It was a great environment for them both to learn how to skate! The races are cool, and when you win one you get a prize of a certificate of some sort to use at the rink. Laser tag is good, and it's fun to point the thingy at the targets and get points. You also get a piece of paper at the end with your rank and stats on it! Personally, I've been to many birthday parties there and the birthday person gets to go in this big yellow box and catch certificate prizes as they blow around in the box. I check in here every time they play and have seen the rink finally upgrade into providing a nice concession stand like others have done. They serve hot and cold foods now, and overall the *stinky* factor is not bad "Marlborough being the worse." The only thing I see lacking in this rink is the weather control "NATICK being the best so far for temperature and choice seating...you can sit behind the penalty boxes AWESOME!" Unlike the other rinks, their heating is not on par with the rest so a jacket/blanket is def required. I like that they have separate entrances for the teams and they do not have to have the teams walk through the actual lobby to get there (which I have also seen some rinks do "MARLBOROUGH" There is ample parking that is close and a Dunkin's/stores nearby. Kill two bird with one stone.

During my most recent visit for figure skating, multiple front parking spaces were blocked by buses. One bus alone occupied approximately eight parking spots while the driver remained inside with the engine running. This significantly reduced access for paying skaters. When I reported this to the front office, the response was dismissive and unhelpful. I was explicitly told by staff that I "needed to park on the overhang on the hill," despite arriving with skating equipment and multiple bags. No attempt was made to assist, redirect the buses, or offer a reasonable alternative. The manner in which this was communicated was discourteous and left me feeling disregarded as a customer. Unfortunately, similar issues have occurred in the past. On a previous visit, the women's restroom was flooded, and the only accessible stall had ice-cold water. The facility frequently has an unpleasant odor, and overall cleanliness and maintenance appear to be ongoing concerns. Last year in the winter, I encountered a fall stepping out of my car in the parking lot because no maintenance was done to remove ice. Also, the ice is absolutely miserable and resurfacing not done on time, so we often don't get to skate the full 50 minutes that we pay 30 dollars for. As a figure skater - and especially being a woman that gets treated condescendingly and with absolutely zero respect, I have repeatedly felt unwelcome at this facility. Combined with poor parking management, inadequate maintenance, and consistently unprofessional interactions with staff, this creates an environment that does not meet the expectations of a major sports complex. I would expect far better organization, accessibility, and customer service. Until these issues are meaningfully addressed, I cannot recommend this facility.

I have to give the Chelmsford Forum five stars because I spent many days there during hockey season…read morein high school. Since we didn't get prime ice time, we had practices at 5:30am before school. Luckily, we had practice everyday because the forum never forgot to open up early,. and was always on time.. even at 5am. Some mornings I would lay in bed at 430am.. and pray to god that somebody forgot to open the rink. Never happened. It's a typical ice rink, nothing fancy. The Umass Lowell Riverhawks used to play there.. but they got the new fancy Tsongas Arena in Lowell. They have snack bar with the normal fried rink food and only one section of the bleachers have some sort of heating system type thing. They have free skate and open hockey.. and the guys that sharpen skates in the pro shop are the best. I've probably thrown up here more than any other public place.. so needless to say it holds a special place in my heart.

The was automatically a downfall with having a toddler but we decided to try it out anyways since we were already there. My son fell while skating and it really scared him, considering he's not even 2 and he's used to using crates to hold on to, so my husband picked him up trying to get him off the ice and out of the way of all the hockey players racing around and slamming into boards. The second my sons feet left the ice a worker was right at my husband telling him to put him down, it was against rink rules to carry children while on the ice(as my son is screaming and crying). Needless to say, my child's safety is more important than your rinks rules. We got a refund and will not be returning.
