The spots were normal size, not striped for a smart car like most lots. I was able to validate in the museum when I purchased my ticket. For an hour and a half of parking it was about $6 with the validation. The museum was built in an old post office. I loved the building with the history and character. Admission is free for under 18 years old. We happened to catch a day when an exhibit was being switched out so admission for adults was only $10! On a normal day it would be $20. I saw that college students can enter for free on Thursday evenings. What a nice offer since there are so many colleges in the area. We started our visit at Cafe Cheeserie for matcha lattes. They were great! The dining room is so bright and cheery. The menu looks delicious. We had afternoon tea reservations the day we visited, but we'll definitely be back for food. They also had tables outside for nice days. The staff here really made the experience a great one. They were so friendly and welcoming. They were so sweet with my seven year old, both in the kid area and in the main gallery. I loved the cart to show the different elements used in the rotating exhibit. This gave us a real appreciation for the art and what we were seeing. The first floor has the main gallery. This was larger than it looked from the outside. We enjoyed looking at the variety of art in these rooms. Our favorite exhibit was Interwoven by Anila Quayyum Agha. It was all so beautiful, interesting, and impressive. The Martin ArtQuest area for children was great. Kids could spend hours here. They had watercolor painting, sketching, drawing, and other interactive options. They even had bags available to bring everything home in. Don't miss the gift shop. They had a lot of fun and beautiful things in there, especially for kids. The pricing was surprisingly reasonable. My daughter was excited to leave with a couple of inexpensive treasures. The Frist was a fun place to explore and we really enjoyed interacting with the employees here. They really added to the experience.

Some of the art is available for purchase if you are in the market for a different style piece for your home or apartment. Some crazy expensive, but some absolutely affordable! 5. Our greeter Sterling was the most amazing tour guide. Probably the best tour guide I have ever had, in any city. Kind, funny, informative with a personal touch, she gave us a complete and comprehensive walking tour of Nashville. The tour had something for everyone. Architecture and art, food and music. She gave us a lay of the land and helped us map out what we wanted to do while we were there. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. The tour was free and you are not allowed to tip. RIDICULOUS! I would have gladly paid for this tour and I felt horrible that I couldn't tip...but that's their policy. Definitely book this ahead of time and towards the beginning of your trip. Also, the nice people in the visitors center were full of smiles and warmth (Paige). They gave us tons of additional info that made our trip perfect. So Awesome! Just Do It!

I checked my speedometer at the end of the tour and got about 5,000 steps in. One more thing I loved was how Chakita mentioned and talked about black local businesses to support while in Nashville. Pilgrimage to Italy/France (October 6-18), 2025…read more The customer service/account representative I dealt with felt impersonal and not very friendly. I hesitated to ask questions because their manner wasn't very welcoming -- it almost felt like I wasn't really treated as a customer. The trip itself was action-packed -- as expected, there was a lot of walking. Since this was my first pilgrimage, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. While it was enriching to visit so many sacred sites, I didn't feel I had enough quiet moments to truly pray or reflect. I don't place that entirely on 206 Tours; October was close to the end of the Jubilee year, so there was a big influx of pilgrims from different countries. With that many people, it's understandable that things felt a bit rushed. We also changed tour guides three times, which may have led to some miscommunication and a lack of consistency throughout the trip. It would've been nice to have one steady guide to provide continuity and spiritual leadership. We stayed in four different hotels. The first one was fabulous, but the quality went downhill after that. At the second hotel, I was placed in an accessible room with a bathroom that was uncomfortably high, and since I shared a room, we were only given one key, which was inconvenient. The third hotel was extremely small -- really cramped -- though the fourth one was much better. Overall, I'm grateful for the experience and the opportunity to visit so many sacred places. I just think 206 could improve on personal connection, communication, and hotel consistency to help pilgrims feel more cared for and comfortable throughout the journey. But I think what affected me most was the customer service experience at the beginning. It set the tone, and I wish it had felt a bit more welcoming.
