Before vacationing in Nashville, I watched YouTube livestreams. These livestreams gave me tours of Nashville before seeing it live. When I was following along on these virtual walks, my eyes took in this towering landmark that looked like a radio tower. This towering landmark marked the end of the Honkey Tonk Highway stretch of Broadway. In real life I was going to see this. In June that happened plenty of times. This Nashville landmark is a 250-foot tall radio tower that pays homage to Nashville's rich radio history, especially WSM Country Music which has aired country music since 1925. It is a representation of Nashville's connection to music, much like the tower above the Country Music Hall of Fame. This landmark was a big part of the vacation. Kind of like the Eiffel Tower would be in Paris. Nearby I would take pictures of it up close and walking along Broadway, the Riverfront Park, Walk of Fame Park, and other spots I took distant pictures of it. This landmark radio tower is incorporated into the northeast corner of the Bridgestone Arena at Broadway and Rep. John Lewis Way. This corner is home to the Nashville Visitor Center. It is a rounded mostly glass structure serving as the base of the 250-foot tall radio tower. It also serves as a place to welcome people to Nashville, Tennessee. I went inside here a couple of times. I saw it as a place to get acquainted with and to remember Nashville. When I walked inside from the entrance at Rep. John Lewis Way, I saw a few interpretive kiosks and a wall of records. The windows opening up to Broadway and Rep. John Lewis Way brought in sufficient sunlight and views. In the center of the room is the information desk where the employees answer questions and ring up souvenirs. They were pretty helpful when I asked them about the Nashville Trolly. However, they did not know much about the landmark above them. It's interesting that I would learn about it from Google AI instead of from the Nashville Visiter's Center. Regardless they were friendly and enthusiastic about answering my questions. Surrounding the desk are souvenirs. In my opinion the gift shops on Broadway offer a far better selection. Beyond the rounded below the landmark radio tower, the Visitor Center extends into the Bridgestone Arena. In contrast to the well lit, modern, and Nashville themed room under the radio tower, this area feels like a waiting area in a bus terminal. I appears to double up as a ticketing area. This is where the seating, brochures, and restrooms are. I spent some time sitting here with my Dad, and Brother while cooling off on a humid Nashville afternoon. I am a fan of the Nashville Visitor Center landmark 250-foot tall radio tower that rises from the top. When I vacationed in Music City USA, it was a landmark that I gravitated to. read more

This spot stood out as the perfect pitstop on our road trip as we passed Tennessee. It offers plenty of options for the local tourist attractions with an eased checkout experience. No matter what you stopped in Nashville for, stopping here allows you to preview a lot of options to really strategize your time in the area. We took the dogs for a walk nearby and were able to scope out several entertainment options for the night. Our visit here was short but thanks to this ample and easily accessible visitor center, I was able to select the itinerary for the night. If you are visiting Nashville for the first time and you want to know more about the Music City, the Nashville Visitor Center is the place to go. Even I -- a person not unfamiliar with Nashville as I've visited at least seven times -- learned a lot about the city from the friendly people who work here. The people at the Nashville Visitor Center can tell you where to visit and eat based on your preferences. They can tell you about the history of Nashville. Basically, this is a great resource for the city. It's also located downtown, so it's easy to get to, too. Inside the visitors center, you'll also find a gift shop with lots of Nashville swag and paraphernalia. You can get your Nashville t-shirts and coffee mugs here, rest assured. My friends and I purchased the Total Access Pass where you pay one fee to access multiple tourist attractions. My friends needed to pick up their passes so we stopped in when we got into town. The price has definitely increased over the past few years. As of March 2022, it's $122. Unfortunately, they don't offer a digital pass. The visitor center is located on the first floor of Bridgestone Arena. They have souvenirs that you can purchase and they have lots of pamphlets and brochures if you are searching for activities. The staff is really friendly, but I think the young man that I was talking to may have been confused when I was asking about the bus line. I read about the Music City Circuit line which offers free rides, but when I looked for info on it, I couldn't find anything. I asked him about it and I think he thought I was referring to the hop on, hop off bus. From what I can tell, the Music City Circuit does not seem to be offered anymore. The pass is good for three months so you have time to use it. We were able to use 5 out of the 6 ticket options while we were there. Unfortunately, many of the attractions that we were considering for the pick 2 option were closed Mon-Wed which was basically our entire trip. I wish we could have just chosen any attraction rather than having to select some from the pick 4 list and others from the pick 2 list. Overall, we felt it was a good deal to be able to visit many sites for one set price. They also offer discounts to tours which came in handy when we booked our tour of The Grand Ole Opry. Since I have a few months left to use my last ticket, it gives me an excuse to go back to Nashville lol. read more

What a great visitor information center in downtown Nashville at 5th and Broadway. Started planning our short 36 hour stop in Nashville with the visitmusiccity.com website. Lots of hotel offers including Staycations, Love Thy Neighbor discounts and first responder specials. We used a first responder deal that included an overnight stay at the Home2Suites Downtown, in and out parking and breakfast for $79 per night. This rate was not available on any other website that I saw. The visitor brochure is beautiful and helpful, but since it did not have a very detailed map of downtown, stopped in the center to make a more organized plan for the day. Mask On, Music Up. At the center, Colleen Callen rattled of points of interest spewing out information like an auctioneer, bombarding us with so many fantastic recommendations that it was a bit overwhelming at first. She knows and loves her city. She also made a perfect map literally highlighting, with a flourescent yellow marker, a very palatable route to maximize our day downtown while hitting so many historic and fun spots. Centrally located, connected to the ticket booth for the hockey arena, and the place to pick up the Music City Total Access Discount Pass city passes ($75/person). They're open 9 to 5:30pm. There's a lot of overpriced clothing and gifts and probably not the best place to buy these things. Only a few clearance shirts, also not that much a deal. There's brochures for city sights and coupons and other guides and maps as well as fairly modern and clean gendered bathrooms. read more

Right in downtown area where all the actions is! A small souvenir store and some information pamphlets to pick up or even ask someone for advice of what to do or where to eat. They also help in booking tickets and sells different tourist pass. Free wifi and a clean washroom. That's what all the visitor needs for sure. read more

I ordered online the Music City Total Access at $75 and we picked up our tickets here at the Visitor Information Center located at Broadway, just beside the Bridgestone Arena. I think it's always nice to get information of what are the must see attractions and ask questions to the friendly staff as they are knowledgeable and will patiently give you directions...like where's the best place to park (after paying $23 for 2 hrs at the FBC, we needed to ask). Total Access Pass includes 4 attractions of choice. 2 bonus attractions, Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame and Parthenon, 10% off in Music City Stores and 25% off select sightseeing tours through Gray Line Tours...all for $75...and comes with the magazine too! Aside from obtaining brochures or souvenirs, the center also have some memorabilia's like the guitars used in the TV series Nashville and for $3 you can also visit the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame. Stop by and get your bearings here before you start your adventure...and don't worry if you forgot your battery pack for your cellphone, they have a charging station there with different cables! Nashville has a great visitor's center! It can be found adjacent to the Bridgestone Arena and kiddie corner from Tootsie's. The people working in the visitors' center are very nice and helpful. Inside the center are a plethora of gift items including what I found to be a random section of Lisa Loeb items. They have an adorable stage with a couple of guitars you can pick up for photo ops...evidence in the photos of this listing. :) You can purchase the Nashville Total Access Pass inside for $60 which allows admission to 4 locations/tours + the Parthenon. This an excellent stop you have to make when visiting Nashville for first time because where else can you pose for free on a mini stage with a guitar and microphone for a photo opportunity and live out your dream of being discovered on the Grand Ole Opry stage? It wasn't that busy in April when I stopped in, but it's probably a secret place locals know about and if not already great place for tourists as well! Never skip out the visitor center when you travel because you don't know what treasures you will find in this little shop and mini museum of the women's basketball jerseys and famous women coach which I believed just passed away this year. Sad, but true. So I am not sure if the display of the women basketball changes or it stays there permanently. The building it's in is shaped pretty interesting as well and you can see the AT&T building or the Batman building pretty well from this spot as well. :-) read more

I called before my trip and was assured Nashville is a good family vacation. However upon arrival at Broadway street, every single live music place had bouncers and would not allow kids. This is NOT a family friendly city I was so angry my kids came to see all the music and were not allowed inside any bar or restaurant with live music. I can understand not selling liquor to minors, but not letting g them listen to music and locking them out on the sidewalk? Nashville you suck! read more

Staff was extremely helpful. The bathrooms were clean, it was a place to cool off (with 100 degree heat index). Definitely a very informative and welcoming place to stop and get some directives of places to visit. Parking... is terrible, you can park for $23 to go spend money downtown helping area businesses by giving them business. read more

We were very pleased with the information and suggestions given to us at the Visitor Center while visiting Nashville. We purchased a two day hop on hop off attractions booklet which admitted us into 5 attractions and we toured Nashville by bus. We used the attraction booklet for a tour of the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame. There were many other attractions included in the packet but we ran out of time. However, this packet is well worth the cost of $75. We also had a Free Walking Tour of Nashville sponsored by the Nashville Visitors Center and our guide was fantastic! He gave us a great history of Nashville and walked us through the downtown pointing out many points of interest that we would have definitely missed had we not had this tour! Sterling did an awesome job answering my questions prior to our visit and was an excellent tour guide on our walking tour. Kim also gave us lots of info when we arrived at the visitors center. We did the Old Town Trolley to get the lay of the land, which was very helpful. We used the free Music City Bus from the Gulch to downtown several times. Visited Tootsies, The Stage, Merchants and peeked in many other honkey tonks just to see. Visited Bourboun Street Blues Boogie Bar, enjoyed the entertainment. We visited The Parthenon, Cheekwood Songwriters Under the Stars last Saturday and went back yesterday for the mansion and grounds tours, 5* on both, Belle Meade and Journey to Jubillee Tours, 5* on both, Andrew Jackson's Hermitage and wagon tours, 5*, drove Natchez Trace Parkway clear to the Tennessee River, beautiful drive, To Franklin and ate at Sopapillas, delicious, 5*, Jack Daniels Distillery Angel's Share tour, 5*, Grand Ole Opry and saw Charley Daniels and others, great time. The Bluebird and saw Gayle Davies, very enjoyable. Ate at 5th and Taylor, Sambuca, and Jeff Ruby's, all delicious and 5*. Also, enjoyed Martin's BBQ, Party Fowl, Puckett's Grocery, Loveless Cafe, Biscuit Love, Pegleg Porker, Pancake Pantry, and Nashville Jam Cafe. Went to Farmer's Market and Octoberfest last Sunday. We stayed at the Fairfield Inn in the Gulch. Great location and excellent staff. Our trip was very enjoyable, thank you. read more
