Been here a few times and the most recent time, it looked like it was remodeled. Tons of open seating now, a really nice bar seating area, and a great store to buy things in. Dodging yet another storm that rolled through when our group was here, we posted up in Nelson's Green Brier for an hour or so. I haven't struggled so much like I have here to pick a craft cocktail. There are so many good ones on the menu that fit any type of pallet, that it took me so long to decide. I got a modified old fashioned and then there was a martini-like drink that I tried. Both really packed a punch, luckily we were walking to our next destination. In the store they seemed to have a flash-sale going on for one of the bourbons. It was normally around $75 or something and I got it for $45. I am sure that's not normal but it really made the selection even better, because the wall of whiskey/bourbon is also really tough to choose what you want! read more

Nelson's Green has a wild history and it is a treat to hear about it during the distillery tour. I did not realize how amazing Nashville's food scene is. I went to Nelson's Green Brier for the black bar crawl brunch. We arrived after 10am which was probably too early for the "real brunch" was started. I ordered the eggs benedict with a bourbon mosa. The bourbon mosa was the VIP of the visit. A nice twist to drinking brown liquor without it being too strong. I really enjoyed it and contemplated ordering a second one. Try it! As for the meal, it was delicious as well. Everything was cooked to perfection. The potatoes were nicely seasoned with just the right amount of salt. The greens and vinaigrette were nice. The eggs benedict on the english muffin.. excellent. We love Nelson's! They have a great brunch, but we also love the supper club. It is such a great portion you get for drinks and all the food is great. This one is from the Kentucky Derby deemed so it was all Southern food, but we also did an Asian one that was great as well. They are super friendly and the distillery is beautiful. Sad I didn't get to take a tour but the experience was great nonetheless! The space inside is gorgeous!! It's spacious, open and very green. All the drinks we got from the bar were made with perfection. I got the frozen old fashion but I should have looked at the menu more because they had a smoked old fashion that sounded amazing. We visited Green Brier Distillery for a whiskey tasting and tour, and it was such a great experience! Our guide, Sophia, was absolutely lovely -- friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing the rich history of the Green Brier family and the process of making Tennessee whiskey. The tour was both educational and entertaining, and we ended with a tasting where Sophia walked us through how to properly taste and appreciate each pour. Yelp needs to create a special 10 star category for those deserving, and this distillery is one of those! Firstly- amazing space. The 3 piece jazz band was a great touch. Food: they have a lunch and brunch service, and my mushroom grits were fantastic! Pro tip: pair the grits with the rye whiskey, and prepare to be amazed. Daniel at the bar was fantastic on knowledge and service. The distillery tour with Therese was thoroughly enjoyable. It was fun and informative, with a tasting at the end. And you'll get a discount on merch if you book a tour. There is a great story behind this distillery as well. Arrived for a tasting, got seated at the bar and were greeted by the bartender promptly. Had to sit there for about 10 minutes or so while she dealt with other customers, no big deal. I did the Flagship flight which sampled the 4 Whiskey's in the posted photo. The Tennessee whiskey was not bad but had a bit of an harsh taste. Liked the Classic Bourbon. The Rye Whiskey was ok but not to my taste and I do like Rye. The Reserve Bourbon was very good. It maybe high proof but finished smoothly. Planned an outing for my friend & I at Nelson's Green & we both enjoyed it! We did the tour & tasting, and our tour guide taught us so much about the history of this brand, which includes an interesting family story. The facility is smaller than some of the others in the area, but beautiful. The tasting was one of the best I've been to because of the palate wheel helping us identify notes in the different blends. This place came highly recommended and did not disappoint. When you enter the place, you're greeted by someone at a desk where you could sign up if you want to take their tour. I opted to skip the tour since they're almost closing and I'd rather take my time enjoying my drinks. I went to the bar and behind it was a clear glass where you can see the huge vats where they make the magic potions. They have plenty of cocktails on the menu and of course individual whiskeys and flights. I got their house classic reserve and a cocktail (Always whiskey in the banana stand) and ohhhhh boy... they were heavenly. So smooth. Loved how easy it felt drinking it and the burn that followed soon after. Came for the tour, stayed for the food. Nelson's Green Brier Distillery is one of (if not the) oldest whiskey distillery in Tennessee. I came for the tour, wanting to learn how Tennessee whiskey is made. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and charming, walking us through the history of Nelson's and the process of whiskey making. He loved answering questions and tossed some great jokes before taking us to a delightful tasting experience, teaching us the most enjoyable ways to taste whiskey. Feeling a little tipsy after the tour, I went to Nelson's restaurant located inside the distillery. Here, pub classics like burgers and pizza are made with and served alongside their whiskey. The food was rich, heavy, and salty, pairing nicely with the alcohol. Everything was delicious and gave me a cozy feeling afterward. We did the Hainted Distillery Tour pop up. Appreciate the effort but it wasn't very scary. I did like the whiskey samples at the end. I thought we'd be able to order the spooky themed drinks at the bar rather than a small to-go cup in the beginning. I think there was a missed opportunity to make them fun colors or add a plastic spider or something. Also I thought we'd get 2 themed drinks not one. Yummy bread with dipping oil, pasta salad next (never been a fan of cold pasta - so my friend took this home for lunch the next day) followed by Italian beef and crinkle fries with cheese - omg so good, but the giardiniera was spicy from the jalapeños! This is for the Thursday night Supper Club. 9/25 was Oktoberfest Fusion! German/Asian and it was delicious! Service is always impeccable and the atmosphere perfect. You start with a welcome drink and through the night the food is paired with a few more. Started with a Bao Schnitzel, next was a great salad, followed by chicken, brisket, and a fantastic dessert. Limited so make your reservation on their site. Food style changes weekly. I almost didn't want to leave this review because it's one of the best secrets in Nashville. Very informative tour. Darrin was a great guide and it was awesome to see the whiskey making process. The actual whiskey tasting selection was good in my opinion. Had a great afternoon at Nelson's. They had their own twist on a couple things; the Cold fashion, which is a slushy old fashion. My husband really enjoyed it, it was $5 during happy hour. I had the huckleberry. For apps we did the buffalo wings, they were fall off the bone good that I had to get another order. I tried loving their version of the French onion soup but it was too salty. Take the tour! It's the second best part of Nelson's Green Brier Distillery, honestly. My tour guide was engaging, I learned a lot about Tennessee whiskey and bourbon, I got to taste a lot of Tennessee whiskey and bourbon, and I left with a nice t-shirt that I bought at the gift shop. The first-best part of Nelson's is the food. As much as I love whiskey and bourbon, I love a great meal slightly more, and you can get a great meal here at the restaurant inside the distillery. I visited with a group, so we got a few different things: Deviled eggs: amazing, as all deviled eggs are. I've yet to eat a bad deviled egg, ever. These are great. Bavarian soft pretzel: This was just fine. It comes with pimento cheese and whiskey mustard on the side. Distiller's Board: this is a charcuterie board with cheese, fruits, crackers, cured meats, pickles and candied nuts. I could have picked off this board with a Cold Old Fashioned (a frosty whiskey drink my friend got that I tasted), and I would have been exceedingly happy. For my main, I got the carnitas tacos, which came with pickled red onion, crema and cilantro. They are huge! I would recommend splitting this entree with another person, because after the first taco, I was well acquainted with the tastes and flavors, and the second and third tacos were just more of the same. If I had to do it all over again, I would have ordered the salmon croquettes, which I'm not seeing on the online menu, but they were on the menu when we visited. They are basically balls of salmon and herbs fried and served with tartar sauce and a wedge of lemon. Yum yum yum -- I'm still thinking about these balls of fish. They were perfectly crispy yet chewy. My favorite combination. The restaurant in the distillery is bright and airy, with high ceilings and lots of windows. You almost feel like you're sitting in a fancy barn or something. The tables are set with cloth napkins and earthen-colored flatware -- with pothos placed delicately in glass jars as table centerpiece -- so there's a simple, natural vibe going on here. The restaurant is nice but unpretentious. It's a must-stop before or after you do your whiskey tasting. read more

Beginning to end, the Constellation Brands team was accommodating and offered "stellar" service! Lakendra offered excellent guidance in the months and days leading up to the party and Emily and her team provided outstanding service the evening of the party.
