Hands down one of the coolest tasting experiences ever! In a nicely decorated and well appointed barrel room. You get to pull samples straight from the barrel and if you want it, they will bottle it right in front of you with your own custom label. They do have a regular tasting room, but I never made it that far because the barrel room was just too much fun. Tried Whisky, Bourbon, Rye, and even an Agave Spirit! We had around 40 to 50 people in our group, the staff handled us great, very informative and helpful.

Purchased a Groupon and it stated for the downtown location (must be new); however, the HQ was only located a couple miles away with free parking so we chose to come here instead, and glad we did! Plenty of parking, wasn't busy and the employee was very friendly (didn't catch his name) and briefed us on the establishment. Very nice lounge area that's inviting, relaxing, and accomodating where we chilled and enjoyed our wine flights! Check this local gem out!

Super fun experience! We visited Nashville Barrel Co with friends for my husband's birthday. We each picked our own flights. The great thing about NBC is that there is something for everyone! They have Agave (tequila), rum, whiskey, and even slushy flights! My flight was thieved from the barrels, which means it's straight and barrel proof. My favorite was the Sweet & Smooth which is an 8 year old honey finished bourbon. The Bourbon barrel rum was really nice also. There are two locations, downtown and Fesslers Ln. The Fesslers location has plenty of free parking and the lounge is really nice and comfortable. The employees were great and knowledgeable to help you make great picks. We will definitely be back!

The flight experience is fun, Jason is super knowledgeable about their whiskeys. The atmosphere is really cool too - this is a historical building so it's beautiful inside... especially their private speakeasy! We had a great time here!

I was in town for work, and accidentally showed up here very close to closing, but they were incredibly generous and allowed me to enjoy a tasting while I waited for a car to pick me up. Each pour had its own unique flavor; and was very tasty! The staff is knowledgeable and even picked up some new techniques when at a tasting. Hope I have the chance to come back and visit one day.

I had a great time on this tour, sampling Bourbon, Rye, Rum, and Agave. The guide was both entertaining and knowledgeable, making for a fantastic experience. I highly recommend this place. The ambiance was very relaxing and cool.

We had been looking for a distillery to stop at while driving around Nashville. Found Nashville Barrel on a quick search and decided to stop in. We wanted to try some spirits and did a "thief your own" flight, which meant we got to pull our own sample from thr barrel, which was actually kind of fun. Our assistant, Kelly, was awesome helping us. We sat and sipped a while and chatted all things spirits and food with David. Found a few goodies to take home as well. It was an awesome experience!

I visited Nashville Barrel Company and had a great time sipping on some of their delicious bourbon and other spirits. They definitely take great pride in the care that goes into their products. The tasting room is cozy and intimate but may not be ideal for larger groups. However, the personalized service from the friendly and knowledgeable staff more than made up for the small size of the space. While understandably pricier due to the quality of their products, I did find the prices a bit high, but I guess you get what you pay for. I enjoyed my time at Nashville Barrel Company and would recommend it for those looking for great bourbon and spirits. Just be prepared to possibly pay a bit more than average.

I was able to tour this place recently and it's like the Tardis from Doctor Who, way bigger on the inside! They sell and make rum, multiple styles of whiskey, single barrel bourbon, and offer unique tasting tours. The tour favorite seems to be the "Bottle Pick Tour". Guests sample whisky straight from four different barrels, choose the one they like best and then that whiskey gets bottled and they take it home! Rumor has it that they are in the process of building and outdoor event space for weddings, birthdays and really any reason to pour one out in celebration. Definitely keep an eye on the NBC as a new local sipping spot!

David had a lot of knowledge of whiskey and aging process. Very informative. Gained a lot of new knowledge about whiskey. Whiskey was very strong so drink a lot of water and wished we had more time to drink between sips. Ambiance is great, you can see where they bottle and see the barrels. The dog pictures are nice

Ok so my friends and I went on a whiskey tour and Nashville Barrel Company was first on the list. Let me just say we tasted a lot of whiskey but Nashville Barrel was by far the best. They have a parking lot which helps if you don't feel like doing a bunch or walking or don't want to pay to park. When you walk in, there are a few single stall bathrooms that are pretty clean. The place is small but to me just the right size for hanging out and drinking whiskey. There are bar stools at the counter where the whiskeys are explained excellently and savored one at a time. My friends and I had a great time and spent time doing a great photo shoot. I definitely recommend and will be going back.

Dodging yet another storm that rolled through when our group was here, we posted up in Nelson's Green Brier for an hour or so. I haven't struggled so much like I have here to pick a craft cocktail. There are so many good ones on the menu that fit any type of pallet, that it took me so long to decide. I got a modified old fashioned and then there was a martini-like drink that I tried. Both really packed a punch, luckily we were walking to our next destination. In the store they seemed to have a flash-sale going on for one of the bourbons. It was normally around $75 or something and I got it for $45. I am sure that's not normal but it really made the selection even better, because the wall of whiskey/bourbon is also really tough to choose what you want!

As an Asian customer, I left this establishment believing I was racially profiled. I was singled out, denied service despite presenting valid identification, and never given a legitimate explanation for why my ID was supposedly unacceptable. Since the incident, I have found multiple reviews from other customers of color describing experiences that raised similar concerns about profiling and disparate treatment. The entire experience was humiliating, unprofessional, and unacceptable. There are plenty of businesses in Nashville that can verify IDs without treating customers this way.
