Overall they did a great job on my shift linkage. The end product came out beautifully. The reason I took one star off was due to the delay in shipping and I feel that their customer communications could be improved. I ordered the part and completed the custom approval process on July 6th and the item arrived today, Sept 2nd, closer to 8 weeks than the 4 - 6 promised. On the 6 week mark I emailed and asked about the status of my order. The next day I had a reply that it had been delayed but they were expecting it any day now. The process for creating a custom shift linkage was very simple. I created a JPG file with the artwork I wanted done. They responded the next day with a mockup/example of how the shift linkage would look and I'm glad they did. When I saw how my original design would look, I immediately made some changes and sent in new artwork. Easy to work with. I posted a few pictures of my "Kaos" shift linkage. Great job NB! read more

My shift linkage was ordered in the 1st week of May. They said 6 weeks and it would be done. Going on 2 months now and still no shift linkage. When I called last week, on Wednesday, they said it was ready to be shipped. However, it would not be shipped out until Saturday or Monday. It has been a week and still nothing. I would love to taste them on the product, but I don't have it yet. UPDATE: At almost 9 weeks I finally got my shift linkage. But one and was bent and there was rust in the threads and the were burrs all along the back side. The best they could do was offer to order me another part and send me a shipping label for the old linkage. They also made empty promises that I would get the new part in 4 to 6 weeks. read more

Did NB install your stereo? If so hopefully it was after they fired Justin. He did mine and used cheap low speaker wire (Wal-Mart), didn't properly ground the amp, improperly mounted the fairing speakers (arcing on frame), lid speakers paint didn't match and still leak like a sieve today, etc. etc. etc. I have pictures if anyone is interested. New installer who fixed all this mess is Audio Plus in Riverview said it is the worst and most dangerous install they have ever seen. NB Owner Frederick, during Gibtown bike fest, finally agreed to fix and it and wanted me to get it done locally (Tampa). I did but now he won't return my emails or texts after I sent him the $600 bill. I originally paid over $1K to NB (way over paid for the inferior product and labor). So I doubt he will be a man of his word and repay me. He was hoping I would just go away. I am only going to get reimbursed via Small claims court. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE & PRODUCTION PROBLEMS. I made my first trip to the Myrtle Beach rally in May 2013 where they had a booth. I was impressed with their custom shift linkage products and prepaid over $200 for one on 5/20/13. They told me it would be 6-8 weeks and I heard nothing from them after I was out of that 8-week window. I initiated contact with them and was told that they had backed up because of problems with the people who do their chrome work. First delay. I was told it would be a little longer. After several more weeks, I had to initiate contact again with them to find out that the chrome work was finally completed, but the quality wasn't good. Second delay. This was in August 2013 and Frederick told me that the production timeline (6-8 weeks) would start over again on my order. With some hesitation, I agreed when he offered a $40-$50 discount on the prepayment that I made at Myrtle months prior. I heard nothing from them for longer than 6-8 weeks again on the second attempt, so I recontacted them in December 2013 (the 7-month anniversary of my order). At this point, I was done with them and asked for a refund. They emailed me and admitted that they "totally dropped the ball on this one having some issues with growing pains and communication" and that my linkage was "cut and ready to ship and has been sitting in a non-ship area of our shop." Most businesses would have offered to finish the linkage and return my money for my trouble, but that didn't happen either. They agreed to refund my money and said to "allow 3 to 5 business days for it to show up on your statement." I received that email on 12/18/13 and didn't receive it until January 6, 2014. I had a long talk with the owner again and he was apologetic and conciliatory. He promised a surprise for me in the mail in the future, so we'll see how this story ends.
