I've learned about my body type, and through diet, herbal supplements, and walking (exercise) the pyramidal pivot for recovery, I've been able to achieve this unbelievable feat. It's not a yo-yo effect but a permanent solution; she also assisted me in overcoming my stubborn migraines. She is a great listener, soft-spoken, no judging, works out an individual plan to suit your goal, and Dr.Manvikar is resilient to help you achieve your target objective. I highly recommend her for any of your health needs! Thanks, Dr.Manvikar, for your support and assistance to me. God bless!

I was having GI trouble. My primary care doc is trained in integrative medicine and, unfortunately,…read morethe results of the tests she did were inconclusive. So she recommended Ayurveda, which brought up a new challenge for me. I know how to find an Ayurvedic doctor in India, but how do I find a suitable one locally? I had two major criteria: Excellent training and a kind and caring person. And I found just the right person. Dr. Asavari Manvikar fits both criteria. She trained in India at a premier institution in Pune, India, getting both her bachelor's and master's degrees. Her thesis was awarded a gold medal by the Institute of Medicine. She served as a Doctor of Ayurveda Medicine, faculty member at an Ayurveda college where she conducted and published research on integrative approaches for illnesses like cancer and diabetes. Then she trained in the US in integrative medicine--great! Now, she teaches a graduate level class in Ayurveda at the Univ of MN. Wonderful qualifications! As soon as I met her, I knew I had found the person I wanted to work with. She was warm and very easy to talk with. She listened very well and was respectful and kind. In all or our interactions, I have felt very comfortable and well cared for and listened to. I have found Ayurveda to be extremely helpful and my GI system is much more resilient now. Of course, after a life time of GI troubles, I knew it would take a while and, indeed, it did. After a couple of years I noticed that I was much more resilient. Not just my GI system (fewer tummy upsets, able to eat more things than before w/o stomach issues) but my immune system as well. My allergies were much better, my sleep improved and I had more energy. I have been able to stay off strong Western medicines--they helped me when I needed them but I did not want to be on them forever. And the changes have held over time and I feel so much better. I am so glad I am using Ayurveda and very pleased to be working with such a competent and caring professional. If you are looking for a natural approach to helping your body, I suggest trying Ayurveda. It is gentle and takes a holistic approach addressing mind, body and spirit. And I strongly recommend you seek treatment from Dr. Manvikar. I know you will like her and she will help you. I wish you all the best on your healing journey.

I have cancer genes so I am constantly having screenings. They are rude, do not return calls, takes weeks of you harassing them to get anywhere but they will stalk you constantly if they have a question. Constantly cancel and reschedule appointments. If your under their care you are already upset and stressed but they make it a million times worse and could care less if your upset. Downright nasty on the phones. They make an already horrible emotional situation into a nightmare. I'm willing to risk late detection to go elsewhere as I flat out will not deal with these people again. They may have top of the line equipment and great doctors but dealing with their schedulers, rescheduling, and absolutely rude or lack of customer service and complete lack of caring is not worth it.

Come on Fairview, if there's an appointment phone line how can only certain people schedule certain types of services? Edit: it's been 5 days since I first called, and still no appointment. I've called them 4 times and each time I'm on hold in the queue for at least 10 minutes, only to be told I must speak with Dan to schedule my appointment, and Dan will call me back at his first available convenience.

When it came about that Mohs was necessary to remove a basal cell carcinoma from my scalp, Dr. Tschetter, her assistant, Shayna, and her scheduling coordinator, Christina, were all fantastic at helping me out. I was able to get an appointment for the same week that I called, they kept me calm and answered all of my questions. Even though I had to go back 3x to get cancer removed, I was glad that Dr. Tschetter was conservative in her approach so that I'll have minimal scarring. She was also meticulous about how she closed up the site so that I will have a straight-line scar along the center part of my hair - it'll be imperceptible once it's fully healed. I am really optimistic about my recovery and couldn't be more thankful that I landed at Dermatology Specialists for this procedure.
