We had breakfast here because the bed and breakfast where we stayed gave us a coupon for breakfast. It was about a five block walk from our lodging and we probably wouldn't have eaten here if not for that coupon. So glad we did! I have been here several times so I thought it might be time to memorialize my impression here on Yelp. Natchez Coffee is tucked away on Franklin St in downtown Natchez. It's conveniently located near lots of shopping, restaurants, etc., It is surprisingly spacious inside and also offers some outdoor seating. They serve food but I've only ever done the coffee which has always been excellent. On my most recent visit I opted for the chai latte which was very tasty. One thing I have noticed is that the staff are never very friendly. I always feel like I'm putting them out by being there. I have never felt welcomed but it's the only place I know and the coffee is always good so I keep coming back! read more

Very sweet staff, but not a place for coffee. Ordered an iced latte with an extra shot (which I paid for) and sugar free vanilla. I washed her out 9 pumps of syrup in the cup and then pull a pitcher of coffee out of the fridge, mix in almond milk and hand it to Mexico When I said id ordered a latte, she said "that's what this is" and I responded with "no, I think that's just iced coffee" and she replied "same thing, right?" I was visiting Natchez and needed a morning coffee. I found this place on maps and decided to check it out, and I'm glad I did! In the middle of town and various houses you may tour while in the area, the location was super convenient. It looks like half of the place was a sit down restaurant, while I just stopped in to grab a coffee to-go. The barista was super friendly and got my drink very quickly! I ordered an iced latte with oat milk which I really enjoyed, and there were other non-dairy options available if that interests you. There were lots of different drink options available. Found this little gem on Yelp. Listed as number one. It's a funky little place with great ambiance. Half is set up as a little coffee shop with a great selection on self serve coffee. If you want the fancy coffees, like lattes and macchiatos, you have to order them. The lady behind the counter gave us two menus and told us to sit anywhere. The tables are spread out due to COVID. We found a little round table in the corner next to all the Christmas decorations. Cute! I ordered the Lox and Bagel and my SO ordered the Toad in the Hole (which is toast with an egg fried in it). Mine was just generic. Good, but nothing special. 3 star. The Toad in the Hole was yummy. It was made with their own homemade yeast bread and it was so good!! Definitely 5 stars! I also ordered a chai latte and it was really good. Overall I'll give this place 4 star. The waitress was really sweet and the food came out fast. Definitely worth another visit. First time in for lunch (had breakfast here twice before). Very good! Soup of the day was sausage minestrone which I hesitated to try, but was glad I did. Served hot, and full of tasty crumbled sausage, pasta, and tomatoes. Cup size portion as part of a soup and 1/2 salad combo. California Garden salad was loaded with fruit, pecans, and cheese on a bed of green, but needed something - maybe dressing? (Perhaps forgotten? Or only on request) A delicious sweet corn muffin was included- like cake, as my dessert. Companion enjoyed a Reuben sandwich with in-house made tortilla chips. We enjoyed every bite. This is the cutest little coffee shop/restaurant I've run across in a very long time. So much southern charm and great coffee. So my disclaimer is that I didn't have breakfast only coffee, Jamaican me crazy and pound cake and both were amazing. I am wishing they weren't so far away. Service was A1 from the time I walked in from the time I walked out. I even got the opportunity to pay it forward while I was in the restaurant. Loved the atmosphere and the decor. If ever back in Natchez I will be stopping in to eat. They have a full breakfast and lunch menu and a buffet on Saturdays. They offered a full coffee menu with mochas and all. Yelp reviews brought me here, and I'm glad they did. Seemed like the entire town of Natchez came in right after we did too! Half my family hit up the breakfast buffet while the other half tried some pastries. They also have plate foods, so next time we're in Natchez, we'll try something different. Also, I'll have to return to try the yeast bread as we managed to miss it this time. Overall, the interior is super cute. Lots of art and special touch details. Service honestly could have been better, but I think that was due to the massive crowd that came in after we did. We were greeted, seated, and brought our drinks timely. Then, we didn't really see our server anymore. I went to buy pastries with my oldest (in the other side) and saw our server in that area. Later, we were ready to pay our bill, but she never came back to the side where we were. No worries at all though. I went to the cash register side where the pastries are and waited in the line of patrons. Luckily, the lady (who I questioned my have been the owner), asked if anyone just needed to pay their bill. Only went for a cup of coffee. Had I known that it was going to be $4 for an 89 cent cup of gas station coffee that I served myself, I would have just gone to the gas station. The lady taking money (because she didn't serve me) was less than helpful with a request for heavy cream instead of half and half. I left not feeling like my business was valued. read more

Do NOT Go! Worst Service I have ever had. Do not blame Covid or the lack of staff because there were only 5 tables full and NO ONE was wearing a mask!!! We saw 3 waitresses. 3 people behind the coffee counter, and at least two people in the kitchen. I went into the reasturant and was asked if I planned on dining in. I said yes and was told to take a seat anywhere and and waitress would be by. I wanted to order a latte but I was brushed off and told to get coffee that was on the counter; I was not afforded any opportunity to order any speciality coffee. 25 minutes went by and no waitress comes. I had to go ask to be served from the front. The waitress comes by and takes our order. I asked her two questions about food and she replied with "I don't know." 20 minutes went by and I finally received the muffin I ordered. An hour went by and I was not served a simple meal of eggs and toast, and a bagel with lox. I went to find a waitress to ask how much longer and she was in the side room on her phone laughing and joking. The other people in the building were not being served either. There were people in there before me and they still didn't have their food either. I ended up paying for the coffee I didn't want and leaving without any breakfast. Been to this place twice and service and food are both less than stellar for the cost. The coffee selection is wide and good however, the Biscuit and sausage was about the same as the one I got for free at days inn but cost six bucks. Scones are cakey rather than biscuity and served cold on a plate. Waitress sent me up to get those myself to be told at the counter the waitress could get them. Never saw the waitress again had to go up for a check. Minus stars for cost, level of food quality and subpar service. This coffee shop has a lot of potential. They have a big menu and are located in a beautiful building in the middle of downtown Natchez. However, I could not get out of there fast enough. The buffet seemed to have the potential to be a super-spreader for COVID and should not have been allowed. The salty lady taking orders was not wearing a mask and was visually overwhelmed and aggravated that people wanted to give them money for coffee and muffins.
