Very clean. Great travel literature selections. Purposely designed as an inviting log cabin lodge which creates a welcoming atmosphere. Travel center exit off I-65 is a shared exit with routes to Portland, TN. Adequate parking for both commercial and passenger vehicles.

Literally the cleanest rest stop/information center I have EVER encountered. EVER. It is just across the state line, and across the highway from the Kentucky Welcome Center. Very well kept up, clean and new looking. The rest rooms were inconceivably immaculate, with plenty of soap, toilet paper and towels. There is someone sitting at the desk to answer questions for you. One room is dedicated to tourist information, maps, and brochures of notable things to do in the bigger cities, and then organized by region. I didn't really *need*anything but I grabbed a couple things just in case they had discount codes inside for things we were already planning to do in Nashville. (No dice, but it is always worth a shot!) They have lovely covered picnic areas and even have a little walking loop (1/7 of a mile, better than nothin'!) A great, inviting welcome to Tennessee!

A clean rest stop where the staff is friendly. The usual amenities are here. I would recommend to stop here as you cross from Alabama into Tennessee.

    Beautiful spacious rest area!

In the tone of the infamous James K from MKE. This rest stop wasn't shady or even slightly hustlin. And the staff wasn't trying to mess wit U. It was lacking in the area of hot chicks both poultry and human. But it was also 6:am and most birds and people are still sleeping. This is a rest stop.. a place to check in on yelp, update your Twitter and share in FB how tired you are for waking up at 4:am to get to SWFL by 10pm. An upload a picture of all the fun you are having on your road trip adventures. Very impressive, very clean, very modern good security probably the best and most well decorated for the fall season I did not expect to see it as anything but a restroom but it was a very informative with brochures organized into regions of Tn. They also have TV monitors and live stream news and weather radar in various locations. 104/2014

Welcome to Tennessee, this welcome center does an excellent job of being both "rest area" and "welcome center" with a decent amount of parking, clean restrooms, plenty of vending machines and a lot of brochures for state-wide attractions. I was especially pleased that the vending machines accept credit/debit cards as all I had was a $20.

Very nice rest up with a dedicated area for dogs picnicking they've got vending machines and a nice tourism center with lots of travel brochures. Lots of very clean bathrooms very well-kept building and grounds. Definitely recommend this as a stop along the way

This is the rest stop that is right past the "Tennessee Welcomes You" sign on interstate 65. I've been here plenty of times throughout the years as it's roughly 45 minutes to 1 hour away from downtown Nashville. Bathrooms are large and clean. There are vending machines available. Smoking areas outside and even some benches and a sculpture to keep you sane during road trips.

No grills at the picnic tables Tony and I love to go to Chattanooga area so we stop at this rest area quite a bit. We also like to picnic or cookout since we can't grill at our apartment in Nashville, so we notice things like Grill or no grill at picnic tables..this facility has NO grills available. But a great restroom and plenty of parking. There is also plenty of literature to plan your next weekend outing.. Pet friendly with a great walking area for your traveling pooch! Please don't be offended by Pooch, that is my puppy's name!!!! Please enjoy this wonderful facility. There are wonderful views of Nickleback Lake..I wish there were grills, but maybe they are afraid you will stay too long if you are grilling verses a picnic basket of cold chicken or sandwiches...the views are gorgeous!!!

This is the nicest rest area I have ever been in. It's very welcoming and soon as you pass from Kentucky into Tennessee this is the Tennessee welcome area. Have a nice walking Track or you can kind of walk around it's about a quarter-mile welcome to Tennessee signs I got a nice little music playing in the background everywhere restrooms are really nice neat and clean they even have a security guard here to keep people safe. There's a lot of nice pretty flowers and a lot of trees and just a lot of good nice things here. Really enjoyed stopping here and I'm glad we did on our trip. It's a nice welcoming area best one I've ever seen five stars.

    It's nice

Busy but clean and informative. You can still get free foldup roadmaps, and there's some interesting local historical information. Nice building, good restrooms. Excellent choice for a break in a road trip. Puts the welcome centers of the neighboring states to shame.

It is an easy right-hand exit with a straightforward entrance and plenty of parking for both cars and large trucks. It is a good first stop to stretch your legs, take a break from driving, and pick up information about the Bluegrass State before continuing your journey. One of the first things you'll notice after parking is the large horse statue outside the building to the right. It's a fitting welcome to Kentucky since it is well known for its horse farms and racing heritage. Also, marketing-wise, it makes for a great photo opportunity before heading inside. Inside the main building, it is spacious, bright, and very well maintained. It is a large open lobby with a round information desk in the center of the room. There were brochures of lots of the attractions arrayed on the round desk and derby pictures and other sights on the outside of the informational desk. The restrooms are conveniently located on either side of the main lobby, making them easy to find even if you're in a hurry. Everything was clean, both inside and outside. The parking areas were free of litter. Overall, I would certainly recommend stopping here if you're entering Kentucky on I-65. It is a pleasant, convenient, and well-maintained place to begin your travels through the Commonwealth. Enjoy!

Despite there being two check-in areas, we weren't even acknowledged until I approached the desk and greeted the employee myself. I was then told she "doesn't like to tell guests to move." A simple acknowledgment that we were standing there waiting would have been basic customer service. Later that night, around 11:50 p.m., guests were outside on the pool deck directly outside our window talking, laughing, and being loud. I called the front desk and was told there was no closing time or quiet time for the deck, but they would ask them to quiet down. Twenty minutes later, nothing had changed. When I called again, I was told there was nothing they could do, but they had complimentary earbuds available. Offering earbuds instead of addressing excessive noise directly outside a guest's window around midnight is unacceptable. Between the poor service at check-in and the way the noise complaint was handled, I would not recommend this hotel and will be contacting Holiday Inn/IHG corporate about our experience.
