Then it got even better -- we made our own custom bottle straight from the barrel. We chose "Ricky," a rye, and WOW... super smooth. We even took a photo that they printed and placed on the bottle as our personal label. Such a cool touch. Not only was the bottle experience so unique, but the space itself was incredibly welcoming. My wife and I were in Nashville in late September. Our brother-in-law asked us to stop by this place and buy him a custom bottle of whiskey so we did. Upon arrival, we were helped by Ivan and he was amazing. My wife and I don't know much about whiskey /alcohol but Ivan took the time to explain to us the difference, he walked us around and explained the process, and we sampled some whiskey. It was amazing. We ended up purchasing two expensive bottles. The room in the back for whiskey tasting was awesome and I wish we could have arrived earlier to stay longer but maybe next time. Hands down one of the coolest tasting experiences ever! In a nicely decorated and well appointed barrel room. You get to pull samples straight from the barrel and if you want it, they will bottle it right in front of you with your own custom label. They do have a regular tasting room, but I never made it that far because the barrel room was just too much fun. Tried Whisky, Bourbon, Rye, and even an Agave Spirit! Super fun experience! We visited Nashville Barrel Co with friends for my husband's birthday. We each picked our own flights. The great thing about NBC is that there is something for everyone! They have Agave (tequila), rum, whiskey, and even slushy flights! My flight was thieved from the barrels, which means it's straight and barrel proof. My favorite was the Sweet & Smooth which is an 8 year old honey finished bourbon. The Bourbon barrel rum was really nice also. There are two locations, downtown and Fesslers Ln. The Fesslers location has plenty of free parking and the lounge is really nice and comfortable. The employees were great and knowledgeable to help you make great picks. We had been looking for a distillery to stop at while driving around Nashville. Found Nashville Barrel on a quick search and decided to stop in. We wanted to try some spirits and did a "thief your own" flight, which meant we got to pull our own sample from thr barrel, which was actually kind of fun. I visited Nashville Barrel Company and had a great time sipping on some of their delicious bourbon and other spirits. They definitely take great pride in the care that goes into their products. The tasting room is cozy and intimate but may not be ideal for larger groups. However, the personalized service from the friendly and knowledgeable staff more than made up for the small size of the space. While understandably pricier due to the quality of their products, I did find the prices a bit high, but I guess you get what you pay for. I was able to tour this place recently and it's like the Tardis from Doctor Who, way bigger on the inside! They sell and make rum, multiple styles of whiskey, single barrel bourbon, and offer unique tasting tours. The tour favorite seems to be the "Bottle Pick Tour". Guests sample whisky straight from four different barrels, choose the one they like best and then that whiskey gets bottled and they take it home! Rumor has it that they are in the process of building and outdoor event space for weddings, birthdays and really any reason to pour one out in celebration. Wow! Just wow! I am still speechless from the pure lack of customer service I received. (Or sheer rudeness, maybe?) I went in early morning, before any crowds or craziness, looking for a gift and recommendations, knowing very little about any of it and wanting a souvenir bottle. I said I'm pretty sure he drinks bourbon, and started looking at the piano man (which is marked as a staff favorite). I asked the gentleman working there, what he would recommend and he basically scoffed at me and made me feel ridiculously stupid for even simply asking or not knowing. He then tried to correct himself when I acted shocked that he would be so rude. I didn't even listen to whatever else he was saying, nor did I pay attention to his attempt at an apology, as I was thoroughly appalled by the sheer lack of consideration for a potential learning experience around their product. Adorable location! I'm sure, based on other reviews, it's a great experience. Ok so my friends and I went on a whiskey tour and Nashville Barrel Company was first on the list. Let me just say we tasted a lot of whiskey but Nashville Barrel was by far the best. They have a parking lot which helps if you don't feel like doing a bunch or walking or don't want to pay to park. When you walk in, there are a few single stall bathrooms that are pretty clean. The place is small but to me just the right size for hanging out and drinking whiskey. There are bar stools at the counter where the whiskeys are explained excellently and savored one at a time. My friends and I had a great time and spent time doing a great photo shoot. I definitely recommend and will be going back. read more

As of July 2022 NBC hadn't yet started distributing to California. I came here on my own and did the friends of NBC tour. They also allowed me to try their infinity barrels. The woman giving the tour was fantastic and gave generous pours I think because I was the only one on the tour. These generous pours, while appreciated, turned me into midnight Dave at noon. Everything they sampled out was delicious and was happy to bring home a few bottles. Looking forward to getting their product in CA. read more

Visited Nashville for a concert with a friend and googled whiskey tastings. This business was close so we decided to take a Lyft over. Easy drive for Lyft driver to make from our hotel. When we arrived we were greeted by the cutest dog, Mocha! Her owner was tasting and chatting with a worker (I hate I didn't get her name!). We walked up, we're greeted and I said we wanted to do a tasting. We chatted about various ryes, flavors and if what we wanted to taste. Mocha's owner Chris offered suggestions as well. As we were tasting another person chatted with us and recommended some whiskey's to try as well. The overall vibe was welcoming and everyone seemed super helpful and knowledgeable. We did the tasting flight. It was good and we decided the straight rye whiskey was our favorite. After our tasting we wanted to try the featured cocktail as well. The young lady went to the back to get the honey bourbon and made a batch of the drink. It was so good! Very smooth without the artificial honey taste like some of these whiskeys out here. While we were waiting to checkout, we asked for seafood restaurant recommendations. The staff was so helpful and we ended up at The Southern and having some of the best oysters in a long time. As we were wrapping up a bourbon owner came in to do a tasting and we talked Frank Lloyd Wright homes (he suggested going to Chicago to see the most FLW homes in one trip) and recommended bourbon tours we could take in Kentucky. The staff member put the whiskey we purchased in bubble wrap and it made it all the way back to OKC in perfect condition! Nashville Barrel was an amazing time. We came in expecting to just try whiskeys and we left with new drink ideas, a fabulous restaurant recommendation, a new friend in Mocha and great vacation ideas. So glad we decided to come here. If you're looking for an inexpensive thing to do before heading to downtown this is your spot. They also offer informative tours if your into that sort of thing as well. read more

What's special about NBC is that they offer private barrel picks where you and your crew can go pick your very own barrel of bourbon, rye, or even rum! If that's not for you, they have some great bottles in the shop that you can purchase. The guys that run the show over there are fantastic! They are extremely knowledgeable, have fantastic palates, and are just fun people to be around! If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping in and grabbing one of their hand chosen whiskies. I've now been here 3 times and each visit has been perfect. This last time around we had a group do the bottle pick experience. I cannot recommend this enough. It was absolutely worth every penny. David guided us through a tasting of four single barrels, being careful to not influence our palate as we narrowed down the selection. You can tell he loves his job and truly knows his stuff. The experience was fun, informative, and we left with a stellar bottle of bourbon. As a bonus, the co-founder James popped in and we were able to pick his brain for bourbon knowledge, history of the company, and anything else we wanted. Plus he brought "the Boss" with him! I visited Nelson's Green Brier Distillery on 7/23. We were greeted as soon as we walked in which I appreciated. I cannot remember the name of our host but he was great! He was very knowledgeable about not only their liquors, but liquors in general. He even gave us restaurant recommendations! He noticed we were looking at the menu on the wall and commenting on how tasty the food sounds. Sadly, it was for decor only lol. The host helped us pick out which of their products we wanted to taste. I chose to taste their Green Apple Woo Shine, Agave Spirit, and Barrel Aged Rum. My guest had their Green Apple Woo Shine, Barrel Aged Rum, and one more I cannot remember lol. It was a tasty whiskey! After preparing our flights, the host showed us to their lounge area which is a dimly lit space with couches and a table with high top chairs. The music was nice and matched the overall "theme". Not too loud. I enjoyed the decor and being able to see all of the barrels for their different liquors. We thoroughly enjoyed all of our liquors though the rum was a bit strong for my liking. We purchased a bottle of their Agave Spirit as that was my favorite. All in all, I give this place a 5/5. read more

Pulled in and wondered if I was in the right place. Industrial looking building with just a plain sign. Went up the stairs and opened the front door to reveal what resembled a showroom of spirits. Tucked just in the door was a small counter with the most helpful gentleman. He asked if we had been there before and when we replied no, he explained everything to us. The tasting area, the different items available, and most importantly, the lounge area! What an awesome idea! You can sample/ taste your spirits not on some hard stool, but in a very relaxed, slightly darken lounge area. So cool! I had such a great time sampling everything and all the staff were available to answer any questions I might have, but never hovered or interfered with the experience. And the spirits were out of this world! Not your average whiskies! Potent, but approachable. Highly reccomended read more

I'm left very disappointed in my first visit. I had been wanting to check this place out since I moved here. They ask me if I want to do a sampling. You get 3 samples and it's $25.....that's insane. MAYBE it wouldn't be that bad, but Oz these pours were unreal. They were truly a "sample". I was told I would be poured a 7 year to try. It was a 5 year. Prices on bottle are pretty high. Very beautiful place inside. Props to them on that. Just wanted a little more I guess. Just want to support local. read more
