Nice little tasting room when visiting the Marathon motor works area. When I went it wasn't super busy, so I was able to peruse the wall of bottles for a bit before bellying up to the bar for some samples. Their process is super simple and efficient, more than others I've done. They have nice laminated sheets with all of their offerings and you're able to choose the few you want to try. The visual makes it easier as you go. My server was engaging as he balanced a couple groups tasting. Their range of flavors was wide, so folks should be able to find something for you. read more

Overall this is a distillery tasting room worth visiting and they have some pretty good whiskey and bourbon along with a few flavored spirits to try as well. I enjoyed finishing my tasting off with the peanut butter whiskey. They also have rum if that's more up your alley. This was my first Tennessee distillery. I understand they have rules about not sharing tastings, which is new to me as a Pennsylvanian. The staff here does an excellent job at getting customers through their tastings quickly and with fun and friendly service. They have a large menu full of options that don't taste like alcohol, which is great for tourists. We ended up not liking any of the tastings enough to purchase, but our server Rev was awesome. The building the tasting room is really neat and worth a stop on its own. There are a ton of shops to check out. Add this to your list of places to stop by. read more

Umm ... are you sure the Salted Caramel has whisky in it?!? I don't usually like whisky but we ended up leaving with a bottle ... because it's just that good. Stumbled upon this place behind the Jack Daniel's General Store and it turned out to be a standout. Both guys behind the bar were awesome at giving us the lay of the land ... which included a FREE tasting of up to 5 samples per person - not shareable unless you use the loophole of kissing your partner Nice setup with large bar and pictures of samples being offered ... just place each of your 5 taster cups on which ones you wanted. Stopped in here on a tour and had no idea it existed. Immediately it smells amazing - they sell candles with their scents. Test out their drinks - you can choose 4 of the 12+ options including seasonal liquors. I loved all of mine because I got the cream liquors. Free tasting! Who wouldn't want free tastings?! Yes it's free but it's also a good way to have people come in and try their product. I never had moonshine before and this was a good introductory tasting. Especially that they had fun flavors. I tried the kingsnake, cranbrake, creamsicle, peanut butter and cinnamon. The peanut butter was good! Good mixer flavors. Worthy of a buy! Service was friendly and he was knowledgeable. The place was located in the warehouse with lots of shop. Very busy but they run a smooth business and direct you to the area where you can taste. read more

This place is super cool to come in and do a tasting. I know absolutely nothing about whiskey or liqueurs so the fact they were super nice about teaching me the differences was incredible. We came for the Antique Archeology store and we stayed for the whiskey tastings. There are two distilleries in the building, this one and Corsair. They are totally different experiences. First off, this one is free! That's right, you can have a handful of samples for free, but make sure to leave a tip. I'm not one for flavored whiskeys, but a couple of them I really enjoyed. Plus the guys behind the bar were full of information and very personable. I didn't feel pressured to buy anything and it was a fun little stop. read more

Hands down my favorite distillery in the world. I went a few years ago and tried their Salted Caramel. That hooked me. I came home with that, blackberry, coffee and peanut butter. Now if in passing within an hour or two (I live in North Carolina), I make an effort to stop by and stock up. When I finished my 1st Salted Caramel and Blackberry I kept the empty bottles just so company could smell it. The location I go to is all wood inside, has a really cool old car, and is just awesome like an old saloon or something. The people are wonderful and the samples are delicious. I highly recommend ever going in and trying them out. My only complaint is they are not available in the North Carolina ABC stores.... I have to travel 6 hours or order online... but the long drive is well worth it... mountains, Gatlinburg area, and Tennessee legend!!! Yay!! read more

We ended up here several times during our trip. We had different servers each time. They were all wonderful. You get to choose what you want for your tasting. Moonshine, whiskey, and a bunch of creamy stuff for you! It was all pretty good. The great thing here--tasting is free, as it should be. I tend to buy more bottles when I can taste what is in them. TN Legend Distillery was a great experience for the whole family. We got to try 8 samples of our choosing, ranging from moonshine to cream liquor, with a wide selection to choose from. Our server was kind, friendly, and informative. We ended up staying for a cocktail and bought multiple bottles to go. They have sales for buying 3, 6, or 12 bottles or just for a tasting. The coffee whiskey and crème brûlée liquor were my favorites. The setting is great for any occasion and we will definitely be coming back for more! read more

You guys know I love a good distillery so I could pass up a chance to get some good home grown Nashville moonshine. You get 5 samples in the tasting room but the lady was super cool and let us have an extra taste cause we couldn't decide which ones to purchase. We ended up leaving with bottles of whiskey moonshine and cool souvenir glasses all worth it cause they are freaking delicious. Great place! Friendly bartenders and free moonshine sampling! (And there are so many flavors: white lightning, peach, lemonade, cinnamon, peanut butter cup, salted caramel, coffee, blueberries and cream, and even bananas foster). I bought a bottle of my favorite; the cinnamon. They also sell lots of moonshine related items like shot glasses, barn signs, and whiskey scented soap. They have slushie machines with flavors like strawberry lemonade at Margarita lemonade so you can get a frozen drink to go for just under six dollars. Great place for a quick stop, and many of the Nashville tours stop by here anyway. read more

We originally planned to drive to Lynchburg from Nashville to visit the Jack Daniel's Distillery but found out they weren't taking anymore reservations and a reservation was needed. So we ended up at a local Jack Daniel's General Store in Nashville which lead us to Tennessee Legend Distillery. They were doing free tastings! We ended up discovering some amazing goodies! We wanted to buy everything but unfortunately since we're flying back to CA we couldn't buy everything. We had to chose wisely. We got the Coffee Moonshine along with Banana's Foster cream liquor. You can order their liquor online but it is $10+ per bottle to have shipped FYI 2X bonus points as they offer a military discount, gave us a souvenir pub crawl poker chip, and a great group photo! read more
