So got real emergencies, go to Albany, but even an ER may be a relatively unsupervised PA, which is really 3 plus 2 years, not 4 plus 4 plus 3 years of MD training. Urgent care is an accident waiting to happen for anything that is not basic. OrthoNY and Cardiology Associates of Schenectady have walkin hours, so that is appropriate as needed. I understand that not every test will give the answer someone is hoping for, but bedside manner matters--especially when the situation is emotionally sensitive.
