incredibly boring, which I did not expect.. after 30 minutes while it was still going, we decided to leave. I do hope that they update this to show more guest friendly films that capture audiences attention. I would definitely return and plan to whenever I am in the area again!

Of course wildlife isn't there simply to perform for humans. It's unreasonable to expect any guide to guarantee what or how many species you'll see on a tour. That said, Captain Barry diligently sought out delightful experiences with local wildlife. He found us dolphins hunting fish near bridges and the lock. Manatees foraging on the edges of the canal. Pelicans 'dive-bombing' for fish; herons and more. We also got additional information about local history and the port. The 4-6 person boat is clean, comfortable and well captained. The next day, we sailed to the edge of restricted Kennedy Space Center waters, and watched SpaceX launch a rocket deploying satellites into space. We'd seen a rocket launch last year at the Kennedy Space Center, on the main grounds. This Launch Tour was a MUCH better way to watch. SO much more comfortable and a much better view. After the launch, we expected to go right back to the dock, but Capt. Barry took the time to seek out more dolphins. They came much closer to the boat today than yesterday. So gorgeous. We highly recommend this tour company.

We flew down a day before and Orange Transportation picked us up from our hotel and took us to Port Canaveral. (Driver was on time and very friendly.) The driver even allowed a stop to pick up cases of pop and water for the cruise. Payment was due once we arrived. We paid our balance and some of the gratuity that was due on the return. Once back from our cruise the driver (a different driver) called me to make sure we would be outside. He quickly arrived and loaded our luggage. He drove us back to the airport, where he told me the balance due. The amount was incorrect and he called his boss (who was our first driver) so I could discuss the mistake. While on the phone the owner stated that I did not pay any money toward the gratuity, but only gave him the exact amount. I know that was not possible because the exact amount was $252 and no adults had any singles. That was the reason we decided to pay some toward the gratuity. I did not have the energy or patience to debate back and forth with him. We paid the amount requested and headed on our way. They had great service, however I refuse to patronize a business that is dishonest!

The captain (Ian) is very knowledgeable and able to tell us exactly what we can and can't keep and has been doing this kind of stuff pretty much his whole life. He found us some great spots, and went above and beyond during the trip. Highlight of the trip was when he helped us snag a large bull shark! They were great about telling us what we needed to do, but letting us actually do it. We actually hooked a second one, but it ended up snapping the line on that one. They filleted what we caught as soon as we got back to the pier and we were able to get it cooked right away at the restaurant at the pier, and took home the rest of what we weren't going to eat. This was my first experience deep sea fishing. This was, by far, the best fishing trip I could have asked for and set a VERY high bar for any future fishing trips to follow in the future.

They also had a cooler with water and Gatorade for passengers. We saw sea turtles, dolphins, red fish, and many native birds. They also had a fish tank and woukd let the children interact with them. I would recommend this to anybody from out of town or any local resident. Lots of information for any age group. They were also very helpful to a group member who got sea sick. A+ in my book! Looking forward to going on the fishing charter they have!
