My wife and I took a flyer on Corsair, because we had seen their bottles in stores, but weren't ready to pull the trigger because we weren't ever sure if we would even like it. We couldn't have been more wrong. Admission for two was a reasonable $50, and what we assumed would be a large group tour, ended up being an amazing near-private experience with our tour guide, Mitch. Mitch was absolutely incredible. He walked us over to the distilling room, where he explained how their bespoke process works, Corsair's distilling philosophy, and proudly showed off Ethyl, their 100+ year-old pot still. Once we got back to the tasting room, and after our first taste, we immediately regretted not trying Corsair years ago. Mitch did a great job explaining to us how each gin, whiskey, absinthe, rum, and rye are created. He also had an answer for all of our questions - feel free to ask away. Finally, we headed to their bar, where my wife had a drink called the "Easy, Breezy, Caprese," made with their American Gin, and I was able to roll a D-20 to let fate decide what drink I would try. I rolled a 4 and landed on a Bee's Knees, made with their Barreled Gin - a new favorite of ours. As mentioned, we should have tried Corsair's unique and delicious spirits sooner. We bought three bottles, and will look for theirs at home in the future. Finally, our top tip: When you book your tour, be sure to ask for Mitch. What a fun distillery with some very unique spirits. My sister and I went for a whiskey tasting. The bartender was great, she really knew her stuff and was very informative. She also let us taste their red absinthe. I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor considering I'm not a fan of absinthe. I ended up leaving with the triple smoke whiskey and I can't wait to use it! I loved the vibe in here, it was so green with beautiful wood accent. Overall, I definitely recommend coming because you will taste spirits that you have never tried before. read more

The distillery offers tours, taste samples, and they have a bar with many local breweries and hand crafted cocktails. My husband tried the Wiseacre -Sky dog- which is a lager with lime. I had the pink drink and it reminded me of a creamsicle but strawberry kind instead of orange. It was really smooth, nice hint of sweetness, I ended up getting another one. The bartenders were very welcoming and knowledgeable. My husband did try the taste sampling and he really enjoyed their whiskeys, the spiced rum was a nice hit, but still enjoyable. read more

Visited from out of state and was looking to try some local distillery. It was more of a brewery experience/atmosphere , tried some good beer/cider, they have a big selection. It wasn't packed as it was mid day. Food menu wasn't big, bar style, but tasted good. Service at the bar was good. 'Buy 1 get 1 for free' beer promotion was confusing since it only applies per person which we didn't know, so for the 2 people we each had to get 2 beers for them to honor it, no exceptions. I wish it was more clear as we already ordered samples package they offer. Overall, it's a good spot to stop by. read more

Really enjoyed spending a couple of hours at Corsair. My only regret is that based on their friendly service and quality products, I really should have tipped a bit more! Stopped in primarily because I was seeing a show at Marathon Music Works that evening and wanted to get there early to snag some free street parking in the area. Doing so required getting to the neighborhood a couple hours before the doors open and I wanted a couple of drinks (cheaper than the venue, and better) and a meal. I had this idea a previous time or two when I was seeing a show at MMW, but Corsair (and every other business in Marathon Village) has limited hours and are closed a couple of weekdays. Luckily they were open on a Wednesday night until 7 pm, allowing me to spend a couple of late afternoon hours here. I tried a few of their own spirits--their rye and their triple-smoked whiskey--as well as a happy hour 2 for 1 draft beer. They have a tap of many local Nashville brews. Their own distilled liquors, at least the two I tried, are superb. I particularly enjoyed the rye on the rocks, zero burn and full flavor. I also tried a pizza--the sausage supreme. Thin crust, tasty toppings, fairly priced. I almost at the whole thing, lol--more pizza than I've eaten in months, but it wasn't too filling and gave me the proper fuel to be on my feat for a rock show for several hours. Good happy hour deals, great drinks, and good pizza. My only complaints at all are those limited hours--it'd be nice if they were open on Tuesdays, for example since there are often shows at MMW on Tuesdays and no other great options for food and drink on the block right now--and if they had a bar menu of smaller plates or appetizers in case an entire pizza is a bit much for you. read more

After an underwhelming tasting at the other distillery in this building, we were really glad to find a full bar with craft cocktails. There is a tasting option at the front bar, but we opted for cocktails in the back room. Their cocktails were unique, well made and delicious. Our drinks did take a while, but we weren't in a hurry so it was okay. The whole space is gorgeous, with plenty of seating and they had great music playing. When in doubt, whiskey it out. The girls and I popped in on Monday afternoon after sipping along distillery row and found ourselves the trendy, fun, one of a kind spot - Corsair! Being that we wanted to really sample it all, we bellied up to the bar and at the mercy of the sweet bartender, he walked us through the delicious line up of bottled liquor proudly crafted in Nashville. Six types of alcohol ranging in type, body and flavor (Gin, Rum, Whiskey to be exact) are created in house and for a mere charge, we sampled them all. Each liquor was smooth and simply drinkable! He provided us with an excellent rundown of the establishment and a fun tour of the booze provided! Afterwards, we headed to the other side of the tasting bar to Marathon Taproom which features a killer lineup of cocktails, craft beers and more made locally and beyond. Being on a vodka kick, I chose to sip on The Pink Lady, which came in the cutest little glass and garnish and tasted like a glorified strawberry milkshake. YUM! I was in heaven! My cousin opted for their Smoky Manhattan which was just to her liking - strong and spicy! My sister ended up with a draft beer, which was light in color and body - perfect way to cap off the day of exploring! Also offered - merch, tours of the distillery, mixology classes and more!
