Looking for the perfect way to get a full picture of Nashville without bar hopping between overly crowded honky tonks? The best solution is to hitch a ride on Big Green Tractor Tours! If you've been to Nashville, you've undoubtedly encountered a rancorous bridal party screaming from the streets of a barcycle. Well Big Green Tractor Tours takes the allure of one of these street mounted bars and takes the leg work out of it. You get to sit in a covered trailer while being pulled along the historic rows of Nashville debauchery. For us, the biggest bonus was the fact that Big Green Tractor Tours limits the amount of people on each ride. The open hair cover felt us feeling safer than being packed in one of the major tourist bars where you don't know who has what virus swimming around in their system. Plus, you avoid draining your bank account because you are able to bring your own beer and liquor on your Big Green Tractor Tour. I loved being able to stop by Frugal McDougal to pick out what drinks I wanted instead of showing up at a bar and selecting from whatever they offer (HELLLOOO you gorgeous double IPA's and other hefty craft beers not served at tourist bars!) The process was pretty simple. You booked your tour through their stunningly simple online system. Show up at the meeting point (PRO TIP: If you don't have a car while you're in Nashville to get to a bigger booze vendor, Big Green Tractor Tours meets in the parking lot of a liquor store.) It's impossible to miss the massive tractors and trailers with the festive multicolored dancing lights. I love to wave at people. It is a favorite activity of mine (I know it's weird.) While on the tour you get to see so many different people, the fee to get on the Big Green Tractor Tours is totally worth the people watching! And your personal bartender on the Big Green Tractor Tour will keep you well lubricated to keep those wrists a-waving at all the onlookers. Both the driver and bartender on our Big Green Tractor Tour were SO hospitable and kind. They cracked jokes and made us feel welcome while we were in Nashville. Without a doubt I would book another Big Green Tractor Tour the next time I visit. It's the perfect COVID-era night out.

I seriously can't say enough good things about this company! We had such an amazing time, and this was by far one of our favorite memories while celebrating our friends bachelorette weekend. There are so many different tours to choose from in Nashville, I did a lot of research before making our reservation. I didn't want to do the pedal bike because it was too hot, and we wanted to be able to dance. The honky tonk one just seemed too wild, and we didn't want to share the bus with other people (especially another bachelorette party). A lot of the other tours also didn't have any shade above you, which concerned me. And some of them won't let you bring your own alch. When I stumbled across The Big Green Tractor Tours, they had everything we were looking for! We booked a private tour with 10 of us and it only ended up being about $50 per person. If you are on a bachelorette party, I highly recommend doing the private tour. It was well worth it! I loved that we got to be pulled around town by a big green tractor, and it made for a super cute group photo! There was plenty of room to dance in the middle, plus stand on the benches & dance. There is also a charger port on the drink holder if you need to charge your phone (just bring your cord). The tractor also has a canopy above your head during the day time, and at night, they fold it up. We took the 6:30pm tour which was perfect! We got to see part of the town while it was still light out, and then also got to enjoy an hour of the night life. It was the perfect start to our night Before the tour started, we made reservations across the street at Party Fowl. Their food was amazing, and it was a quick walk across the street. The parking lot that they pick you up in is at the Frugal liquor store, so you can buy your drinks before you head on the bus. When you get on, you just give them all your drinks and they put them in the cooler bar. Throughout the night, the bartender kept handing us refills. The BEST part about the tour was the amazing crew! Ronny, Ricky, Cod, ya'll are so amazing! From the second we met them, they treated us like family and made sure we were well taken care of. Ronny is the DJ and "Mom" of the tour. She made sure we got all the group pictures we needed, and made sure to keep the dance floor poppin. She was more than happy to play any song requests we gave her. We listened to a mix of hip-hop and country. Ricky and Cod were like our protectors on the bus, and made sure we were safe when we had to take a bathroom break. They walked the girls to the restroom and made sure no one messed with them.

I came from Utah to visit my dad who lives here in Nashville and he took me on the Big Green Tractor Tour downtown. Had a blast. Love the idea of a happy hay ride through town. BYOB with a Tour guide to serve you. Variety of music to party to. They were on top of Covid regulations with gentle reminders while we partied. Highly recommended you try it out.

Yes it's BYOB and was able to bring wine bottles on, they kept it all in the ice chest and refilled our plastic ups as needed.

For a bachelor party, one of the guys booked tickets for us to go to a show. I personally knew none of the lineup that was performing throughout the evening but still wanted to go and check this out anyways. Walking up to the place, nothing too special. As you got closer, the flair started to show of how great this place is. Then walking in....WOW! Not what I expected at all. The decor is incredible. It's so hard to explain so you have to see it for yourself. Likewise when you get in to your seats (we were on the first level), sitting down to look at the stage is just something so unique and different from a typical music venue. Usually the shows are broadcasted live to a radio station, so they really put out a good show each night. You could lightly talk to people around you during the shows, so it wasn't incredibly loud like most places. The lights that were behind the different performers felt so nice on your eyes too. Everyone sounded great and the last guy had been performing for over 50 years! They still brought him out and he put on a heck of a closing performance! It was sad to walk out of this place. My friends felt the same way, we did a lap of the place and stuck around in the gift shop for a bit to continue absorbing the evening. We still even stood outside for a while taking pictures. The Grand Ole Opry...is something! Words can barely describe this place. You have to see it yourself, pictures don't do the justice.

It's no Ryman, but I understand the dollar signs that built the new(er) Opry building. Lots of…read morephoto ops around the entrance. Can accommodate lots of country music fans (and tourists); and at least the truly grand old Ryman continues to host many wonderful shows. Warning for those staying at the Gaylord and walking over to the Opry for a show. You'll already have walked A LOT inside the Gaylord, and it's a good ways from there on the path to the Opry. We had one of the rooms closest to the Opry side Gaylord exit and it was still a solid mile walk each way. If that's a bit far for you, and you're thinking you'll just take a break mid walk, there is no resting point, not a single bench, between the hotel and opry. We'll certainly see how convenient ride share is for our next Opry concert. The benches (not seats) at least are cushioned, so they emulate the church pews of the Ryman, with a touch more comfort. Signs show the venue getting a little worn. For example, there was no running water in any of the sinks in the men's room. We'll be back. How can you not.

She even provided the back stories of the historical churches & buildings we passed on our way to each location. She was sweet, hilarious, spunky and after telling her ALL 12 of our names just once - she remembered them all, the entire 3 hours we were together! We enjoyed ourselves so much and I'm so grateful we signed up - I honestly don't think we would have received the same experience of Nashville if we had just gone to these places on our own. We stopped off at 5 different eateries, all were pre-picked for us so we had no idea where we would be going. Unfortunately, not all of them struck me as worthy of a second visit but it was new to us (except for Prince's, we had stumbled upon them the day before, whoops) and I will say I'm not the biggest sweets fan but the Goo Goo cluster was the perfect way to end the tour!
