The front desk staff is cold, but to be honest I kind of expect that nowadays. I've seen other reviews saying that there is low privacy which is true, the walls are thin thin thin. So I would definitely keep that in mind if you are anxious about things like this. That being said, my appointment today was very rushed because Denise was on vacation and Dr. Kunda had to go to a surgery. Not a big deal, whatever. However, in the middle of my pap smear Kunda answered a call from his son... Literally one hand on the speculum, other hand on the phone. I was shocked. Then, I'm getting an ultrasound, spread eagle and legs facing the wall. The nurse leaves to get something and the door is left open. I get it nobody could see anything, but the position was still extremely vulnerable and I am not usually an anxious person, but I felt incredibly exposed.

The rudest office staff I have ever had to deal with, incredibly immature and catty. After every…read morephone call they would receive they would hang up and complain about the caller for what seemed to be no reason, except that they had to interact with them. Pricilla, who was the first office staff member I encountered, was eating when I arrived and obviously annoyed at my presence, she acted incredibly judgmental, rude and short. During this time the second office staff member was unloading a rolling cart of food into a fridge instead of helping an Amazon delivery driver who was trying to give them a package. After that Priscilla answered a call from a concerned patient who was given results with no explanation and instead of going to a private area or leaving a note for the doctor, she told the caller they had a STD in front of the whole lobby and it was only when the other office staff realized that this probably wasn't what they should be doing where she tried, in vain, to create some sort of privacy by turning on cupcake wars on the television louder and trying to shut the sliding glass pane that provided little to no privacy. At this point I knew that my condition and care would not be respected or valued and decided to walk out of my appointment. My advice- if you have a condition or are pregnant avoid this place, if they have chosen people like this to be the face of their office then what other standards do they not have. Go somewhere you will be respected and maintain your dignity.

I've been with NE OBGYN Asssoc since 1982 or so. I started with Dr. Forks, then Dr. Theis, and…read morethen, Dr. Akright. I can not say anything but wonder things about all my doctors here. I had several illnesses and procedures, 2 C-Sections, and always had professional care. Once, Dr. Akright stayed at the lab until 8:30pm to get my lab report, as he knew I was worried. He called me right away that night, instead of waiting until the next day to tell me the information. I think all offices have had issues with employees, especially since CoVid. Times are tough and we all need to have patience and kindness. Thanks NEOBGYN for everything you've done for me. Vicky Lambert Schafer

Dr. Womack is clearly uncomfortable with being asked to explain her rationale when making medical…read moredecisions different from those of other professionals in the office, becoming patronizingly gentle in tone rather than actually answering questions about past history and how it might interplay with current findings. At one point she made a recommendation to take a new hormone and when asked what the hormone was for refused to answer and then changed her recommendation to no hormones when I requested for her to explain a) what led her to disagree with her colleague's prior finding, b) what the recommended hormone was intended to achieve, and c) what would help address the actual concerns I was there for. When asked about the change in recommendation, she them repeatedly referenced my having complex medical history as a reason to not actually discuss concerns. It is a basic responsibility of medical professionals to be able to have an actual clinical rationale for their decisions about diagnosis and treatment AND to provide risks and benefits of completing any recommended treatments directly to patients. She refused to do either, perhaps because she could not which raises concerns of basic medical competence. I do not recommend this doctor, especially if you have any medical complexity or like to actually discuss your concerns or her clinical decision making.

Then I had to explain how sexual violence works because she basically implied it's my fault men have sa'd me, and I got very upset. She spoke to me like I was a child. I felt so humiliated. Don't go here if you have a trauma history or if you are not white. At your own risk.

Dr. Blaue is quite possibly the worst doctor I've ever seen, and I left my appointment with him feeling humiliated. I was on the verge of tears by the time I left the office. I had a cyst on my ovary rupture about a week before my appointment here, and had the rupture confirmed by an ER doc the day it happened. They referred me to this office for a checkup afterwards. Dr. Blaue not only denied the ER doc's diagnosis (for which there was an ultrasound and my own pain to back up), but he told me that the cyst only existed in the first place because I am fat. I don't deny that could be a factor, but he provided no treatment or further exploration of the issue besides "lose weight." When I asked about birth control (the implant), he said I was too fat and it wouldn't work on me and then dismissed me. A GP later told me there was no evidence the implant doesn't work for fat women, a fact I confirmed with research. He was extremely dismissive, cold and even cruel. I didn't even feel human. I understand being fat is a health risk, but I still deserve to be treated with respect. This experience was so traumatic I still haven't gotten a real exam to monitor my cysts. Please avoid this doctor, especially if you are overweight.
